What is quality tourism?
First of all, it is clear that honest tourism is not high-end tourism, nor is it completely equivalent to quality tourism. It is a tourism brand created in response to the confusion of traditional routes. It is tourism without intentional deception and is aimed at the public. touristy. The value of tourism is mainly based on spiritual feelings, and material requirements are not the main factor affecting the quality of tourism. Integrity tourism takes information transparency as its basic principle, and material arrangements are based on the needs of tourists.
Tourism has six major elements, food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping, and entertainment. The "Integrity Tourism Standards for Citizens' Travel" (hereinafter referred to as: Standards) formulated by our Integrity Alliance is based on these six elements. Although there are many subdivided projects, as long as franchisees grasp the principles of these six elements, they can gain the trust and praise of tourists, and the dignity of the industry can rise day by day.
We set standards to prevent traps for tourists; to prevent opaque and asymmetric information; and to prevent tourists from being deceived without knowing it.
1. Eating standards:
1. Do not deduct catering expenses, the portions are stable, and there is no problem in being full.
2. Clear standards; clear menus with different standards for tourists to choose from. You can't just settle for a simple eight dishes and one soup; the dining standards can be high or low, different standards have different prices, and the menu is clear.
3. The dishes have a reasonable combination of meat and vegetables: The standard for a regular group is: eight dishes and one soup, at least four meat dishes, and those related to eggs are considered vegetarian dishes. Meat must account for more than half of the non-vegetarian dishes.
4. Restaurant selection: Try to choose one with a clean environment and a warm and thoughtful service attitude. On the travel agency's website, when introducing the menu, you can include photos of the restaurant. The restaurant is basically fixed, and the relationship with the travel agency will be good. Once tourists think that the portion is not enough, general additional dishes, ranging from meat to one vegetable, should be negotiated between the tour guide and the restaurant, and tourists should not be asked to pay money.
5. Feature introduction: Food is a kind of culture, and it is also a content worth experiencing in tourism. Every place will have its own special food, promote food, and allow tourists to taste special food. It has even evolved into a consumption trap. Regarding the special dining at the tourist destination, its characteristics and prices should be stated in advance in the notes in the itinerary.
2. Standards of Accommodation
Among the current tourism complaints, the main complaint about accommodation is the opacity of information. Many travel itineraries use ambiguous and specious terms, leaving tourists with no way to defend their rights. For example, it is almost three-star, or the same level, etc., which makes tourists confused. There is basically no mention of its geographical location and degree of oldness that affect tourists’ mood.
1. Clear standards: The accommodation standards of Minzheng Chengxin Tourism can be high or low. The wording of the information should be clear, and the name, location, and standards of the hotel must be clearly explained.
2. Comprehensive relevant information: hotels with different standards are clearly defined for tourists to choose from. The geographical location of each hotel, its supporting service facilities, and surrounding entertainment venues are all factors that cause price differences, allowing tourists to understand that the price is consistent with the relevant supporting facilities.
3. Hotel selection: For commonly used hotels, relevant photos should be included as much as possible: exteriors, lobby, rooms, etc.
3. Standards of travel
Travel refers to transportation in tourism activities.
1. Massive transportation: The transportation between the departure point and the destination is relatively fair and stable. Pay attention to the hard seats, hard sleepers, soft sleepers, air conditioning, etc. of the train, as well as the flight time, etc.
2. Small transportation: refers to vehicles used for tourism. Gambling is not allowed in honest tourism. Sufficient fares must be ensured for drivers so that their efforts can also be reasonably reflected. Once this is met, the problem of travel will basically be solved. We will never be a low- or zero-fare team. Drivers and car owners do not need to "gamble" to pick up groups. Drivers fully cooperate with tour guides.
3. Driver requirements: Actively cooperate with the tour guide, be on time, and the bus must wait for people when gathering; except in busy areas where parking is prohibited, tourists are not allowed to wait for the bus. When the weather is hot, the air conditioner should be turned on in advance. Regardless of whether there are tourists in the car or not, the driver is not allowed to smoke. Unless you are traveling a long distance, try not to refuel in the presence of tourists and waste their time. Relevant preparations must be done in advance.
4. Requirements for car appearance: the car must be clean and hygienic, and photos of commonly used models must be included. The sanitation must be cleaned once a day. The tour guide in the car is fully equipped and at least has a microphone.
4. Travel Standards
1. Do not engage in low-price competition: prevent empty itineraries and eliminate entry to high-rebate, low-quality attractions.
2. The itinerary is highly valuable: The itinerary arranged by Integrity Travel is the most popular tourist attraction with local characteristics, allowing tourists to fully experience the local customs and natural scenery. Integrity Tourism starts from the perspective of humanity and does not consider turning away tourists due to high prices. Instead, it designs the most valuable routes for tourists.
Taking the two-day Shangri-La tour from Lijiang as an example, the integrity route is very different from the conventional route.
The first bay of the Yangtze River is of great ornamental value, but the conventional itinerary is only arranged to overlook it at 13 kilometers, which has no effect at all. In the Integrity itinerary, we not only take tourists to visit the nearest place, but also take them to a suitable place to climb up and enjoy the panoramic view of the first bay of the Yangtze River.
