Natural Resources in Changba Town

(1) Land resources. Cultivated land area 1 1723 mu, including 5984 mu of fields and 5739 mu of soil. The main crops are rice, flue-cured tobacco, corn, rape and wheat.

(2) Forest resources. The town is rich in forest resources, covering an area of 49,832 mu. Among them, there are 26,432 mu of public welfare forests, 0/3,972 mu of commercial forests, 4,563 mu of returning farmland to forests, with a forest coverage rate of 38% and a forestry greening rate of over 40.8%. There are thousands of precious tree species in China, such as Ginkgo biloba and Taxus chinensis.

(3) Water resources. There are 4 reservoirs with a storage capacity of 900,000 cubic meters and 9 ponds with an irrigation area of 2,800 mu. (4) Tourism resources. Sinan Stone Forest, one of the three scenic spots in Sinan Wujiang Karst National Geopark, is a famous demonstration base of land and resources science popularization. Folk tourism such as drum-tying shed in Changqing and Taiping, Tujia lanterns in Longmen and Liuchangping are also ignored by tourists.
