Which country is Lithuania? Lithuanian tourist guide

When I first heard about this country, Bian Xiao thought it was that place in China. Later, it was discovered that it was a country and it was still in Europe, but the name of this place was really translated from China.

Transportation (Riga-Vilnius)

The same ticket was bought by ecolines in advance, 5 euros, but this time it was not as lucky as Tallinn's last trip to Riga and he met ecolines' new car. This time, I met ecolines' double-decker car. All the water and coffee in the car need to be charged, as well as paid lunch. Prices are all around 1 Euro to 3 Euro.

Station location in Riga: Autoosta, Pragas lela 1. It takes less than ten minutes to get to the bus by underground passage from the guest house.

language

Lithuanian is the official language, but the popularity of English is acceptable. Basic train tickets, bus tickets, supermarkets, restaurants and other staff can speak English.

stay

The recommended hotel is the Central Hotel. As the railway station and bus station in Vilnius (two stations stand in one place) are more than one kilometer away from the Dawn Gate at the entrance of the ancient city, this hotel is located at the Dawn Gate. You can wake up from the church bell every morning, and the distance to the railway station and the station is almost the same as the distance to the ancient city and the other side of the country. It belongs to a good position, and it can go up and down.

I live in a guest house, which is on the other side of the country. It takes more than half an hour and two kilometers to walk to the railway station and bus station every day, especially at noon on the first day, in the scorching sun, carrying a 70-liter bag. Moreover, the urban layout of Vilnius is similar to that of Vladivostok. It's all slopes, up and down for a while. Besides, I didn't have lunch, so it was a mess all the way.

prescribe a diet

The restaurants in the ancient city are all cheap Lithuanian food, and there are many Chinese restaurants. Here, I recommend the luxury lunch of Alaus Biblioteka, the number one restaurant, with a set meal of 12 euros, which is quite cost-effective.

Another recommendation is the canteen of Vilnius University. You can eat cheap, cost-effective and delicious meals here.

Of course, it is more cost-effective and comfortable to do it yourself. Because I bought a bottle of soy sauce, and because the hotel met two Hong Kong uncles who wanted to eat my cooking, I made a table.

There are two supermarkets in Lithuania, one is IKI and the other is Maxima. Personally, I think Maxim is more comprehensive and cheaper in terms of commodity categories, but IKI's milk is better and cheaper. You can go to IKI to buy milk printed with IKI brand.

Vilnius Old Town

The old town of Vilnius is full of churches. Walking into every church, you will find different interior decorations, different types of murals and different religious habits. For example, some women need to wear headscarves, while others don't, precisely because there are serious traces of religious struggle here, and Orthodox Church and Catholicism are intertwined.

In fact, it is also very interesting to find the shadow between religious struggles bit by bit.

The museum recommended the Lithuanian Grand Duke Museum instead of the Lithuanian National Museum. The Grand Duke Museum displays a large number of cultural relics of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, but the National Museum is boring. Dagong Museum is located next to Lithuanian Cathedral, but it is closed on Mondays and at 6 o'clock every night. Tickets 1.50 euros. You can try to make your own coin with two coins of one euro and five cents.

Another recommendation is Vilnius University, but it is not recommended to climb St. John's Cathedral in it. First, there is still a charge. Secondly, there are Gedi Minasta and three cross sculptures. In the ancient city, you can climb directly to overlook the whole ancient city.

Another recommendation is Gediminas Tower. However, climbing the tower costs 5 euros, which is not recommended. You can directly overlook the panoramic view of the ancient city under the tower, and then sit on the wall to bask in the sun, which is very comfortable.

Another recommendation is the night view of Vilnius Cathedral. However, since it is dark at 9 o'clock in Vilnius, I can't catch it either, but they all say it's beautiful. If it gets dark early in winter, you can come and see it.

5. Opposite the Republic of China

On the other side of the Republic is a tiny country, which is located in the old town of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania and has been declared as a World Heritage by UNESCO. Lithuanian "U upis" means "the other side of the river" and refers to the area surrounded by Vilner Island. The region was declared an independent republic.

But the other side of the Republic of China has not been recognized by any country for the time being. It is not so much an independent country as an art field. There are art galleries, artists' workshops and many cafes in the area. The bohemian atmosphere is comparable to Montmartre, and the mayor of Vilnius, artras Zuokas, often attends events held in China.

trachea

Trache is a small town with a long history, located 28 kilometers west of Vilnius. Trakai Castle in Trache is the biggest attraction.

transport

There are trains and buses at any time every day. The bus is about 2 euros, and the train 1.7 euros.

Generally speaking, buses are relatively more expensive than trains. The train is similar to the bullet train in China, with high speed, new facilities and relatively high price in Latvia.

Vilnius Railway Station is located opposite to Vilnius SOD G.22 bus station.

It only takes 40 minutes from Vilnius to Trache. It is worth mentioning that the interior of Trakai Castle is not recommended. First, the ticket is 7 euros (3.5 euros for students), which is really just a small museum with several rooms. However, the surrounding scenery is quite good, and it is highly recommended to look around.

Kaunas

Kaunas is the second largest city and the old capital of Lithuania. It is located at the intersection of Nieman River and Neris River, the two largest rivers in Lithuania, and adjacent to Kaunas Reservoir, the largest water body in Lithuania.

transport

The same train in Lithuania, 1 hour 10 minute, 4-6 Euro, is slightly different depending on whether it is a through train or more intermediate stops.

Of course, you can also go back and forth by bus. The bus stop is just around the corner of the railway station.

Recommendation point

1. First, kaunas Freedom Avenue is recommended. This is a boulevard like Europe, and at the end of the road is a church with a very long history.

2. Next is the Church of the Resurrection of Christ. A very tall and unique modern church. Admission to the church is free, but you need to pay to take the elevator to the highest point of the bell tower and overlook the whole city. Of course, this is not recommended.

3. Another recommendation is Kaunas Castle Museum. One of the oldest castles in Lithuania is currently open as a museum.

In fact, the best recommendation is to stroll through kaunas City and feel the scenery and architecture of this ancient capital.

Siliai

Siauliai is the fourth largest city in Lithuania and an important city in the north. Cross Mountain is located here, and I am here because of its vastness.

traffic

It takes two hours and thirty minutes by train from Lithuania to siauliai. I won't say much about this.

After arriving in downtown siauliai, you need to go over mountains and mountains by car. From 5: 00 in the morning (starting from Sunday 10: 00) to evening 1 1: 00, there are buses going over mountains and mountains and taking them at bus stops.

Address of iauliai Bus Station: Iauliai Tils g. 109

It takes half an hour to get there, but you can get to Cross Mountain in 20 minutes after you get off the bus. So I took a bus at 8: 25 in the morning and arrived in Domantai in 20 minutes. Then I got off and walked for another 20 minutes. The return bus stop is where I get off, next to the roadside bus sign.

Cross can be bought in the tourist information center, ranging from one euro to dozens of euros. You can write your own name, wishes, etc. You can also put your cross in prayer.
