What do you like most about Haikou?^_^

1. Food: I like to drink an ice coconut on the roadside at night. It costs 2 yuan. It is delicious and nourishing. There are also turtle jelly in small shops, and of course Qingbuliang, grilled oysters on the roadside... I don’t think much about Hainanese noodles, maybe I haven’t tasted the authentic ones. Of course, the four famous dishes in the restaurant are Wenchang chicken, Jiaji duck, Hele crab, and Dongshan goat. The other snacks are also delicious. As for the fruits... I’m salivating if I don’t mention them. I like wet-packed jackfruit, which is rarely sold in other places. Other things are also local in Hainan. The ones elsewhere are delicious, and the guava sprinkled with chili and salt is also good. In Shanghai supermarkets, the guava is dry, and no one has peeled it and sprinkled it with salt.

2. What to drink: Let’s drink some herbal tea on a hot day. Dad’s tea is drunk by these idle people. I envy them. Their life is so comfortable. By the way, of course I have to buy Kuding tea and bring it back, a specialty! But there are fakes out there, so be careful. Beer, what kind of Hainan beer? I forgot, so-so.

3. What to play: Haikou was popular in slow rock music back then. It was quieter than a disco and more lively than a bar, haha. It was possible to watch pole dancing occasionally. Haixiu Road is full of large shopping malls, while Jiefang West is full of small stores. Each has its own merits. In Hainan, you can often see popular women's clothing from big brands appearing in fashion magazines appearing in street shops for the first time! The price is okay and the quality isn't too bad either. There are so many fashionable clothes. I really don’t understand why people on the street dress so casually. Are they afraid of being robbed?

4. Le De: Haha, going to the beach is the happiest thing! You can swim and eat seafood. Is it called the Gold Coast or Holiday Beach? I forgot, anyway, the sea water is very clean, much better than my hometown (although I think it is still far behind Sanya). It’s not bad to cool off under the coconut trees (it doesn’t get cool much). There are all kinds of seafood. The most painful thing for me is eating the sand worm. Although it is not unpleasant to eat, the name is quite annoying. By the way, I forgot to mention the seahorse wine I just drank. This thing is said to be a tonic, and it comes in small bottles. I can still drink some, haha.

It’s been a year since I left Haikou. I don’t know if my favorite things have changed. Alas, let’s miss it!