Songzanlin Temple, which is not included in the regular itinerary, is also a must-see attraction for honest travel. This is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Yunnan and is very valuable to visit.
Another example is the arrangement of scenic spots in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Currently, many teams only go to Tianzi Mountain and not Yuanjiajie. However, the scenery of Yuanjiajie is the most distinctive in the entire forest park. There’s no ticket difference here, it’s just a matter of time. Because in the regular itinerary, a certain amount of time must be allocated for shopping and self-financed items, the itinerary is compressed so that tourists from afar cannot enjoy the most worth-seeing scenery.
3. Reasonable arrangements and sufficient time for sightseeing: The itinerary of honest tourism must be reasonably arranged, and the time for sightseeing must be sufficient to allow tourists to enjoy themselves.
5. Purchasing Standards
At present, the biggest and biggest trap in the tourism industry is reflected in fixed-point shopping. There are three major characteristics: inferior quality, fake quality, and false price. One of the three must be present. Anything mixed with the current so-called designated shopping is deception. Integrity tourism resolutely puts an end to fixed-point shopping in the traditional sense. By eliminating this, integrity is more than half guaranteed.
But since shopping is one of the six major elements of tourism, it has its own rationality. Integrity Tourism treats shopping as a service to tourists, rather than as its main source of profit. This is a new definition of quality tourism for tourism shopping.
1. Good things, good shops, genuine goods at reasonable prices: Tour guides with integrity can introduce local high-quality specialty products to tourists when leading groups. However, shopping is arranged after the trip. Interested tourists will be led by a tour guide or go to an open, fair and just shopping place on their own, and the price and quality are guaranteed. Shopping with integrity means that tourists can buy products that locals love and are willing to give away at prices that locals pay.
2. Strictly formulate a reasonable referral commission ratio: It is normal for merchants to give promoters some hard work fees from the profits when shopping under the premise that the interests of tourists are guaranteed. The specific ratio is voluntary by the merchant. As long as the shopping principle is not to sacrifice the interests of tourists, and a fair shopping environment is provided for tourists, the commission will naturally be adjusted to an appropriate ratio.
3. Shopping will never affect normal sightseeing: On the premise of ensuring quality and price, why not arrange shopping in the itinerary? Regarding this, Integrity Travel has its own explanation. The purpose of tourism is mainly sightseeing, and some tourists are not even interested in shopping. If shopping is arranged during the itinerary, it is unfair for those who have no interest in shopping and will waste their time waiting in boredom. Integrity tourism means being as fair as possible.
6. Entertainment Standards
Entertainment, explained from another perspective, is the arrangement of self-funded projects.
According to the regulations of quality tourism, tour guides can recommend self-paid items, but there are three principles:
1. Self-paid items cannot be recommended in the daytime itinerary, because for the same item, the same car Tourists will have different reactions. Maybe some projects are worth participating in, such as horse riding, rafting, etc., but for those who don’t participate, waiting on the side is unfair and shouldn’t be done. Of course, if the tour group comes from the same unit, after soliciting everyone's opinions, some projects are not completely unacceptable. For some projects that are basically chosen, such as mountaineering ropeways, they should be included directly in the itinerary, so that tourists should not be divided by choosing such projects.
2. For some self-financed projects that have good content but high prices, tour guides can recommend them, but they must not over-promote them or exaggerate them. If they cause resentment to tourists, they are not allowed. Regarding the issue of higher prices, Integrity Travel will take a mutually acceptable approach. Tourists who participate in such self-funded activities will receive a gift as compensation, or a coupon will be given to reduce the tourist's burden.
3. Recommend truly valuable entertainment projects: Entertainment projects are often strongly supported and packaged by local governments and have strong local characteristics. It is very important in tourism activities to come to a place to fully experience the local customs and culture. , so it can be recommended to tourists in a healthy and sincere way for free choice.
7. Standards for tour guides:
After all material conditions are determined, it is the tour guides, the soul of the tourism industry, who can truly implement honest tourism.
For a tour guide who travels with integrity, his efforts must be reasonably reflected. Given the current status of the industry, it is impossible to provide fixed wages to tour guides. It is recommended that the value of tour guides be reflected in the form of high subsidies. The specific subsidy standards will vary from place to place depending on the income situation, which will be adjusted by the market.
1. Accept the concept of honest tourism: focus on the training and management of tour guides, and select tour guides with both ability and political integrity. He must understand and accept the concept of honest tourism, and at the same time become a promoter of honest tourism.
2. Strictly implement the travel agency's itinerary: Tour guides who travel with integrity must strictly implement the travel agency's itinerary and must not deliberately deceive tourists in various ways to earn undue extra income. Integrity tourism does not completely prevent tour guides from earning extra income, such as recommending performances, food, self-paid items, or shopping, but it must be within the scope allowed by the travel agency.
3. The relevant service standards for tour guides and tour guide service specifications are very detailed, and they can be implemented strictly in accordance with the requirements.
