1. The B-2 U.S. tourist visa can be divided into three-month validity, one-year validity, three-year validity, five-year validity, ten-year validity and permanent validity. The number of entries is also divided into one-time and multiple-entry validity. U.S. embassies and consulates in different countries or regions, or different consuls in the same consulate, have great discretion over the validity period of the visa or the number of entries. It is easier for residents of Hong Kong to apply for a B-2 visa that is valid for 1 to 5 years and valid for multiple entries. It is easier for residents of mainland China to apply for a B-2 visa that is valid for 3 months to 1 year and is valid for one or multiple entries.
