Guizhou and Chongqing’s spring visit
March 17-21, 2021, a 5-day spring trip to Guizhou and Chongqing.
I have already traveled all over Chongqing in 2020, but at the end of the year, a new 5A scenic spot was added here - Zhuoshui Scenic Spot. Chongqing is currently an absolutely internet celebrity city, and its attraction to tourists, especially foodies, is irresistible. The Pingba cherry blossoms in Anshun, Guizhou have also received a lot of attention from the media in the past two years. The cherry blossoms here usually reach their peak blooming period in mid-to-late March. It would be worthless to fly to Guiyang just to see the cherry blossoms. Therefore, combining Anshun Pingba Cherry Blossoms with Chongqing Zhuoshui Scenic Area becomes a valuable spring trip. That’s how we made the itinerary for the Fireworks Spring Visit in March.
We arrived in Guiyang at 19:00 on March 17. Our group members who arrived early picked us up at the airport. We went to the Lao Kaili Sour Fish Fish Soup near the Guanshan Lake Hotel to taste authentic Guizhou dishes.
DAY1? Cherry Blossom Viewing in Pingba
Last night while browsing the news, the APP pushed a piece of information about Guiyang Karst Park. This park is about 5 kilometers away from our hotel. We were on our way to the Sakura Garden, so we planned to visit this park on the way. It rained last night, and the morning air in Guiyang was extremely fresh. Compared with the strong sand and dust weather in Yinchuan and most northern cities in the past two days, Guiyang feels like a fairyland, with red willows and green trees everywhere, and the air is sweet and pure. The north gate of Karst Park is located on Cuiliu Road. Apart from the aunts doing square dancing, there are not many tourists in the park. In early spring, purple-leafed plums, cherry blossoms, crabapples and apricot blossoms bloom in the park. They are colorful and full of vitality, making people deeply feel the spirit of spring. There are three scenic spots in the Karst Park: South Stone Forest, North Stone Forest and Yangming Cottage. We followed the guide signs and went to South Stone Forest first. Regarding the Stone Forest, I have visited the Lunan Stone Forest in Kunming twice, and I have also visited the Wansheng Stone Forest in Chongqing. Compared with these well-known scenic spots in the stone forest world, the stone forest here is indeed insignificant. Although the scale is not comparable, the stone forest here also has its own characteristics. Entering the stone forest area, you will first see a narrow stone crevice like a line of sky, with narrow stone steps winding upwards. The stone forest has unique shapes, various shapes, and unique characteristics. The landscapes such as "Step by Step", "Elephant Trunk Stone" and "Yangming Stone Book" are lifelike and natural, which left a deep impression on us. Especially in the climbing sections, the dark-colored rocks are covered with green moss. Moss is a very delicate fungus, which requires a good ecological environment. The Karst Park is located in Guiyang City, and there are moss living in the park. It shows that the air quality here is quite good. It took us about 20 minutes to visit Binan Stone Forest. Because today’s main destination is Pingba Cherry Blossoms, we ended our tour of the Karst Park and drove to Anshun.
The Karst Park is 53 kilometers away from the Cherry Blossom Garden, via the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway and Guihuang Highway. Driving on the highway, Guiyang's poetic spring spreads warmly across the horizons on both sides. In the distance, the independent but faintly connected karst peaks show their delicate shapes. Bright yellow rapeseed fields and green farmland merge into a stunning carpet, which stretches from both sides of the road to the distant sky. . I really envy the people of Guizhou, who live in this picturesque picture every day. In this exciting March of fireworks, even if there is no boat to Yangzhou, it is still a blessing in life to come to this poetic and picturesque Guizhou! When we were about 16 kilometers away from our destination, a smoky cherry blossom garden landscape appeared on both sides of the highway. The large swathes of cherry blossoms hung low in the sky like solemn pink and white clouds, which was shocking! Unfortunately, we reacted too slowly and did not stop to take pictures, and we did not go back the same way when we returned, so this place became a stunning glimpse of our cherry blossom viewing trip! It's so memorable that I can't let it go for a long time.
