Saihanba Yudaokou Road Travel Guide

Saihanba Yudaokou is an extremely rare tourist attraction, where ancient emperors hunted. The natural ecological environment is well protected, because there are few traces of human activities after hundreds of years of protection. This is a detailed guide to road trip.

Saihanba National Forest Park is located in Weichang County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, with an average elevation of 1500m and an average temperature of 20 degrees in summer. It is a summer resort near Beijing. Historically, during the Liao Dynasty, it was called the "Thousand-Li Pine Forest" and was the place where the emperor hunted. In Qing Dynasty, it was an important part of Mulan paddock in Royal Hunt Garden.

Optimal route arrangement

Day 1: 435km from Beijing to Saihanba.

The next day: Saihanba National Forest Park is 0/00 km away from Shenlongtan/KLOC-,the source of Luanhe River, Taifeng Lake, colorful observation deck, Mulan Qiuxian Cultural Park, Qixing Lake and Moon Mountain.

Day 3: Saihanba-Yudaokou-Fengning Moon Lake, 300 kilometers, wind power, birch forest, Grand Canyon, Sun Lake, Xiaoluan River and Wudaogou Scenic Area.

Day 4: Fengning-Yanshan Grand Canyon, Labagou Primitive Forest Park, 2 15km away from Beijing.

In the second year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, the virgin forest began to be destroyed, followed by predatory logging by Japanese invaders, continuous mountain fires and increasing agricultural and animal husbandry activities. By the early days of liberation, Saihanba had become a sandy wasteland with a bad environment.

From 65438 to 0962, more than 300 young people from all over the country went to Saihanba and started arduous afforestation. After more than half a century's unremitting efforts of three generations of forest farmers, the forest coverage rate has finally increased from 1 1.4% to over 80%, the wasteland has become a forest again, and Saihanba has been reborn.

Saihanba Yudaokou Voucher 130 yuan. It is recommended to buy a map, which is clearly marked. There are many scenic spots on the voyage.

The mechanical forest farm in the park is the place where hotels are concentrated. Because my family likes fishing, we chose to live in a mountain villa near Paoziying in Longshan, five kilometers away. During the Dragon Boat Festival, there were not many tourists, the hotel price was not high, and there were no private rooms for 200 yuan.

We chose a small house by the lake with a lush meadow on the water. The scenery is a bit like Qixing Lake.

Two hundred meters from the villa hotel to the cabin, we were caught in a sudden cold rain. Although we ran under the eaves of other people's houses as fast as possible to avoid the rain, we were still soaked through with cold. Saihanba has its own microclimate, and rain often comes and goes quickly. Pay attention to sun protection, rain protection and cold protection measures.

After settling down, we went to the mechanical forest farm for dinner. The food price here is on the high side, and we haven't found a particularly delicious restaurant yet. On the way back to the villa after dinner, clouds of dense fog rose on the rainy ground, completely blocking the window, and it was dark all around, completely touching the villa.

The next day, we played all day in Saihanba Forest Park. We can visit all the sights according to the map. It doesn't matter if you can't find some scenic spots. The scenery on the road is beautiful.

Our tour route is Shenlongtan-the source of Luanhe River-Taifeng Lake-Colorful Observation Deck-Mulan Qiuxian Garden-Qixing Lake-Moon Mountain. It's about 100 km after a lap, which is relatively easy.

Longtan Mountain is surrounded by clear water, and the long wooden plank road stretches into the distance. Here, you can ride horses, shoot arrows, or walk by the lake and enjoy a slow-paced life.

Tuligen River is located at the north gate of Saihanba, which is one of the sources of Luanhe River and the boundary river between Hebei and Inner Mongolia in this area. When we went, it was a wetland landscape and we couldn't see the river.

Taifeng Lake, also known as Ruyi Lake, is rich in water and there are many anglers sitting by the lake. According to records, when Emperor Qianlong came to Mulan paddock to hunt, he camped here many times.

Looking up from the colorful observation deck, ten thousand mu of forest is lush, from barren land to such a spectacular forest. You can imagine how hard the Saihanba people are.

Wooden Ball Fairy Garden is a scenic spot built to reproduce the spectacular scene of Royal Hunt in Qing Dynasty.

Emperor Kangxi set up Mulan paddock, with Mulan seeking immortality as the ancestor system, which was of great political and military significance. First, this large-scale and organized hunting activity is equivalent to a military exercise, which can train the officers and men of the Eight Banners to be brave and good at fighting and maintain the wolf's fighting capacity. Secondly, the emperor meets Mongolian princes and nobles in the paddock every year, which is helpful to consolidate and develop Mongolia-China relations and strengthen the control of Mongolian ministries.

