Seek detailed strategies for the 2-day tour of Dujiangyan in Qingcheng Mountain.

Route: Dujiangyan-Qingcheng Mountain

Arrive in the morning and visit Dujiangyan scenic spot: visit Nanqiao first.

Then enter Dujiangyan Scenic Area from Lidui Park, and visit Monument Pavilion, Lidui, Gong Yan Road and Qingxi Garden, the first post-disaster garden in western Sichuan.

Visit Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project, Baojiangkou Water Intake, Feishayan Flood Discharge Dam and Guanyuzui Diversion Dike, all of which were built by Li Bing of Shu County on the Minjiang River during the Warring States Period (227 BC).

Crossing the Anlansuo Bridge across the Minjiang River, you can see the Qinyan Building being rebuilt after being damaged in the 5. 12 earthquake, and the Erwang Temple in memory of Li Bing and his son.

In the afternoon, visit Qingcheng Mountain, the birthplace of Taoism, which is listed as a "world cultural heritage" and has the reputation of "Qingcheng Mountain is still in the world".

Enter from the mountain gate, climb the stairs, pass the rain pavilion, nature pavilion, Yilewo, and sound pavilion, and you will come to the nature painting workshop.

Located on the ridge of Paifanggang in Longjushan, the natural painting workshop is a pavilion with ten corners and double eaves in Qing Dynasty.

Through Yinshan Pavilion, Ningcui Bridge and Wudongtian, I came to Shi Tian Cave, the residence of Zhang Daoling, the founder of Taoism.

Going down the mountain along the original road, I feel that Qingcheng Mountain is integrated with the sky and the green, and the peaks, valleys and temples are all hidden in lush green trees.

Taoist Pavilion is a seclusion in Qingcheng, which is made of natural materials and is not carved. It is integrated with mountains and springs.

Catering:

You can have dinner at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain at noon.

Dujiangyan tips

Dujiangyan has beautiful scenery and pleasant climate, but it is unexpectedly located on the Longmenshan fault zone. A major earthquake on May 12, 2008 tore the beautiful scenery that most Dujiangyan people are proud of. Signs of "danger" or "availability" are posted on some buildings in Dujiangyan city and scenic spots. Please stay away from unsafe places and eat and rest in safe places.

Optimal travel time

The best time to travel in Dujiangyan is July and August every year. Dujiangyan and nearby Qingcheng Mountain are excellent summer resorts around Chengdu when most parts of the Sichuan Basin are extremely hot, with pleasant climate and cool breeze. In summer, you can also participate in Dujiangyan's Summer Night Beer Festival, which is very lively and has an exotic carnival atmosphere. It is worth mentioning that a grand water release festival will be held in Tomb-Sweeping Day and Dujiangyan on April 5th, when you can feel the lively and extraordinary festive atmosphere.

A small thing not to be missed