It was about 10:00 when we arrived at the Sakura Garden. After we parked the car, we walked into the cherry blossom garden area. The entrance to the Sakura Garden Area is a Chinese-style archway with the words "Pingba Farm" on it, but there is a police badge hanging above the font. Later, after entering the scenic area, I found that "Guizhou Province Pingba Prison" is within the scenic area, so Pingba Farm Dam Farm should be a farm affiliated with the prison. There is also a stele at the entrance of the scenic spot, which is engraved with "Hongfeng Lake National Scenic Area". This should be the scientific name of "Pingba Farm". We read the guide before traveling and found out that Sakura Garden is now a popular internet attraction, with more than 200,000 visitors on Saturdays and Sundays. We thought that today was not a weekend, so there wouldn’t be too many people. The results proved that our idea was unrealistic. The cherry blossom garden is now overcrowded, packed with tourists.
The navigation map of Sakura Garden shows that there are four landscape areas in the park, namely Fanying Square, Xunying Garden, Manying Garden and Huayu Island. Except for Huayu Island, the other three All are core viewing areas. We followed the bustling crowd into the scenic area, and unknowingly passed through Fanying Square and arrived at Xunying Garden Scenic Area. Entering the Cherry Blossom Garden, winding or straight roads take visitors into a vast sea of ??flowers. The cherry trees are colorful with fallen flowers, petals flying, pink and white mist-like clouds everywhere, and cherry trees everywhere. The enchanting figure.
The wind blows and the cherry blossoms fall like snow, and flowers greet you all the way. In this early spring of March, when the spring breeze is gentle and the sun is warm, bathing in the rain of cherry blossoms flying all over the sky, letting the flying petals brush your face and hair, what other situation can be Is there a more ritualistic sense of embracing spring than here? Stroll through the flower paths with swaying branches in the cherry grove, wander in the sea of ??flying petals, and see many tourists happily taking photos in various poses under the cherry blossom trees. There are even many tourists wearing elegant and stretched clothes, red flying The green and dancing Han clothes, holding up a flower-fold umbrella full of ancient Chinese style, suddenly make people seem to have traveled to ancient times, or traveled to Japan. The feeling of intertwined time and space always strikes the thoughts, and flies away in confusion. .
The Pingba cherry blossom area reaches 24,000 acres, making it the largest and most concentrated cherry blossom planting area in Asia. The cherry blossoms here are mainly early cherry blossoms and pink cherry blossoms, with a total of more than 700,000 cherry blossoms. It is understood that at the beginning, the farm planted about 5,000 acres of cherry blossom seedlings, preparing to sell them when the cherry blossoms grew up, but before they could be sold, the cherry blossoms had already bloomed into a sea of ??flowers, attracting many tourists. The government took advantage of the situation and with the investment support of many enterprises, the cherry blossom garden quickly expanded to 24,000 acres. Before 2018, the Cherry Blossom Garden was only known to locals. Until someone uploaded an aerial photo of the Sakura Garden to REDDIT, which attracted world attention. People thought they were Japanese cherry blossoms, and then some viewers pointed out that they were Pingxiang cherry blossoms in Anshun, Guizhou. Dam cherry blossoms. In 2019, the British BBC reported here, which made the Pingba cherry blossoms explode in traffic and amazed the world. What is a bit regretful is that at the current time, the early cherry blossoms have stopped blooming, and the pink cherry blossoms have not bloomed yet, which is a bit stagnant. If it were another week later, it would be the peak blooming period of the pink cherry blossoms, and the scenery should be more beautiful than now, but at that time The early cherry blossoms are probably over. As the saying goes, "The moon waxes and wanes, and this matter has never been settled in ancient times." Once it comes, it will be settled.
After wandering through Xunying Garden, we went to Manying Garden. Since the distance is three kilometers, we chose electric bicycles. After passing Pingba Prison, and then driving through a commercial area, we came to the crowded Manying Garden. Manying Garden is a sloping landscape. There is a viewing platform set up in the scenic area at the high place, and you can go directly to the lake at the low place. The viewing platform here is indeed an excellent place to enjoy the scenery, and you can have a panoramic view of Huayu Island. Unfortunately, there are so many tourists that it is difficult to take a single photo. Hongfeng Lake is like a green gem, as warm as jade, with vast expanse of blue waves, and like a green ribbon wrapped around the pink-white Huayu Island. The pink and white cherry blossoms all over the island float like umbrella canopies on the blue waves. The big island in front is lively and unrestrained, in full swing, and the small island in the distance is gentle, beautiful and graceful. The sea of ??cherry blossoms is as bright as clouds, Huayu Island is pink and jade-shaped, the wind shakes the treetops, and the pink and white petals fly to the lake like snowflakes, giving the lake a melancholy and ecstatic scene. "It fell into mud and was crushed into dust, but the fragrance remains the same." Although the cherry blossoms do not have a refreshing smell, the falling flowers and fallen flowers on the ground make people often sigh with pity and a little sad feeling, "There is nothing I can do about it. The flowers fall away..." Wandering in the cherry blossom garden.
