Siming District of China Merchants Bureau is located in the south of Xiamen, bounded by 24 26' ~ 24 28' north latitude and118 03' ~1813' east longitude, and bounded by the south of Xiamen Island and Gulang.

The surrounding sea area of Siming District is wide, with a port area of 275 square kilometers and a wide water depth. The outer channel has a water depth of 12 ~ 25m and a width of 1000m or more, and can be used for navigation of 65438+ 10,000-ton ships. The water depth of the inner channel is mostly above 10 meter, with a local water depth of 8 meters and a width of several hundred meters. The tidal range in the harbor is 4 ~ 6 meters, the ebb tide velocity is greater than the flood tide velocity, and the sediment deposition is less. Located in the subtropical zone, it is not frozen all year round. The average annual foggy day is 30.8 days, which has little influence on navigation.

The terrain of Siming District is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with hills, terraces and plains transitioning to the coast in turn. Because of its small area, short rivers directly flowing into the sea and small total water resources on the island, Siming District cannot meet the needs of production and life. The water diversion project of Jiangbei Creek in Kowloon has become the main water supply source of Xiamen Island. Granite hills, mountains and beaches provide natural resources for tourism.

Siming District is the economic, political, cultural and financial center of Xiamen. Located in the south of Xiamen (including Gulangyu Island), it is adjacent to Huli District in the north, surrounded by the sea on three sides, and faces the Xiaojinmen Islands and Zhangzhou mainland across the sea. There are Gulangyu, Lujiang, Zhonghua, Xiamen Port, Kaiyuan, Yunyou, Wucun, Jia Lian, Lianqian and Binhai 10 sub-district offices and 96 community neighborhood committees.

Siming District thoroughly studied and practiced Scientific Outlook on Development, fully implemented the State Council's "Several Opinions on Supporting Fujian Province to Accelerate the Construction of the Economic Zone on the West Side of the Taiwan Strait", constantly promoted the construction of a strong national zone, and meticulously built an important business operation center, consumer shopping center and tourist distribution center in the Economic Zone on the West Side of the Taiwan Strait. Huli District was established in June 1987 1 1, located in the north of Xiamen Island. The main features of Huli District are:

Fourth, the trend of industrial transformation is obvious. After more than 20 years of development, Huli District has rapidly completed the industrialization process and gradually realized the industrial development strategy of "retiring one excellent, strengthening two and strengthening three". Fifth, comprehensive urbanization has been rapidly promoted. Huli District has always been one of the key development areas in the city. The influx of foreign population, on the one hand, has made important contributions to the construction and prosperity of the special zone, on the other hand, it has also brought great pressure to the urban management, social security and compulsory education in our region.

Huli District will focus on the overall situation of speeding up the construction of "two pioneering areas" on the west side of the Taiwan Strait, fully implement the spirit of the 14th plenary session of the Sixth CPC Central Committee in accordance with the requirements of "six pioneering areas", highlight "five stresses and five promotion" (focusing on transformation to promote promotion, commerce to promote prosperity, projects to promote stamina, stability to promote harmony, and service to promote implementation), and pay more attention to promoting the transformation of economic development mode and industrial structure adjustment. Pay more attention to the improvement of urban quality and taste, strive to be the vanguard of the construction of the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait, and strive to build a business operation, modern logistics, high-tech research and development and tourism distribution center on the west side of the Taiwan Strait to better serve the overall development of the province and the whole city. Jimei district is an important gateway to Xiamen Island in the west, bordering Changtai in Zhangzhou in the northwest, Tongan District in Xiamen in the northeast, Haicang District in Xiamen in the southwest and Xiamen Island in the southeast. It is located in the geometric center of Xiamen and has a unique geographical advantage. With a total area of 276 square kilometers, the whole district governs Guankou and Houxi towns, Xinglin, Jimei, Qiaoying and Xingbin sub-district offices, 35 community neighborhood committees and 2 1 administrative villages. 1May 1989 and1February 1992, the State Council approved the establishment of Xinglin and Jimei Taiwanese Investment Zones, which are important windows for Xiamen Special Economic Zone to open to the outside world. Jimei's highways extend in all directions. Shenhai Expressway, National Highway 324 and National Highway 3 19 run through the whole territory, and Jimei Avenue and Xianghai Avenue are basically completed, initially forming a "five horizontal and five vertical" urban transportation backbone grid. Jimei is also an important interface inside and outside Xiamen Island. Three bridges and one dike (Xiamen Bridge, Jimei Bridge, Xinglin Bridge and Gaoji seawall) among the six access routes in Xiamen Island pass through Jimei, and BRT Line 1 and Line 2 pass through Jimei.

Second, the construction of the new city has been comprehensively promoted. The urban built-up area of the whole region covers an area of 54 square kilometers, showing the development pattern of "one heart and four pieces" butterfly city. Jimei Taiwanese Investment Zone has become the second batch of "National Demonstration Bases for New Industrialization Industries", with Zheng Xin (Tire), Jinlong Automobile, Xiamen University, Anne, Sakura, Li Lun (Li Lin), WISH (Weiss) and other well-known domestic enterprises.

Fourth, the tertiary industry has developed rapidly. In 2008, jimei district implemented "the first year of great development of modern service industry", accelerated the development of the tertiary industry, and strived to optimize and adjust the economic and industrial structure. Dr. Sun Yat-sen put forward the grand idea of building Haicang into an "oriental port" in the General Plan for the Founding of the People's Republic of China. At the beginning of the 20th century, two international consortia, Asia in Britain and Mobil in the United States, also used Haicang as a transit point for transporting oil and a refueling base for ships.

Tongan District, also known as "Silver City", was established in the third year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (AD 282) and was withdrawn from the county in May 1997. After adjustment, it is still the largest administrative region in Xiamen, with a total land area of 658 square kilometers. Tongan has a long history and is known as "the land of Zou and Lu on the seashore and the hometown of cultural relics". It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese and Taiwan compatriots. The main products and resources in China are aquatic products, vegetables and fruits. There are nearly 30 kinds of special agricultural products in this area, especially purple eggplant, mustard, water bamboo, betel nut taro, longan, fruit cane and prawn. Mineral resources are kaolin, hot springs, mineral water and granite. The tourism resources are unique, including Brahma Temple, Millennium Temple, Meishan Temple, Twelve Longtan Waterfalls in Beichen Mountain, Confucius Temple complex, Tongan Film and Television City and other scenic spots. There are three provincial-level cultural relics protection units, including Tingxi Kiln Site, Fanjing Tower and Lushan Hall, the former residence of Su Song. There are Lotus National Forest Park, Wild Valley Ecological Park, Guangjin Lake "Forest Home", Kaige Golf Course, Cuifeng Hot Spring Hotel and the Land of Victory.

Xiang 'an is the closest place to Kinmen in Chinese mainland at present, only 1800 meters, and there are nearly 400,000 Taiwan compatriots from Xiang 'an. Xiang' an and Jinmen are very familiar. In history, weddings have been frequent, and geography, blood relationship, arts and sciences, law and business are mixed. In particular, Dalong is closely related to Kinmen. Both sides have the same language and similar folk customs.
