The escaped prisoner got lost.
Broken expectations
Li Rong and Bao received a phone call from the second supervisor on the evening of June 6th 17, only to know that their son escaped from prison that afternoon, and the three of them escaped together. The couple were shocked and didn't know what to do on the phone. They can only repeat, "How is that possible? ! "Their son never mentioned these three names, but just over 20 days ago, on the afternoon of September 25th, Bao went to visit the prison. What she remembers is, "The day my son met was normal."
Bao told this magazine that his visit to the prison on September 25th was the same as before. After entering the prison gate, he walked more than ten meters, then went through two doors, went to the interview room, showed his papers, finished registration, went through two doors and met his son. In a big room, transparent glass windows separate free people from non-free people. You have to pick up the microphone to hear the other person's voice.
Bao Xiao Tian said that she saw Li Hongbin's smile. "Every time his family visits him, he is very happy." . That day, in turn, encouraged Bao. "He said he did well in it and earned more work. By the end of the year, he is a model worker and can reduce his sentence. " . Bao felt that his son was "more and more sensible" in prison. "I can persuade him is those words, a good reform. He speaks better than us and often gives me advice in turn. " "He told me, let's stop running around and spending money on his business. He will try his best to reduce his sentence. He also said that it is not easy to earn that money at home, and it is far from Hohhot. It is enough to visit him once a year. "
In the third prison serving sentences in Li Hongbin, the visiting date is 10 or 1 1, 24 or 25 every month, and the visiting time is at most half an hour. If it is Saturday and Sunday, it will be ten minutes. Since he was imprisoned in 2007, Bao insisted on visiting Baotou once a month, "just to let his son know that his family has not given up on him and let him come out early with peace of mind."
Bao said that on the day of visiting the prison, she would go out early in the morning, spend 30 yuan to take a long-distance bus from Baotou to Hohhot, get off at the nearby railway station, take bus 1 yuan to the south prison room, and then spend 1 yuan to transfer to bus 42 to Erdaohe prison station, and walk along a fork road for ten minutes. On the way through the prison family area, there are various small restaurants, grocery stores and barber shops on both sides. Dozens of gray-white cars are usually parked on the open space at the intersection more than 50 meters away from the prison gate. These bags are never willing to spend. She brought her own dry food. After the visit, she returned to the railway station according to the original route, waiting for the passing train to return to Baotou. Trains are cheaper than cars 10 yuan. In order to save the money, Bao often comes home at one or two in the middle of the night. But every time she comes, she will make up the living expenses for her son's prison card, ranging from 200 yuan to 300 yuan. She will also buy him some extra food at the prison store. The choices inside are limited, "instant noodles and biscuits" are more expensive than outside. "The most common instant noodles are 50 to a box in 60 yuan."
At the beginning of 2009, Bao and Li Rong moved to Ordos City in the south of Baotou to make a living, which is further away from Hohhot. It takes at least three and a half hours to take the expressway by bus, and the fare is at least one way to 60 yuan. Moreover, tourists can't go back and forth on the same day. Even if Bao is only willing to stay in a small hotel near the railway station for 20 yuan a night, the travel cost will double. Bao said that she had to change the visiting law, go there every two months and send her living expenses in 600 yuan every time.
On September 25th, in addition to 600 yuan's money, Bao also sent his son winter clothes. About a month ago, Li Hongbin called home from prison, "saying that cotton trousers were too thin last winter, and he wanted a pair of sports shoes to wear in the morning exercise". It's cold in Hohhot this year, and the heating season in the middle of 10 has not yet arrived, and the chill has already hit. Bao bought a pair of black cotton trousers over 60 yuan, a pair of 20 yuan black cotton shoes and a pair of sports shoes, as well as some new socks and a cotton vest. Because the National Day is coming, she also bought her son more than 200 yuan of instant noodles and biscuits. On that day, the prison organized prisoners to engage in activities, and the visiting hours were temporarily adjusted, all in the afternoon, only ten minutes. Although the time is short, what her son said made her feel that "this year's heart has been put down." It's just that this newly released heart was completely broken in less than a month.
Change trajectory
Li Hongbin's escape from prison, like his imprisonment, caught his relatives off guard. His off-track change seems to have gone far from the sight of his family. Even if the unmanageable mess is in front of us, the family still can't find any clues. That was the case then, and it is still the case today.