After visiting the Sakura Garden and admiring the Flower Rain Island, we went out to the Sakura Garden area. We originally planned to use a drone to take a panoramic view of the Sakura Garden area, but for some unknown reason, the drone showed signal loss after flying 150 meters or flying forward 500 meters, so we had to give up. This was a bit regretful.
After the cherry blossom viewing trip at the Cherry Garden, we originally planned to visit Xifeng Concentration Camp, but according to the navigation, it was 110 kilometers away and there was not enough round trip time, so we returned to Guiyang to Guiyang North Station and took the high-speed rail Go to Chongqing.
At 6:00 pm, the high-speed train pulled into Chongqing West Railway Station. After arranging accommodation, it was already the time when the lanterns started to turn on. Now that we have arrived in Chongqing, satisfying our appetite is a must-do. We came to Ba Guocheng in Jiulongpo and had a great meal at a hot pot restaurant called "Senior Brother Zhou".
DAY2? Take a dip in the water to explore the tranquility
March 19, 2021, the second day of the spring visit to Guizhou and Chongqing.
When you come to Chongqing, you also have to taste the long-awaited noodles. In the morning, I tasted Wanzan noodles at an old lady's noodle stall near Shapingba Southwest Hospital. I felt it was average and didn't have that memorable feeling.
The traffic in Chongqing urban area was very congested, and it took about 40 minutes to get on the Baomao Expressway. At 13:30, we arrived at Zhuoshui Scenic Area, which is about 40 kilometers east of Qianjiang River. Zhuoshui Scenic Area was only approved as a 5A scenic spot in December 2020. The scenic spot is composed of Zhuoshui Ancient Town, Wind and Rain Covered Bridge and Puhua Underground River. At the tourist service center, the service staff told me that due to the rising water in the Puhua River, boats are not allowed and only caves can be visited. If you want to swim in the underground river, you can visit the ancient town first and then see if the water level can drop tomorrow. In this case, we will visit the ancient town first.
Zhuoshui Scenic Area is located in Qianjiang County, more than 300 kilometers east of Chongqing. It applied to be a national 5A scenic spot in 2020. It is composed of three scenic spots: Zhuoshui Ancient Town, Fengyu Covered Bridge and Puhua Underwater River.
Since the late Qing Dynasty, Zhuoshui Ancient Town has become the only way to pass through post roads, commercial roads, and salt roads in southeastern Sichuan. Around the 24th year of the Republic of China, merchants gathered here and shops were lined up in rows. It was the peak period of its prosperity. Its popularity exceeded that of Qianjiang County at that time. Together with Youyang Longtan and Gongtan, it was known as the "Three Famous Towns of Youyang" (Zhuoshui It was placed under the jurisdiction of Qianjiang in 1952).
After 1956, due to various reasons, the trade in the ancient town gradually shrank, and the bustling trade town for more than 100 years gradually returned to silent peace. The dignitaries, merchants and people of the past have also been forgotten as time goes by. Only the ancient stone road still lies there quietly, witnessing the prosperity of the past. The Apeng River flowing through Zhuoshui Ancient Town has since ancient times become an important channel connecting the Three Gorges area and the Jianghan Plain together with the Wujiang River and Youshui River. Zhuoshui Ancient Town has witnessed the advancement and decline of the Ba people and the vigor of the Qin people. It has many historical sites and related historical allusions. The street and alley pattern is intact and has a unique southeast Chongqing ancient town pattern.
On one side of the square outside the entrance of the ancient town are three antique towers built in the style of the ancient town, which are the Procuratorate, Public Security and Court of Zhuoshui, giving tourists an inexplicable sense of security. We first went to the Apeng River from the Naval City Gate next to the ancient town to enjoy the riverside scenery of the ancient town. Zhuoshui Ancient Town is a rare Tujia water town in Wuling Mountain. As a typical example of old streets in Chongqing's old city, the streets here are mostly paved along the river, and residents live along the river. Rows of Tujia stilted buildings are built on the stone river embankments. It is lined with winding trees and winding lines, creating a beautiful scenery of a water town.
The stone archway standing at the entrance of the ancient town should be an antique building built later. Although it lacks the baptism of wind and rain and the vicissitudes of time, it also adds a bit of majesty and style to the ancient town.
