The best viewing period of red leaves in Mangshan Forest Park;

Mid-late June 10 to mid-June 1 10.

Hongye viewing route:

There is an eye-catching painted corridor on the north side of the Giant Buddha Square in the scenic spot, and the east side of the corridor is the entrance of the best route to watch the red leaves. Starting from the wooden plank road on the right, along the ridge, the red leaves of Mangshan Mountain slowly open, at your fingertips, as if you were in a thick color fog, which makes people intoxicated.

From a distance, there are so many stacks, which are in harmony with pines, cypresses and cypresses. About an hour and a half later, we reached the highest point of the wooden plank road, saw winding mountains, the layers of forests were dyed and relaxed, and then walked up the stairs, winding all the way, and the unique fresh breath of the mountains came to our faces. About two hours later, we arrived at the observation deck with the highest altitude in Mangshan Mountain, Wuguan. 0

It is said that there was a boa constrictor in Mangshan at the end of Yuan Dynasty, which often hurt passers-by. Then came an imam named Sun Haiba. He volunteered to put on clothes covered with knives, got into the boa constrictor's stomach and killed it. Sun also died soon. After his death, people buried him in Heying Village, Nanshao Township, Changping, where there are still some. To commemorate bathing in the sea, people call this mountain Mangshan. In addition, because this mountain is majestic, like a huge python, it is called Mangshan by fellow villagers.

The park is 320 kilometers away from Guangzhou, all the way to the expressway, and the provincial road enters Mangshan, which is beautiful and clean. There are two kinds of tickets, one is the three scenic spots in 80 yuan (Monkey King Village, Tiantai Mountain and Jiangjun Village), and the other is 190 yuan (Wu Zhifeng). If you visit the first three scenic spots, you can go in early and go out late. Here I suggest to arrange 2-3 days to play slowly.

There are many hotels outside the park, and I prefer to stay inside. On the first day, I stayed at Mangshan Forest Hotel in the park. This hotel used to be a state-owned hotel, but now it is in the stage of redecorating and waiting for approval. The facilities are old, there is no TV, no Wifi. Rooms and hotels are spacious. The best location is at the entrance of Jiangjun Village, the deepest part. It takes 40 minutes by park bus from the gate. The mountain road is ok, but it is rugged. The next day, I stayed at Acacia Inn halfway up the mountain. It's a newly opened private house with a relatively small room. There are only two hotels in the park. There may be one or two homestays. There is a Hunan hometown restaurant in both places, which is cheap and delicious. Visitors can drive into the mountains on weekdays, and it is best to consult in advance on holidays. The car can be parked in the park parking lot for free, and you can buy a ticket to take the park shuttle bus.

So I only suggest you go to Mangshan Mountain, because the four scenic spots have their own flavors and are beautiful.

You can go to Monkey King Village, 300 meters away from the park gate, and walk up the valley plank road, which takes about 2~4 hours. There are dozens of waterfalls on both sides of the peak. The water is clear, deep and green, and the sound of water is roaring or falling.