Li Rong and Bao are conscientious farmers. In 2003, they discussed it for a long time and made some decisions before leaving their rural hometown with their two sons to make a living in Hohhot. Their hometown is Zi Ying Village, a democratic town in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, which is more than 50 kilometers away from Hohhot 1000 and Tongliao City. It can be regarded as the largest village in the democratic town, with more than 500 families. Li is an ordinary big family in the countryside. He ranks fifth among eight brothers and sisters. Although all eight of them were born in Yao Yingzi, their ancestral home continued their father's ancestral home, and this memory continued to their children's generation, so Li Hongbin and his younger brother became "Fuxin people in Liaoning".
Li Rong's sister-in-law Huang Guifen told this magazine that while her family was busy building a new house, Li Rong left the kiln camp and went to Hohhot. "I went to a relative's house, as if it were his aunt's daughter-in-law's sister. This relative is engaged in construction work in Hohhot and is a contractor. Li Rong said that he would go to the construction site to work. " Relatives in their hometown were also a little surprised by Li Rong's decision. The villagers here are doing their duty, and their ancestors are guarding the land on the edge of the village without much thought. However, Huang Guifen still feels understandable. "They have almost no family or land." The per capita registered land area of Zi Ying Village Kiln exceeds 4 mu. Although all kinds of miscellaneous land add up, the total cultivated land area of each family is much higher than this figure, but relying solely on agriculture, the income of each family is still limited, especially when various agricultural taxes and fees were still there in 2003.
Li Hongbin, born in 1988, was only 15 years old when he left Zi Ying village. The impression he left on his family was no different from that of other children in the village. He is "honest, conscientious and diligent". Li Rong's generation has a deeper memory of Li Hongbin. "He went to the fields to help his mother when he was very young", "He looks more solid and sophisticated than other children of his age" and "He is a good hand at farm work". When recalling these things, they were busy harvesting corn in the field, peeling off the corn cobs harvested in the field one by one and stacking them at home to avoid freezing. The autumn sun here is very short, and the temperature difference between morning and evening is very large. I can't go to the fields until lunch at noon, and it will be dark before 16: 30 in the afternoon. The villagers have developed some skilled skills. In this short time, people can peel off 1000 Jin of corncob.
Li Hongbin, who dropped out of the fifth grade of primary school, lived like this before entering the city, plowing in spring and harvesting in autumn. In this season, it is busy harvesting corn. His two good friends in the village are three or four years older than him. One is his cousin Zhang Yongcheng, and the other is his cousin's neighbor Xie Honggang. Now that they are both married, Zhang Yongcheng will soon be a father. We found Zhang Yongcheng in the field, and he was also busy harvesting corn. He is a bit clumsy in the face of strangers' questions. His mother, Li Fengzhen, is also the fourth aunt of Li Hongbin. She thinks, "Hong Bin's personality is much more cheerful than my son's, and he can talk." Although he was a good friend in those days, Zhang Yongcheng's memory of Li Hongbin really can't be sorted out, especially after Li Hongbin left. "I can't get in touch with him once or twice a year. His phone number has been changing, that is, I talked on the phone before the Chinese New Year. He said that working outside is very tiring and bitter. "
Bao once thought about the difficulty of going out to work, but she and Li Rong still wanted to have a rest. More importantly, Li Rong can be a carpenter. "How can I find food on the construction site?" When I first arrived in Hohhot, things went smoothly. The family settled down on the construction site, packed it on the construction site to cook, and went to 400 yuan a month. Li Rong and Li Hongbin work together, and the salary is calculated according to the actual working hours. 20 yuan a day, plus 5 yuan for meals. Only when they arrived at the construction site did they realize that "there is money when they start work". Bao said: "At the end of 10/at the beginning of10, the ground froze and the construction site stopped. You have to find another job." In my hometown, I am the best helper for all-in-one farm work. After entering the city, Bao felt that "my son is much more sensible." "In such a hot summer, I bought him 10 yuan ice cream, and he couldn't bear to spend it, so I turned it out of him."
Li Rong and Bao worked on the construction site in Hohhot for three years, during which they only went back to their hometown once in the winter of 2003. "The toll is too expensive." The project of relatives' bags is finished, so they have to find another way. Li Rong heard from a friend that selling cooked food at Baotou construction site can make money, so in the winter of 2005, he decided to take his family to Baotou to make a living. Li Hongbin didn't go with his parents, because he spent an afternoon in June, 5438+February, 2005, and found a job as a waiter in a bath city called Lang Zhonglang in Hohhot. This is the first time for him to find a job by himself, and it is also the first time for him not to live with his parents at night, but to live in the dormitory of his unit. Li Hongbin told his parents to go first, saying that he would "come to Baotou as soon as he got his salary in February". I remember the bag very clearly, "I went to the bag on the thirteenth day of the first month last year", that is, February 2006 10. But half a month after they left, something happened to Li Hongbin. On February 26th, Li Hongbin and several colleagues committed robbery and murder in the bath city.