The sky is overcast, and the air is thick with water vapor. Wandering on the stone road of the ancient town, the first thing you encounter is an ancient stage dating back more than 300 years. The lifelike figure carvings on the eaves are rare nowadays. Using a theater building as the cover of the ancient town is a common pattern in most ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. "Two waters moisten the new garden, and the light waves around the shore are good for washing your feet; seven strings linger in the ancient town, and a good show can clear your heart." A couplet engraved on the two sides of the stage outlines the spirit and energy of the ancient stage, and the streets and alleys of the ancient town The aroma of books and ink adds to the cultural foundation of the ancient town. The deep ancient alleys are connected to the ancient streets at one end, and zigzag through the Hui-style building complex with horse head walls and small green tiles at the other end, giving the entire ancient town twists and turns, as if there is music. rhythm. "The small building listens to the spring rain all night, and the deep alleys sell apricot flowers in the Ming Dynasty." The long and beautiful poetry is deduced from the carved beams and painted windows of the old wooden buildings on both sides.
The tour guide introduced that the "Zhan's Huimo" who came here by water to do business in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties ushered in the era of Huizhou merchants. Later, business houses, residences, guild halls, and private schools were all integrated with the Huizhou architectural style, and gradually merged with the Huizhou architectural style. The Tujia stilted buildings form a unique architectural landscape with softness in the middle and hardness in the softness. Walking through the "Three Corners" of Zhuoshui Old Street, you will see the famous Gong Family Pavilion when you look up. This is the former residence of the Chinese physicist Mr. Gong Peiguang. The "Baoting" is the most distinctive feature of the Tujia Diaojiao House. The Gongjia Baoting is very cleverly designed. Although it is built near the Apeng River, when viewed from the street side, the front of the building faces the street, while the building stands on the riverside. , the front of the building faces the river. In front of and to the right of Gongjiabao Hall is Wantian Palace, a landmark building in the ancient town. However, it is not open due to maintenance.
Continuing forward, not far away is the core area of ????the ancient town - the Fan Family Courtyard. This is also called the Zhuoheba Lecture Hall. It should have been the economic and cultural center of the ancient town at that time. Outside the foyer of the Fan Family Courtyard stands a stone tablet inscribed with the words "Heavenly Righteousness and Conscience". This stone tablet is engraved with Zhuoshui Ancient Town's business philosophy of honesty. The ancient town of Zhuoshui, "the law of heaven and conscience"; the underground river of Puhua, "the sky has eyes". These two landscapes with cultural connotations that combine humanities and nature have become the cultural core values ??of the Zhuoshui Scenic Area.
While traveling in Zhuoshui Ancient Town, I can’t help but compare it with Gongtan Ancient Town and other ancient towns. Zhuoshui Ancient Town and Gongtan Ancient Town are both located in the Baguo area where commerce was developed in ancient times. The architectural style of the ancient town is broad and grand, and the layout is grand. Compared with some graceful ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, it further demonstrates the lofty vision and extraordinary style of businessmen from Chongqing. .
When visiting an ancient town, it is natural to taste its delicacies. We tasted beef mung bean noodles and ma wallows in a slightly lively shop. Mung bean noodles are similar to Chongqing noodles, and ma wallows are clearly Beijing's donkey wallows with a different name. After tasting the snacks, the trip to the ancient town came to an end. We went to visit the wind and rain covered bridge in the ancient town, which is known as "the best in the world".
The Wind and Rain Covered Bridge in Zhuoshui Ancient Town is a pedestrian traffic road connecting the ancient town and the new town, spanning the Apeng River and Puhua River. As for the specific construction year of the Zhuoshui Covered Bridge, it is impossible to find out whether it existed in ancient times. According to common opinions on the Internet, it was completed and opened to the public in October 2010. It is 303 meters long and is the longest covered bridge in Asia. However, in the early morning of November 27, 2013, the Wind and Rain Covered Bridge encountered a fire, which burned the wooden buildings on the bridge, but the bridge piers and the reinforced concrete buildings on the deck were not damaged. The local government began reconstruction in 2015 and reopened in 2017. The reconstructed covered bridge is 658 meters long and 5 meters wide. At the end of August of the same year, the Zhuoshui Covered Bridge won the title of "The World's No. 1 Weather Covered Bridge". It is understood that the longest covered bridge in my country is actually in Juxian County, Shandong Province. The length of the covered bridge there is 750 meters. However, the entire covered bridge is made of concrete. Compared with the Zhuoshui covered bridge, which is made entirely of wood, the length of the covered bridge is 750 meters. In terms of architectural craftsmanship or architectural style, or in terms of the artistry and ornamental quality of the bridge, they are not the same.
