Tongan is an ancient city in southern Fujian with a long history. It has been 1,700 years since it was established as a county. It has produced numerous talents in the past dynasties and has fascinating natural and cultural landscapes. Its tourist attractions can be divided into three parts: First, Dalunshan Cultural Tourism The tourist area is located between Datong Town and Wuxian Town in Tong'an. Twelve Dragon Ponds
It is located among the rocks in Beishan, Tong'an. A clear spring flows down from a stone cliff 100 meters high, passing through many stone steps and caves of different heights, forming twelve crystal clear water pools, so it is called "Twelve Dragon Pools".
The Three Dadeng Islands
Located in Dadeng Town, Tongan, it consists of Dadeng Island, Xiaodeng Island and Jiaoyu Island. Tong'an Confucius Temple
It is located on the west bank of the Chengdong River in Tong'an District. It was built in the Five Dynasties. The existing building is the Dacheng Hall rebuilt during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.
Today's Confucius Temple has become the Tong'an District Museum, displaying historical sites and cultural relics of Tong'an since the Western Han Dynasty. On the north side of the temple, there are more than 200 stone sculptures and inscriptions collected from all over the region. They have different expressions and lifelike shapes. They are known as the "Tong'an Terracotta Warriors and Horses".
Tingxi Reservoir
Located at the foot of Tingxi Mountain in Tong'an, it was rebuilt in 1956 and currently has a storage capacity of more than 48 million cubic meters. The reservoir is located along the mountain, winding away, vast and magnificent. The surface of the lake is as clear as a mirror, and the mountains and rivers are intertwined. It is refreshing to row a boat among the green mountains and clear waters.
Brahma Temple
Brahma Temple is located under the main peak of Dalun Mountain in Tong'an. It is an ancient temple built in the Sui Dynasty (581 AD). It was originally named "Xingjiao Temple" and later renamed "Brahma Temple". "Zen Temple". Over the past thousands of years, eminent monks and famous teachers have appeared in large numbers in this temple. The temple's reputation is far-reaching and its incense is endless. The temple has experienced many ups and downs, and believers at home and abroad have raised funds for its construction and repairs. In recent years, historical sites such as the Shanmen, Merit Hall, Chanting Buddha, Bell Tower, and Thousand Buddhas Pavilion have been restored, and the temple has been restored to its original appearance. There is a Brahmin pagoda built in the Song Dynasty in the Buddhist temple. It is a three-story square, solid stone structure, and 4.68 meters high. It is a physical material for the study of ancient religion and stone carving art. Zhu Xi's inscriptions and stone inscriptions are also among them.