The temptation of the city
The murder that year opened another side of Li Hongbin's life. From June, 5438 to February, 2005,/kloc-After finding a job in Bath City, the young man under 8 got to know a group of colleagues of similar age, including Chi Zhiqiang, Wang Xin and Xu Long, who are one year older than him, and Wang Haisheng, who is eight or nine years older than them. Their experiences are similar. They all come from the countryside. They all dropped out of school before the second day of junior high school. They couldn't find a more suitable job in Hohhot, so they had to settle down in the bath city with the smallest threshold. Everyone except Li Hongbin came to work in city of bath in early 2005.
Langzhonglang Bath City is located in Beiyuan Street, adjacent to the railway. Except that the frontispiece is on the first floor, there is only one floor underground, including bathroom, lobby and private massage room. Only a dozen employees. The bath city has a high mobility. Although the owner of the investment is still the same person, in fact, the manager in charge of management and the employees in the basement have changed several times in recent years. Among the latest batch, the new manager has the longest experience. He has only been in the store for more than two months. According to his calculation, in 2005, Inspur's waiter's salary was "up to six or seven hundred yuan per month".
For these young people who bathed in the city in those days, the monthly income seems to be really unable to quench their thirst. They began to get together in twos and threes and "make money" in other ways. To put it bluntly, it is "stealing." The fear of breaking the law was quickly dispelled in a circle with the support of peers. With this support, the boundary between morality and immorality was quickly filled. According to the police interrogation records afterwards, since the summer of 2005, Chi Zhiqiang and Xu Long have robbed Qingcheng Park many times at night, but they have gained little. I robbed 4 yuan at a time and a PHS mobile phone at another time. Chi Zhiqiang knows a man who runs a hotel. His name is "Lao San". He can collect stolen and stolen mobile phones and sell them in 50 yuan for hundreds of dollars. They spent all the money from selling stolen goods.
It is not clear whether Li Hongbin had any inner struggle when he joined the team. But no matter what he thinks, he and Zhiqiang Chi smashed a car and stole it less than a month after working on Christmas Eve in 2005. That night, two people were dancing in the ballroom because they felt too hot and didn't want to get some air. They saw a car parked in a nearby alley with a bag in the front seat. They smashed the window, took the bag and took a taxi back to the dormitory in Bathing City. They searched it and found that there was only one business card in the bag. They had no money and were unwilling. They took a taxi back to the scene and pried open the stereo and electronic screen on the car. Later, the stereo was sold to the regular customers in Bathing City at the price of 400 yuan.
The day after the theft was successful, that is, on Christmas Eve, Li Hongbin and Xu Long and another colleague went to a secluded alley to rob after work, and it was unclear who was the mastermind. If Li Hongbin didn't lie in his confession, it was his first robbery. They chose a single woman to do it, and the other party shouted so hard that they finally scared them away. Li Hongbin said in his confession that the second robbery didn't go well. It was the night of February 2006 1 1. After he and Chi Zhiqiang woke up in the dormitory, Chi Zhiqiang said that he had no money at hand and wanted to get some money. The two also hit it off. The location was chosen in Chi Zhiqiang, an east-west alley at the south gate of Haidong Road Finance College. This time, they chose a gentle young man with glasses. Unexpectedly, the young man resisted fiercely and bit Chi Zhiqiang's hand. Li Hongbin took out his knife and stabbed the young man. Just as they were about to succeed, a middle-aged woman walking the dog came over, shouted at them to stop, and took out her mobile phone to call the police. While cursing, the two men ran back to the bath city, washed away the blood on their hands and went back to the dormitory to sleep. Bao and Li Rong only know that their son got 600 yuan's salary in the first month, and nothing else is clear. After the son lived in the dormitory, these dark night sins were completely deceived by his family. Derailment life
Looking back on all this seems to be the foreshadowing of the murder case on February 26, 2006. Li Hongbin's courage and ferocity have been fully "experienced" in the previous attempted robbery. At about 23 o'clock on February 26th, Li Hongbin and his colleagues Wang Xin and Wang Haisheng got off work together. This time, Li Hongbin offered to "get some money", and the other two immediately agreed. The location was chosen in Li Hongbin, the alley where he and Chi Zhiqiang tried to rob half a month ago. Li Hongbin and Wang Haisheng each took a knife before they left.