The Wind and Rain Corridor Bridge is divided into four sections, from left to right are "Huaiyuan of the Zhuohe River", "Changyun of the Tang Dynasty", "Rainbow Fubo" and "Puhua Feilong".
From the ancient town, enter the first section of the Fengyu Covered Bridge - Huaiyuan on the Zhuohe River. This covered bridge was called "Canglang Bridge" in ancient times and is probably the longest covered bridge in history. The bridge is 310 meters long. There are tiered towers and pavilions on the bridge, with the highest point being the central attic. The entire bridge body uses techniques such as double eaves, resting roofs, Tujia point platforms, raised cornices and multi-layer folding to create a unified and unified structure. There are changes in the shape of the bridge body; the shape is simple and elegant. The second section of the covered bridge is called Tang Zhong Changyun. It is 105 meters long. The central bell tower is four stories high and 26 meters high. This section is composed of corridors and bell towers. The center has a tall double-eaves hilltop bell tower, but the Tang Bell is currently under repair. , and is not hung on the bell tower. The Rainbow Fubo Bridge is 97 meters long. This section spans the Puhua River. It is a bridge body that combines a single arch bridge body with a straight bridge deck. The lines are soft and graceful, just like a brilliant rainbow. Rainbow Fubo connects Puhua Feilong, which is the last section of the covered bridge. The Puhua Feilong is 146 meters long. It combines a curved roof with modern grille piers. The facade is based on the overall shape of a dragon, which is a metaphor for the flying dragon that is in harmony with the water and soars across the river.
Walking up and down the undulating covered bridge, admiring the couplets engraved on the pillars on both sides, you can feel the profound cultural atmosphere of the Han and Tujia people. Wetland parks are built on both sides of the Tangzhong Changyun and Rainbow Fubo covered bridges, which are also the best places to take complete photos of the majestic beauty of the covered bridges. After taking photos from various angles here, we continued back to the cattails. The shape of this covered bridge is the most avant-garde and fashionable. The bridge body uses a large number of square timbers and is built together with thick bolts. Although it is a traditional wooden structure covered bridge, this shape and craftsmanship give it a modern industrial style. Feel.
Only a few dozen meters away from the end of the covered bridge, the viaduct of the Bao-Mao Expressway passes through the town and across the river. The bridge stands majestically. The piers are estimated to be nearly a hundred meters high. For the sake of appearance, the piers are They are all painted with green patterns to complement the surrounding environment. The meandering black coffee-colored wooden covered bridge meets the towering and tall concrete highway bridge, which brings a very strong sense of contrast to people. Tradition and modernity, leisure and high-speed, Eastern architectural aesthetics and Western architectural styles both merge and collide here. No matter what, they fully demonstrate the development and far-reaching cultural inheritance of Chinese traditional craftsmanship and modern industry.
It was already 3:30 in the afternoon when we finished our tour of the Wind and Rain Covered Bridge. According to the weather forecast, it will rain here tomorrow. In this case, the water level of the Puhua Anhe River will not drop, and in that case, boating will not be possible tomorrow. In this case, why not go today.
The Puhua Underground River Scenic Area consists of three parts: a karst cave, an underground river and an above-ground river. The underground river and above-ground river parts need to be visited by boat. If you cannot take a boat, you can only visit the karst cave scenic area. Therefore, the scenic spot is now Only half ticket is 50 yuan. We are already familiar with cave attractions, but now that we have arrived at the scenic spot, we have to browse it anyway. The name of the 5A scenic spot is definitely not false. Although it is not possible to fully visit now, tourists in the scenic spot are still lined up in a long line. Take a sightseeing bus from the scenic area to the back mountain service station three kilometers away and enter the Puhua Underwater Scenic Area. The entrance is at the top of the canyon. The Puhua River is at the bottom of the valley hundreds of meters deep. The canyon walls stand thousands of feet tall and the valley is deep and secluded. From above, you can hear the sound of roaring water in the valley below, and you can vaguely see patches of green. of river water. Follow the winding wooden plank road down to the bottom of the valley, walk about a few hundred meters, and arrive at the cave named Chixue in the scenic area. According to the introduction of the scenic spot I saw earlier and my own imagination, this place is similar to the Lianzhou Underground River in Qingyuan, Guangdong. The caves and underground rivers are roughly the same. The only difference is that you can take a boat from the underground river to the above-ground Minghe River, and you can See the iconic attraction of the scenic spot - Tiansheng Sanqiao. Without these, we can only enjoy the caves, but compared with the Lianzhou Underground River, the caves here are far different and have almost no appreciation value. Attractions such as Flowstone Dam, Spiritual Light, and Thousand Layer Rice Terraces are not much different from other caves. The only thing that seems to have ornamental value is the cave beads here. Cave pearls, also known as cave pearls, are calcium carbonate spherical sediments with a concentric structure formed in cave dripping pits. It was probably the first time we saw cave beads in the cave, which made us feel that it was worthwhile to come to the scenic spot. The area inside the cave is not large and there are not many landscapes. It will be over in about half an hour. Not seeing the pleasant scenery became another regret in Zhuoshui Scenic Area. Regrets are indeed common, and perfection is rare!
