Special funds for tourism development in cities and counties

Cities and counties that set up special funds for tourism development are mainly concentrated in areas with high grade of tourism resources and great potential for tourism development. Local governments have shifted their focus to tourism development and construction, not only actively striving for special funds for central and provincial tourism development, but also allocating some funds from local finance to set up special funds for local tourism development.

2. Declaration procedure

(1) Municipal Tourism Special Fund Declaration

By the municipal tourism authorities to put forward the guidance of special funds for the next year, and guide all localities to declare the project;

During the annual reporting period, all regions and departments put forward project plans for the use of special funds as required;

The declaration plan shall be submitted to the competent tourism department and the financial department for review;

After the approval of the municipal government, the approval letter of the project plan will be issued;

In some areas, the application process is different. First of all, the tourism project unit puts forward the fund subsidy plan, which is reported to the relevant departments after being audited by the local financial department.

(2) Declaration of special funds for county-level tourism

The declaration of county-level tourism special funds is first put forward by the tourism project unit, and the fund application report is submitted to the county tourism bureau and the Finance Bureau. After being audited by the county tourism bureau and the Finance Bureau and approved by the county government, the county finance department will allocate funds.
