What pitfalls should you avoid when traveling to Zhangjiajie?
I have stepped into the trap. A tour guide named Xiaomi signed a contract with some kind of Border City International Travel Agency.
The so-called guides you can search on Baidu, the ones that give the local tour guide’s phone number and WeChat, are just so-called online tour guides. These people (we call them pimps) will warmly coax you first, make various promises, help you arrange your itinerary in advance to avoid queuing, book hotels for you, etc.
Okay, wait for you to arrive. Okay, one of the guys who picked up the car (we agreed that the four of us could travel independently and be picked up and dropped off by a business car for the entire journey, actually shared a car for us) arrived at the hotel and saw you. No online tour guide. Pimp 2 comes up and starts to tell you clearly about signing the contract; then you think it's over, but then Pimp 3 comes up again, draws you some scenic spots and itinerary, and then tells you to be comfortable and stop queuing. Choosing route 2, the whole journey is 650/person. I was confused when I saw it. Didn’t I agree that the means of transportation in the scenic spot can be freely chosen?
The stalemate lasted for 2-3 hours (we went to eat in the middle), and then we were told to remove an attraction. The cost reached 500/person. Since we were not familiar with the place, we had to accept it.
For the next 3 days, the business cars seemed to come and go (because they were all sent to one entrance and picked up from another exit). The tour guide was a big sister for 1-2 days, and on the 3rd day, Is a big brother.
After walking the whole journey, to be honest, I have time, so I can write a travelogue. Alas, to be honest, don’t believe the local tour guides who share it, it’s nothing more than a profit. However, the above-mentioned Border Town International and Xiaomi Tour Guide really made me disappointed with Zhangjiajie’s tourism (including most of the domestic attractions). Seriously, you only go there once, why don’t you save it for the New Year?
To sum up, if you want to have a comfortable time, play freely, live well, and eat well, you are too lazy to worry about finding these, so online tour guides have too many tricks. . .
According to our experience, you can stay in a 3-star Super 8 hotel for over 200 yuan; then there is Zhang*jia*jie*Forest* Park. In fact, a large ticket is 280 yuan. (Our fee of 1,380/person is included). You don’t need any transportation tools. There are environmentally friendly buses connecting all the scenic spots in the scenic area, so you don’t need to pay for it at your own expense. There's no need for something like the Bailong Ladder. It’s 326 meters inside, at least 150 meters is inside the mountain, so you can’t see much. Then for Tujiazhai (Intangible Heritage) and National Geopark, the ticket for the former may be 30 yuan? There is shopping inside, and of course it is good to listen to the explanation. There should be no tickets for the National Geological Park (our pimp 3 deceived us and said that the ticket is 180). In fact, these two people can go there without seeing people. After all, you come to see the natural scenery. There are also Tusi Palace, Just Soso, and the internet celebrity check-in place on the 72nd floor, all of which are optional.
The same is true for Tianmen Mountain. Just have a big ticket that includes the ropeway. There are paths connected for you throughout the entire journey. We took Line A directly from the city to the top of the mountain, then went around the mountain to see the scenery, then took the scenic bus from Line B back to Line A;
Then it was time to eat. The food on Zhangjiajie Mountain was really bad and hard to swallow. In urban areas, don’t trust the super cheap tours. If you want to eat delicious and authentic food, you have to spend more money.
When it comes to accommodation, don’t trust the tour guide, find a better place to live comfortably.
