Shuangbai county travel

Shuangbai used to belong to ancient Yunnan, and there are many unique festivals, such as Torch Festival, Elephant Trunk Mountain Festival, Tiger Jumping Festival and Street Opening Festival.

Torch Festival

Torch Festival: Torch Festival is held on June 24th of the lunar calendar every year, which is an annual festival of the Yi people. During the festival, families kill chickens and sheep, light fires and dance all night, and hold activities such as singing ancient songs and offering sacrifices to Vulcan. At first, a cattle-pulling competition was held, and then the cattle were killed to worship their ancestors and eaten separately. On the 25th, people celebrated from house to house day and night. Worship Vulcan on the 27th, "send torches" on the 28th, and stop gong and dance.

Elephant trunk mountain festival

It is held in Shibao Village, Hekou Village Committee, Damaidi Town, Shuangbai County on March 16th every year. The mountain where the village is located looks like an elephant's nose from a height, hence the name Elephant Trunk Mountain. Every festival, Yi people near Elephant Trunk Mountain will spontaneously gather in Elephant Trunk Mountain. Like festivals, everyone puts on brand-new clothes and revels, eating and living in the mountains from morning till night. I wish the coming year a good weather and peace.

Dragon Boat Festival

Popular in the area of Fadian Village Committee in Fabiao Town, Shuangbai County, it dances farming at four o'clock to have a good rest, so as to pray for "good weather and abundant crops". Dragon dance is mainly used for festivals, and it is a dance performed by the Wu Luo branch of the local Yi people on the Dragon Boat Festival on the second day of the second lunar month. Ejina, located in the south of Shuangbai County, Chuxiong Prefecture, is a valley corridor between the middle and upper section of Ailao Mountain and Lishe River. In ancient times, it was inhabited by Pu people, and ancestors such as Yi and Dai lived by grazing, belonging to the southernmost region of the ancient Ailao country. Ailao is a mountain name and a country name. It is as famous as the ancient Dian kingdom, and it is earlier than Nanzhao. It was originally inhabited by ancient southwest barbarian Kowloon, but it did not reach China. Emperor Han Ming was a member of the family, so he set up a mourning prison. The origin of Ejina place names seems to be fabricated or legendary, but it is actually recorded in local chronicles, and the meteorites mentioned are well preserved so far.

Shibeishan no.20 north

A stone tablet is "Zhenning Native Land". Built in the thirty-sixth year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1557), it is located in Shibei Mountain at an altitude of 2640 meters. The stone tablet with a height of 3.3 meters and a width of 1. 1 meter is engraved with the four characters "Zhenning original soil", which still exists today.

The other is a stone tablet of "suppressing natives". Built in the thirty-ninth year of Wanli, this monument no longer exists. Hongshiyan and Shibei Mountain meet shoulder to shoulder and become two scenic spots in Shibei Mountain Scenic Area.

Baizhushan eco-tourism area

Baizhu Mountain is located at the junction of Fabiao Town and Yulong Township in the east of Shuangbai County, more than 30 kilometers away from the county seat. It consists of Yingpan Mountain, Baizhu Mountain and Sanjian Mountain. The highest peak of this mountain is 2554 meters. Cherry blossoms bloom every summer. In addition, there are fairy tables, strange ponds and ancient trenches.
