What are some detailed tips for traveling to Huangguoshu Waterfall?
How can you miss a detailed guide when traveling to Huangguoshu Waterfall? Zhizhi will introduce my guide to you: Transportation:
To go to Huangguoshu Waterfall, you can choose Take the high-speed rail + take a taxi.
First take the high-speed rail from Guiyang North Railway Station to Anshun West Railway Station. The whole journey only takes 29 minutes and the ticket price is about 46 yuan.
After coming out of Anshun West Station, you can take a taxi to Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The taxi fare is about 60-80 yuan and the journey takes about 40 minutes.
(ps: If you depart from Guiyang after 7 a.m., you can arrive at Huangguoshu Waterfall before 9 a.m. to avoid the peak crowd period.)
You can also choose to take the scenic spot express train directly , there are direct buses to Huangguoshu Waterfall at Guiyang North Railway Station and Guiyang Old Bus Station. The bus departs between 8-9am and the whole journey takes 2-3 hours. The ticket price is about 60 yuan. But if you encounter morning rush hour, there may be some traffic jams on the road.
Based on my experience, I personally recommend choosing the high-speed rail + taxi method. The high-speed rail is fast and convenient, and the journey only takes 30 minutes, so you can avoid traffic jams on the road. And after arriving in Anshun, you can take a taxi directly to the entrance of the scenic spot. This way you can avoid crowds to the greatest extent and have a better tour experience. Tickets:
I strongly recommend buying tickets online one day in advance. There are many people at Huangguoshu Waterfall recently, and there is a long queue to buy tickets on site.
Tickets are divided into ordinary tickets and VIP express tickets: ordinary tickets are 160 yuan, and VIP tickets are 210 yuan.
VIP tickets can quickly enter the park without queuing, which is very suitable for tourists with elderly children or those who don’t want to queue.
Tickets include admission to the waterfall scenic area, and you also need to purchase additional tickets for the sightseeing bus and the round-trip escalator. It is recommended to purchase these two items. Tickets for Huangguoshu can be purchased on all major travel websites and APPs. It is recommended to choose formal channels to prevent being deceived. tips:
If you are a student, remember to bring your student ID card and ID card to enter the park for free.
Seniors over 60 years old can also enter the park for free.
Adult tickets can also enjoy a half-price discount, only 80 yuan.
If you are low on energy or if you are traveling with the elderly or children, I strongly recommend purchasing VIP express tickets, which can greatly save energy and time, and make the trip easier.
Route: Tianxing Bridge - Huangguoshu Waterfall - Doupotang Attractions:
1. Great Falls
Great Falls Tour Route: After the sightseeing bus stops at the entrance Look at the waterfall from the observation deck → Bonsai Garden → Rhinoceros Pond and look up at the waterfall → Go through the water curtain cave and look at the waterfall inside → Climb up the mountain road to the third viewing platform → Take a sightseeing bus to Doupotang Waterfall
< p>The tour route of the Great Falls is circular, with observation decks in different directions along the way, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the waterfall in 360 degrees. You will pass through Shuiliandong in the middle, where you need to prepare raincoats in advance. There will be a slight mist when standing on the observation deck, but don't worry. When you go in the morning, take the shuttle bus to the Great Falls first. There are very few people at this time, so you can enjoy it without queuing. Admire the majesty of the waterfall. Then walk all the way, you can view and surround the waterfall from different locations, and there are many photo angles. Finally, go directly through the Water Curtain Cave. This sequence is very labor-saving and very enjoyable to watch.
The water curtain cave is relatively humid, so you must protect electronic devices such as mobile phones and cameras in advance. It is best to put them in bags to avoid moisture damage. If you don’t want to climb up and down the mountain road, you can also take the escalator, but I think it is only recommended to buy a return ticket. When you go there, you can just walk downhill. It is only 30 yuan, and the two directions add up to 50 yuan, so it is more expensive one way. Cost effective. However, the queue time during the peak summer season is at least 1.5 hours. If you are in a hurry, it is recommended to watch the waterfall directly without entering the water curtain cave to avoid spending too much time in queue.