They are waiting in the alley for Wei Min and Zhou Ying (both pseudonyms), who have just returned from a bath in Volvo Bath. They are colleagues of the Railway Bureau, and Zhou Ying's husband is a station policeman, who was on duty at the unit that night. They wanted to take a taxi home, but they didn't see an empty car along the way. After passing this alley outside the School of Finance and Economics, Wei Min noticed these young people squatting in the alley, thinking that they were students of the School of Finance, and didn't think much. Just a few meters after they passed the corner, Li Hongbin rushed up and stabbed Wei Min twice in the back. Wei Min turned to resist, and Li Hongbin stabbed her twice, then just visible grabbed Zhou Ying's wallet. Wei Min was horrified to see Zhou Ying violently resist with a bag, and Li Hongbin began to stab her with a knife. Wei Min shouted, "Give them the bag!" Wang Haisheng ran forward and began to catch up with him. Fortunately, Wei Min escaped. He took a taxi, called the police quickly and went to the hospital. Zhou Ying was stabbed by Li Hongbin for more than a dozen times, and finally died of "acute hemorrhagic shock caused by sharp instrument piercing abdominal aorta". Her bag was also taken away by Li Hongbin and Wang Xin. Wang Haisheng didn't chase far, turned around and came back. There is no money in the stolen bag, only a Samsung N628 mobile phone. Three people threw away their bags and took a taxi back to the bath city, washed their blood, put away their mobile phones and went back to the dormitory to sleep.
A few days after the murder, Li Hongbin, Xu Long, Wang Haisheng and Chi Zhiqiang were expelled from Rough Waves for theft and fighting respectively. On March 3, 2006, just after being fired, the four men also asked Wang Xin to help Xu Long "catch his breath" and taught a young man who stole Xu Long's girlfriend. On March 4th, Chi Zhiqiang stole a LG mobile phone before leaving The Waves. On the evening of March 5, four people who were fired went to the store of "Lao San" and sold Samsung mobile phones at the price of 100 yuan. Chi Zhiqiang and Wang Haisheng survived, and got two "ladies" from the "third child", and one * * * spent 50 yuan. Because they spent almost all their money, they decided to stay in Zuoqi, their hometown in Wang Haisheng, for a few days. The next day, they called Wang Xin and went back to the village together to tell Wang Fu that they had come back to help harvest corn. The old man didn't believe that "the corn in the field had already been harvested".
Wang Xin only stayed for one night and returned to work in city of bath on the morning of March 7th. He received a phone call from Li Hongbin this afternoon, asking when he could go to that village again. This call was made by Li Hongbin using the phone card of the deceased Zhou Ying. He sold his mobile phone, but put the card and the phone bill in his Nokia mobile phone. This signal has been monitored by the police. At 2 1 that night, the police found Wang Xin, and then in the early morning of March 8, all the other four people gathered in Tuzuoqi Village were arrested. Wang Haisheng's father made the most difficult choice, putting family above everything else, and led the police to arrest his son himself. His choice has also become an important factor for the judge to be lenient in sentencing Wang Haisheng.
Li Hongbin was the only person with a knife in this murder case, causing one death and one injury. He had a history of many thefts and robberies. If it weren't for his birthday on March 4th, only six days before the murder 18 years old, he would not be sentenced to life imprisonment, but to death. Li Rong and Bao don't understand the law at all. They just feel that their son is wronged. They prefer to believe that stabbing others with a knife is also involved. "My son is the youngest and not sensible. It was brought down by others. " The sudden change made them unbearable and some strange reactions appeared. When the police informed them to come to Hohhot to receive the family notice, Li Rong's first reaction after seeing the police was not to ask about his son, nor to put in a good word for him, but to say, "I bought a pager (actually a mobile phone) for my son. Do you want to give it back to me? " So that the police handling the case at that time felt that "this is like a father and son, not fair."
In fact, when the murder case was heard in court, it happened to be the most tense time for Li Rong and Bao. They have just settled in Baotou, and the sale of cooked food has not yet started. Toll and rent have spent all the money at hand. In order to come to Hohhot to hire a lawyer for their son and collect enough money, they have owed a month's rent in Baotou, but they still put in a good word with the site owner, and others made room in the warehouse to settle down temporarily. They don't want to take a bus in Hohhot. At the worst, they can't eat a meal a day. Bao Xiao Tian cried when he recalled, "There is really no way."
