Because the lonely mountain is surrounded by clear water, it is surrounded by clear water and snow waves when the wind blows, also known as "Shuijinshan" and "Yinghai Mountain". In history, Gushan has also used the names of Haizhong Mountain, Yongquan Mountain, Yingshan Mountain, Xiaojinshan Mountain, etc., but it should be called Gushan. There are ten natural scenes: Lankeping, Fish Paradise, Nongzhuyan, Nanwudong, Tiansheng Bridge, Turtle Peak, Sheshen Rock, Guanshengtai, Zhenyigang and Lianxin Stone. It can be called a tourist attraction and enjoys the reputation of "Yidong Scenic Spot".

The south of Gushan Island is several miles away from the scenic spot of Haimen Park, and the north faces the Lotus Peak on Biyun Temple, a star scenic spot. The north is gentle, the southwest is steep, the stone walls are sharp, and there are huge stones square and flat in the west. It is named "Lankeping", also called "Chessboard Stone". According to legend, the secluded mountain environment in those days was better than heaven, and immortals often came here to play chess for recreation. Two of them lingered and turned into stones, which were called "double stones". There is a cave in the east called "Fairy Cave". There is a boulder cliff in the south, which can be crossed from Tiansheng Bridge to the "Yingfeng Pavilion" at the south end. When the cliff is clear and the weather is beautiful, herring flock here from time to time. At the peak, it can form a "herring array" of 3, to 4, square meters, competing to swim and have fun, so it is called "the country where fish are happy". There is a bedplate above the precipice, on which you can see the wonders of "Fish-Happy Country", which is called "Fish-Watching Platform". On the sixth day of June in the lunar calendar every year, local people still hold temple fairs in Gushan. During the event, people will bring colorful "rice balls" and other foods made by themselves and throw them into the lake to attract thousands of herring to receive the sacrifices. Over time, it has formed a unique "herring spectacle" in Gushan Island. The climax of herring array is from July to November of the lunar calendar every year. On a clear and calm day in Wan Li, visitors can feast their eyes on it, and the school of fish will not be scattered near, and they can take pictures without disorder and swim freely.
