Meizhou Island, located 42 kilometers southeast of Putian City, Fujian Province, is the second largest island in Putian City. Blue sky, blue sea, sunshine and sandy beach constitute the romantic and charming coastal scenery of Meizhou Island, which includes more than 30 Aoke Island, Lantau Island and reefs, including more than 30 scenic spots such as the exciting sound of the tide, the blue gold beach of "Oriental Hawaii", the goose tail rock of "Little Stone Forest" and the Mazu Tempel that 200 million Mazu believers dream of. Since 1992 Meizhou Island was designated as a national tourist resort, Meizhou Island scenic spot is still under construction and improvement. Meizhou Island, Meizhou ancestral temple, is the hometown of Mazu, the famous goddess of peace at sea, and the birthplace of Mazu culture. In 2006, Meizhou Ancestral Temple was rated as a national key cultural relic protection unit, and Mazu Festival was also included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in 2006, which is the first batch of world-class intangible cultural heritage in China. Located at the southernmost tip of Meizhou Island, Goose-tailed Shenshi Garden is a natural "stone bonsai" with the name of "Little Stone Forest", echoing the world-famous Mazu Tempel Scenic Area at the northern end. The park is named for its goose tail shape and strange rocks. Blue gold beach is known as "the first beach in the world". Blue Gold Beach is located in the southwest of Meizhou Island, with blue sea in front and green fields behind. Golden beaches stretch for kilometers. Tourists first make a pilgrimage to Mazu Mountain in the north of Meizhou Island, and then drive into Lanzhou, just like entering Moon Cave in Fairy Palace.

Arrival and departure:

Take the shuttle bus or drive to Wen Jia pier first, and then take the ferry to the island;

1. Car: It takes about 2.5 hours from Xiamen to Wen Jia, about 2 hours from Fuzhou to Wen Jia, and about 50 minutes from Putian to Wen Jia Wharf; Self-driving vehicles can cross the island by crossing the street.

2. Ferry: Take a boat or speedboat from Wen Jia Pier 15 minutes or 5 minutes to Meizhou Island. Go to the island by boat, big boat ticket to 7 yuan, speedboat ticket 14 yuan.

There are buses on the island, but there are few trains; Be careful to be cheated by the driver when riding a battery car. Many tourists are taken to the wrong place and overcharged.

Best season: June-September is the best. You can fully enjoy the sunshine and the beach in summer, and you can sleep in a beach tent at night, so you don't have any fun. Although there were no special scenery in the Spring and Autumn Period, during the period of Mazu's birthday on March 23rd and Mazu's ascension to heaven on September 9th, the pilgrimage was unprecedented. Because it is a subtropical maritime climate, it won't be too cold in winter. You can visit Mazu Tempel, Goose Tail Stone Garden and other scenic spots.