Qixing Lake can be regarded as one of the most beautiful scenic spots in Saihanba. It is said that there used to be seven small lakes with different shapes, overlooking the world like the Big Dipper, hence the name Seven Star Lake. Now because of the large amount of water, the lakes have been connected.

At that time, dark clouds rolled on the horizon and waves appeared on the calm lake. Huang Cui's fake mousetrap is laid on the water like a carpet, gently guarding Qixing Lake. Dark clouds, lakes, aquatic plants, tourists, windmills and wooden plank roads are combined together, just like colorful Yuan Ye oil paintings.

Moon Mountain is the commanding height of Sai Han Dam. Panshan Highway is steep, full of dirt roads and gravel roads, which is not suitable for car driving. The roadside scenery is good, and the wild flowers in the dense forest are in full bloom and colorful.

Finally, we gave up the steep slope and stopped halfway up the mountain and walked up the mountain. From the top of the mountain, you can see the whole Saihan Dam. Autumn here must be more beautiful.

On the third morning, we didn't go out by car, some stayed in the cabin to fish, and some went for a walk in the forest farm near the villa.

After lunch, we set out for Yudaokou Scenic Area. Our tour route at Yudaokou is: Moon Lake-Wind Power Generation-Birch Forest-Grand Canyon-Sun Lake. Follow the route marked on the basic map.

The Moon Lake under Baihuapo is small, but it is unique and elegant against the blue sky and white clouds.

After the wind power group at the top of the mountain and the Baihualin scenic spot, we came to Yudaokou Road.

The Grand Canyon Scenic Area is on the other side of the road, with a total length of 10 km. There are lush plants here, which is the habitat of wild animals such as roe deer. The water of Xiaoluan River flows out from the bottom of the valley, and there are different landscapes on both sides of the river, namely mountain forests and hilly meadows.

The grass is covered with stellera chamaejasme. Stellera chamaejasme is a plant in the transition zone from grassland to desert. Its roots, stems and leaves are poisonous, but the sheep seem completely unaffected. They graze freely in the middle of stellera chamaejasme.

The Sun Lake scenic spot is very big, but we gave up the tour because of the heavy wind and rain. If you go on, it will be dark and bright, and you will enter the rain area from time to time.

I met a happy boy and a lovely horse by the roadside.

How can you come to the grassland without riding a horse? We found a racecourse nearby and each of us chose a horse. At first, the rancher took the horse for a stroll, and then we galloped by ourselves.

Remind friends who want to ride here to ask about all kinds of situations when talking about prices. The owner of the racecourse leads the horse, and the tourists lead the horse themselves; Go, trot, run; By time, by head, etc. Prices are all different. Ask about all kinds of charging standards before getting on the horse, so as not to increase the price halfway and affect your play mood.

There are dark clouds in the sky, and it seems that it will rain next moment. But in the end, we didn't have heavy rain. Instead, the sun shines all the way through the clouds.

From Yudaokou Scenic Area to Fengning, I chose a scenic road. The first half goes south along the charming Xiaoluan River. Half way of Wudaogou scenic spot hidden in the boudoir-this is the original site of Harang Guiwei, one of the 72 paddocks in Mulan paddock, and it is also the paddock with the best preserved natural features.

There is a winding and steep mountain road near the bottom of dam beam in the second half of Beijing-Canada line. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers all the way When the gorgeous sunset ended, we finally arrived at Fengning County.

On the fourth day, Fengning returned to Beijing. Punch in Yanshan Grand Canyon and Labagou Primitive Forest Park on the way.

Yanshan Grand Canyon is located in Tanghe Township, Fengning County, with a total length of more than 30 kilometers. The river flows through the canyon and forms a pool in the depression. There are mountains on both sides of the canyon.

Primitive forest park has a large area and consists of three viewing areas: Nanhouling, Baizhangya and Glacier. It is recommended to take the scenic bus ferry to the starting point of different viewing areas. Nanhouling viewing area is the original landscape of birch forest and maple forest. White tooth is the original oak forest landscape. In the glacier viewing area, you can enjoy a large area of alpine rhododendron in spring.

This time I went to some scenic spots in Nanhouling and Baizhangya. Baizhang cliff needs to climb a path to reach the top. The path is narrow and steep, and the cool canyon part is the most difficult to climb.

After leaving Labagou Primitive Forest Park, I ended my happy little holiday trip.

Matters needing attention

1. This trip to Saihanba was paved all the way except Moon Mountain. The road conditions are very good, and all kinds of vehicles can easily go.

2. In August 2008, expressway checkpoint was cancelled in Yudaokou Scenic Area, and there was no charge for crossing Saihanba and Yudaokou main road. After entering the scenic spot, tickets are still bought as before. (You need to buy a ticket first to cross different scenic spots in Ulan, and the ticket fee will be refunded after the time. )