After finishing the tour of Zhuoshui Scenic Area, we drove back to Qianjiang County to stay overnight, and tasted the famous local food - Qianjiang chicken offal in the evening.
DAY3? Leisure tour in Qianjiang
March 21, 2021, the third day of the spring visit to Qianyu.
After viewing the cherry blossoms in Pingba and visiting the ancient town in Zhuoshui, the main destination of this trip has been checked in, and the remaining time is spent wandering around like a wild crane. Now that you have arrived in Qianjiang County, you must visit the Urban Grand Canyon in the city.
At 9:00 in the morning, after breakfast, we headed to the Grand Canyon Scenic Area 7 kilometers away. Qianjiang City Grand Canyon is also known as Balahu Scenic Area. Balahu means "Grand Canyon" in Tujia language. Qianjiang is known as the first canyon city in Asia. It is a city tourism brand named after the Tujia language in Chinese civilized terms. Because "Balahu" is easy to use, it is a hot topic in itself, expresses cuteness and mystery in colloquial language, and the literal translation of the language can be used internationally, so it has become a keyword in the Qianjiang tourism theme slogan "Mysterious Barahu, Charming Apengjiang".
Entering the Grand Canyon Scenic Area and walking on the 808-meter-long aerial plank road, the mysterious "Balahu" suddenly appears in your sight. The canyon walls stand thousands of feet tall, and the cliffs are cut with knives and axes; the peaks on both sides rise and fall, and the water at the bottom of the valley roars; the plank roads wind and circle, and the gorge river meanders down; it is like a heaven-made arrangement, like a miraculous workmanship. The Grand Canyon is like a green silk ribbon, connecting the old city and the new city of Qianjiang. It draws a realistic version of the ink painting scroll of "the city is the scene and the scene is the city", and also achieves the "city on the canyon, in the center of the canyon city" "The world's rare and Asia's only unique urban landscape. The Grand Canyon is 80-100 meters wide, with an average depth of 200 meters and a maximum drop of 500 meters. Most of the cliffs are at right angles to the ground. Along the winding and rising plank road, after a few hundred meters of journey, you will arrive at the Cihang Bridge, which is flying in the sky. From the bridge, you can overlook the whole canyon with towering cliffs and rushing rivers, and you can also look back at Aoran. Towering, jagged cliffs along the river. Here, you can also overlook the cliff-carved stone statue of Guanyin carved on a magnificent cliff at the end of the scenic area. The pattern on the base of the Guanyin cliff carving has been covered with moss, so it is inferred that it should be a relic from ancient times. The Guanyin Temple in the scenic area should be built based on this. It has white walls, red doors and black tiles, and is built at random on the mountain. It becomes a beautiful scenery in the deep and green valley. Opposite the cliff stone carvings, the scenic spot has also built a circular Foyin Ping. Standing in the center of the Foyin Ping, when the sound is emitted, it echoes and sounds like a loud bell.
When returning, walk the scenic trail, passing by the Life Release Pond, the Karst Stone Forest, and then follow the winding stone steps past Yixiao Pavilion. This is the commanding height of the Grand Canyon Scenic Area, where you can have a panoramic view of the scenic area.
At 12:00 noon, in the drizzle, we ended our tour of the Grand Canyon and drove back to Chongqing. In the evening, we went shopping in the delicious street of Guanyinqiao and tasted Chongqing local dishes outside Wudu City.
On March 21, we went to eat Chongqing’s famous noodles. Sichuan Airlines flight 3U8793 returned to Yinchuan in the afternoon.
