Furong town is an ancient town with a history of more than 2,000 years. It is located by the Youshui River. As early as the fifth year of Emperor Gaozu, it was set up as the administrative office of Youyang County, which was called "Youyang Xiongzhen" in history. Thanks to the convenience of Youshui River, I went to Sichuan and Guizhou and returned to Dongting. Since ancient times, it has been one of the important trading ports in Xiangxi. It is known as "Chu and Shu meet Tianjin" and enjoys the reputation of "four famous towns" in Xiangxi.
The ancient town is surrounded by water on three sides. The water in Wulishiban Street winds up the mountain, and the cliffs of Tujia Diaojiao Building are row upon row. The strangest thing is that the Youshui River passes through the town, and when it flows through here, it encounters two cliffs in succession, forming a secondary waterfall with a height of 60 meters and a width of nearly 40 meters. The waterfall was cut into several large scales by the rugged cliff, and it fell from a height of tens of meters, which was magnificent, like the roar of the waterfall water impact.
Above the cliff by the river at the entrance of the waterfall, there is a luxurious Tujia quadrangle called Youyang Palace, also known as Tusi Palace. The palace is built on the mountain, all made of wood structure, with cornices, black tile walls, cornices hanging walls and wooden railings. Walking around the corner, it is magnificent. It can be said that "there is a patio on it, the sun and the moon rotate, and the fish in the pond swim in spring, summer, autumn and winter."

Wang Peng, the Tusi, was the first emperor of Tujia nationality, where the Tusi dynasty was established. This palace was also built during this period. Tusi Temple Village is named Wang Xing, so it is called Wang Village.
At that time, Wangcun, which was in charge of more than 20 counties in the border area of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing and Guizhou, was the political and economic center of the whole western Hunan. In A.D. 1 135, the toast Wang Peng Fu moved to Yongshun, the capital, and made it the Summer Palace.
The building we see now was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. They are still well-preserved, which can be called the perfect combination of Tujia architectural culture and natural landscape, and known as "the soul of landscape furong town".
A five-mile long bluestone road runs through the ancient town. It has no name, so people just call it Wuli Long Street. Stepping on the ancient street is like stepping on the fragments left by long years. Seen from a distance, it is like a thread-bound book opened by the hand of God, quietly and steadily unfolding by the Youshui River. The spine of the book is a blue slate polished by the years, and the stilts on the page and the joys and sorrows inside and outside the building move with the years, and many sonorous and warm stories are interpreted.
It is drizzling in the sky, and Qingshi Street is as smooth as a mirror. After thousands of years of wind and rain, there is a pure and simple atmosphere everywhere.
The layout of the whole street is concise and decent. Walking on this long and narrow stone street feels fresh and comfortable. This is a street, but it is actually a narrow stone road. Several people can walk side by side in a wide place, and only one person can walk sideways in a narrow place. If the person with the oil-paper umbrella walks opposite, it needs to walk sideways on both sides to stagger.
Strolling in the winding streets and lanes, there are rows of green tile wooden houses on both sides, which are scattered along the mountain. Tujia folk customs can be seen everywhere. Signs made of one-dollar fish, rice tofu, bandits smoke, bamboo wine and Tujia brocade cloth are swaying in the wind in front of the eaves of various shops, regardless of the breeze and drizzle.
When you arrive in furong town, you must try rice tofu. Rice tofu shops can be seen everywhere in the streets. Every family hangs the brand of "Authentic Liu Xiaoqing Rice Tofu", which is very eye-catching. There are bowls of rice tofu on the table facing the street, and an endless stream of tourists stop in the store to eat a bowl happily.
Rice bean curd, which is also the enterprise run by the heroine Hu and the actor Hu in the film furong town, is regarded as the image spokesperson of rice bean curd in Laojie today. I casually walked into an "authentic Liu Xiaoqing rice tofu" shop. There were many customers in the shop. Most of them were eating rice tofu with their heads in their mouths.
I picked a seat near the cliff to see the waterfall, and I couldn't wait to yell at the store: "Two bowls of rice tofu!" " "The wife of shop-owner should clearly say" yes! "Warm and generous, very Liu Xiaoqing's charm.
Soon, two bowls of rice tofu were served on the table: white and tender rice tofu lying quietly at the bottom of the bowl, looking crystal clear, red pepper, green chopped green onion, glistening garlic paste, crispy diced mustard tuber, sour vinegar and black soy sauce, which were really eye-catching.
Spoon rice tofu and taste it slowly. It feels smooth, sour and delicious and full of flavor. Taste it carefully, it is fragrant, spicy, fresh and tender, which is very enjoyable. Rice tofu slips from the tip of the tongue, the root of the tongue and the throat. That kind of smooth feeling, that kind of hot and sour taste, that kind of salty taste is absolutely unimaginable to those who have never tasted it.