A full tour of the Great Falls area takes about 2 hours. This is the shortest distance and the least uphill and downhill among the three scenic spots. It is also an area with high quality and low price, which is very suitable for tourists to visit.
2. Doupotang Doupotang Tour Route: Huangguoshu Science Museum (6D Cinema) - Journey to the West filming location - Five Saints Come True - Monkeys watching the waterfall - Doupotang Waterfall - Gao Jiapuzi - Doupotang Waterfall - West Journey Road - Sightseeing Car
The terrain in this area is relatively flat and the scope is relatively small. The whole tour only takes more than half an hour. The most famous highlight here is the construction of the Journey to the West Road designed based on the storyline of Journey to the West, with statues of Tang Monk, Master and Disciple along the way. In addition, there are also the Nine-Nine-Eighty-One Difficulty Monument, which represents the difficulty, and the scene restoration of Gaojia Shop, which is very suitable for fans of Journey to the West to check in and take photos.
I found an excellent location for viewing the waterfall that few people know, which is at the exit of Doupotang! This place seemed to be a channel used by VIP customers in the past, but it is no longer open to the public. , but you can still stand on the observation deck at the exit and overlook the panoramic view of the waterfall. It is highly recommended to everyone!
Doupotang Waterfall is also the widest waterfall in the scenic area, and it is very spectacular. The tour route in this area is the waterfall - West Journey Road - the bus point, which is very simple and clear. The location of the observation deck is very good, you can clearly see the entire waterfall with almost no obstruction.
I took a lot of photos, all from great angles
If time permits, it is recommended to go to this area. The terrain here is flat and there are not many uphill and downhill roads. It is suitable for the elderly and children. You can see the Journey to the West themed sculptures and feel the spectacular waterfalls, which is well worth a visit.

3. Tianxing Bridge
Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area Tour Route: After entering the scenic area, walk for several steps → Tianxing Lake (Gaolaozhuang) )→Bridge on bridge on bridge→Tianxing Cave→Water Stone Forest→Silver Chain Falls;
This area is very large and it takes at least 3 hours to get down. I suggest you choose to only visit the second half of the journey, including Gaolaozhuang, Qiaoshangqiao, Tianxing Cave, Water Stone Forest and Silver Chain Falls, and then take the cable car back to the exit, which can save a lot of energy and time.
There are many narrow cave passages in the lower part of this route, which require one person to pass. If there are many people, it will be crowded and lack of oxygen. The temperature inside the cave is also relatively high, so I recommend bringing a small fan with you. If you encounter a queue for the cable car, you can consider walking back to the door, which only takes more than 10 minutes. Because the queue for the cable car may take more than half an hour, walking will be faster.
The most worthwhile attractions of Tianxing Bridge are actually concentrated in the second half of the journey, especially the section from Tianxing Cave to Silver Drop Chain Waterfall. The scenery is so beautiful that I especially recommend that you spend your time on it. here.
I remember that after we entered from the entrance of Tianxing Bridge, we walked along the plank road to the water, passing Tianxing Cave in the middle. The stalactites in the cave were very spectacular. Then we arrived at the Silver Chain Falls. This small waterfall hung upside down in front of our eyes. The water flow looked like shining silver chains. The scenery was very stunning.
After seeing the Silver Drop Chain Falls, I found that there is a return ropeway about 1 kilometer ahead, so I suggested that everyone take this one. It can take us directly to the foot of the mountain, saving at least more than 10 minutes of climbing time, which is very worthwhile. After we took the cableway down, we took a ferry at the pier at the foot of the mountain and quickly returned to the entrance of the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area. This order of play saves time and effort, and basically shows the most beautiful scenery in the second half of the Tianxing Bridge. I highly recommend everyone to plan this way.
According to my experience, the distance in this area is relatively long, and the scenery is mainly in the second half, so it is recommended that you choose to visit the classic attractions in the second half.
