Shaoxing has many tourist attractions. Basically, it is mainly based on the former residences of historical and cultural celebrities and the customs of Jiangnan water towns.

1. Lu Xun’s hometown, Shaoxing’s trump card scenic spot, is a must-go. It is currently free, but you must have a ticket to enter. You can choose to book tickets online with your ID card or collect tickets on site. If you have confirmed the time, you can book tickets online. If not, go to the tourist center of the scenic spot early in the morning to collect it (there are only 4,000 tickets per day, and they will be gone if you are late). Ticket attractions include Baicao Garden, Lu Xun Memorial Hall, Lu Xun’s Former Residence, Lu Xun’s Ancestral Residence, Sanwei Bookstore, etc. Nearby attractions include Shen Garden, the famous love garden (where Lu You and Tang Wan met), with tickets for 30 yuan.

2. To appreciate the beauty of Jiangnan Water Town, Cangqiao Straight Street is a must-visit. Cangqiao Straight Street is located to the west of the city square and at the east foot of Fushan (the seat of the capital of Yue State). It is a UNESCO protected unit. At the intersection of Cangqiao Zhi Street and Fuheng Street, there are more distinctive Shaoxing snacks. Zhuangyuanlou and Wuli Restaurants are both good. Next to it is along the river, and you can see the awning boats coming leisurely. There is also the Guxuan Pavilion nearby, as well as the statue of Qiu Jin, which is the place where Qiu Jin was killed (the description of human blood steamed buns in Lu Xun's work "Medicine"). These places are very close and can be reached within walking distance. If you don’t understand, just ask someone.

3. In the evening, you can go to Jishan Park in the south of the city. There is a miniature version of Shaoxing Customs Park, free of charge. There are pavilions and many different bridges inside. In the evening, it is recommended to take a cruise on the Huancheng River, enjoy the breeze in the Jiangnan water town, see the customs of the people on the river, and see the Jiangnan covered bridges. The whole trip will pass by the eight major parks of the Huancheng River in Shaoxing.

4. Other recommended places in the city include the Bazi Bridge (an ancient overpass, you can go and see it), the Rice Wine Museum, the West Garden, the former residence of Zhou Enlai, etc. If you are interested, you can take the time to check it out.

5. Among the scenic spots outside the urban area, the more famous one is East Lake (as famous as West Lake in Hangzhou and South Lake in Jiaxing, but it feels a bit stingy. Take bus No. 1 from Jiefang Road to get there, the ticket is 30). Lanting (calligraphy holy land, ticket price 30 yuan), you can take a taxi there, about 30 yuan. You can also take bus. You can take bus 303 or 23 from the city square to the entrance of the scenic spot. Dayu Mausoleum (the legendary home of Dayu is here, and there is a ceremony to worship Yu every year. You can also climb the mountain. The combined ticket is 50 yuan, and you can buy Dayu Tomb separately for 25 yuan). It is directly connected to the City Square by bus No. 2.

6. Another trump card scenic spot in Shaoxing - Keyan Scenic Spot. National 4A scenic spot. Located in Shaoxing County, there are Keyan Scenic Area (wonders of stone cutting), Jianhu Lake (ancient towpath, awning boat), and Lu Town (the style of Lu Xun's works is reproduced, and character actors such as Ah Q and Xianglin Sister-in-law perform in the town) . Personally, I think it's worth going there. You can basically spend a day there. The scenic area is very large. The combined ticket for three attractions is 100 yuan. You can reach it by taking bus 603 from Tashan in the city and bus 77 from Lu Xun’s hometown.