In the face of his son's life imprisonment, although he refused to accept it, Li Rong and Bao decided not to appeal. "I really can't get the money." But they made a friend from somewhere. After the first-instance judgment, they said, "There is a way to reduce my son's sentence." This hope is like a shot in the arm. As soon as the couple got together, they immediately went back to their hometown in Tongliao, sold the house, and collected 40,000 yuan for that friend to "fish for people". As a result, the money was spent, and nothing happened. "That man doesn't even answer the phone." Li Rong and his wife knew that they had been cheated, except that they could not contact the person who withdrew the money by phone.
Bao didn't explain these things clearly to his son, but he also made clear the hopes and hints in his words. So later Bao went to visit the prison again and advised his mother, "Don't waste money.". After the misfortune, Li Rong and Bao are ashamed to go home. Although they also know that the income from farming is getting better and better now, their houses are sold, the land is subcontracted, and the survival of the village is gone. It was not until the beginning of 2009, under the strong persuasion of brothers and sisters, that they took their youngest son back for a year. Relatives feel that Bao's mood looks much better, and they also take the initiative to talk about it. "He said that he has done a good job in it and can reduce his sentence as a model worker at the end of the year."
After this year, Li Rong and Bao also had new plans to leave Bao to make a living in Kangbashi New District of Ordos City in the south. They paid their youngest son to learn to cook. They also borrowed 20,000 yuan from the village and bought an electric car in Ordos. They are determined to expand the cooked food business on the construction site, so that when they go to Li Hongbin every month, they can give him more living expenses and let him "not live too hard" inside.
This is also the first winter after they arrived in Ordos. On September 25th, after Bao came back from a prison visit, he overturned and sprained his foot while riding an electric car to deliver takeout food, just right. The youngest son also discussed with her that he would take a rest when the construction site stops working next month. He wanted to visit his brother in Hohhot. They also discussed that they can go to other places to work in winter and earn at least 200 yuan a month in rent and family living expenses. These humble, trivial, secular fireworks and helpless consultations are the whole life of this family. Li Rong and Bao finally chose to stop their mobile phones. They feel that "it's meaningless to say anything more", and anything else is heartbreaking. They "no longer have any hope".
10 On the afternoon of June 5438+07, when Li Hongbin, together with three other prisoners, tricked the security guards and the personnel on duty into the warehouse control, tricked Lan Jianguo, the head of the sub-prison on duty, into the warehouse and killed him, and put on his police uniform and prison sportswear to escape, his promise to his mother and family became another lie. This time, he has no chance to turn back. After he got out of prison, Li Hongbin didn't cooperate with the police in charge of surprise interrogation, and even tried his best to shirk his previous crimes, making the police feel that he was "a man who would never admit his mistake". Qiao Haiqiang, who escaped from prison together, wanted to die most, but he couldn't die by cutting his throat and jumping off a building. Dong Jiaji's trial didn't go well either. When he escaped, he was shot in the elbow and showed signs of fever.
Who is the mastermind among the four fugitives? At present, the prisoner's confession seems to be different. According to the comprehensive confession of the police, infer a more reliable version. The mastermind is not Li Hongbin, but Qiao Haiqiang. Qiao Haiqiang robbed a female taxi driver and committed crimes in succession, and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He went to prison in 2004 at the age of 23. His criminal path is also out of the sight of his family. 198 1 Born in an ordinary peasant family in Longsheng Township, Linhe District, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia, he was the second child and his brother died. When I was a child, I was adopted by my father Qiao Erbai, raised by my uncle Qiao Qi, and lived in Hohhot with Qiao Qi. Qiao Qi's daughter adopted Qiao Erbai as her adopted daughter. After graduating from junior high school, Qiao Haiqiang began to "mix society". Joe Erbai's family in his hometown didn't know the news until he was in prison for two years. Because it is too far from Hohhot, Joe Erbai can only visit the prison once a year.
Qiao Haiqiang and Dong Jiaji, who were imprisoned in the same year, have always had a good relationship in prison. At first, they began to plot to escape. They analyzed that it takes at least four people to escape, so they let Gao Bo and Li Hongbin join in. This escape plan, four people conspired for more than a year. The final date of escape was also chosen by Qiao Haiqiang. 10 June 17 just happened to be the first day after the National Day overtime, and the police took a break. However, the escape route after four people escaped from prison still puzzled the police handling the case. "It's unusual that they didn't run separately." ■
