Where is Weizhou Island? Detailed guide to Weizhou Island five-day tour in 2018

Weizhou Island is a very dreamy place. Many people may not know where this place is. This editor will tell you where Weizhou Island is and what you should pay attention to when going to Weizhou Island.

Where is Weizhou Island?

The southern waters of Beibu Gulf, Beihai, Guangxi.

Detailed guide for the five-day trip to Weizhou Island

The five-day trip from Beihai to Weizhou Island used up all my personal money and the remaining half a month's living expenses. If someone asks, do you think it’s worth it?

Value.

Well, college life wouldn’t be complete without a few decent trips. At a third-rate university in a third-tier city, my week's schedule was filled with various courses that I had no interest in at all. If I were at their mercy, I might even become a zombie. So I just bit the bullet and skipped all the classes, which made me feel like I was drowning and finally put my head out for air.

Some people may question, isn’t it common to skip classes in college? (Besides, I'm still in the third semester of my junior year.) But in my college, skipping classes may result in a review being written, being talked to by the dean, or even being punished.

It seems too far.

Before our trip and during the five days in Beihai, we also checked a lot of information online (actually it was my girlfriend who checked it, I am lazy). I just hope to spend less money and really benefit a lot. The summaries and evaluations of netizens have also been tested, and based on their opinions, we have had a good travel experience.

This article is dedicated to summarizing experience. I hope friends who go to Beihai-Weizhou Island can take less detours and have more fun!

1. Transportation (how to reach the destination directly, how to save money)

Beihai did not support Cao Cao’s special car when we went there. Fortunately Didi Taxi is still available.

1. Pick-up and drop-off service

The hotel support and pick-up service are all lies, at least in Beihai, but it is different on the island. I'll explain this in detail below. First of all, if you go to Beihai by plane, don't choose to have the hotel pick you up because it costs 90 or 100 a time. Of course, rich people should ignore this~

The airport bus costs 20 per person and the destination is the urban train station. From there, there will be 10 more drops. This is the first time I choose transfer service. I know that airport bus delivery is better than dropping off directly from the airport or choosing a pick-up service.

On the island, of course the hotel owner we booked was very nice. There are free shuttle buses to and from the island. Although the hotel is not far from the island's pier, this kind of humanistic care is still very good.

PS: The airport buses are all near the train station.

2. Island bus card VS battery car

Since we went during the off-season (April 13), many things were half price. The original price of the Weizhou Island bus card was 50 yuan, which was the special price of 20 yuan at that time. The price was very attractive, but I still didn’t buy it because it was only 40 yuan for both of us. And you can only sit ten times.

What’s even scarier! Buses on the island can only take the main road (that is, the thickest pink line on the island), and you need to walk elsewhere.

Although the island is not big, for lazy cancer patients, going out for fun is just a comfortable way, right? So of course you can’t wrong yourself! So we didn't buy a bus pass. We chose a battery car, which cost one to fifty yuan for the afternoon of the first day plus the afternoon of the second day (be sure to bargain! Sixty yuan for one day, thirty yuan for half a day, and then ten yuan for one or two hours. Try to cut down the price) Price! ) and ride your bike around the island! You can go wherever you want and drive directly to the entrance of the attraction you want. However, some attractions require a parking fee of three yuan.

3. Ferry tickets should be booked in advance.

Everyone knows what the three times above mean. Even in the off-season, I was reminded repeatedly in advance by the hotel owner: buy tickets in advance!

The boats to the island have fixed departures, and there are only a few times a day. Once sold out, it’s gone, mainly to control customer flow. Because the island cannot accommodate so many guests, again:

One! Get in position. yes! carry! Front! Book!

What, where to go?

Online!

Website?

The hotels in Beihai and Weizhou Island all know it! Just ask them!

PS: Regarding the cruise seats, the prices of Level A and Level B are relatively affordable, and the fluctuations in these two cabins are very small.

Even so, some people experience discomfort, discomfort, and nausea while sailing on the ocean. Therefore, you must consider your physical condition when booking tickets. On the left and right sides of Level A are rows 14-16 by the window, which are relatively spacious and you can also see the sea view when sailing. I’m done~

2. Beach (it’s important to choose the beach that suits you best)

First of all, make sure you want to go What kind of beach.

For people like me who are going to the beach for the first time, just go to all the beaches.

This can be more targeted.

Yintan Coconut Brother is very professional.

1. Popular taste

Speaking of beaches, if you think of swimming rings, beach shorts, and parasols, I believe that Silver Beach in the North Sea will be your destination.

There are beaches, fishing boats, coconuts, and safety guards here. You can go into the sea at will and experience swimming in the sea.

2. Small and fresh choices

Groups of twos and threes, endless coastline, shells, or small fish.

If you are like me and don’t like noisy crowds and crowded beaches, I believe the beaches near the international port will be your cup of tea.

Seaport

Swimming is not allowed on these uncommercialized beaches (it is not safe), but it is still possible to walk along the coastline, especially if two people walk quietly. Moreover, there are still a large number of small crabs on these beaches that have not been commercialized! There is also a certain chance of encountering jellyfish or something.

I took a photo of the monk crab that the museum guy mentioned.

3. Want to watch the sunrise/sunset?

The above beaches are all in Beihai City, and they are all free and open (at least when I went there).

There are also some beaches on Weizhou Island, which are very suitable for watching the sunrise and sunset.

Sunrise: Rainbow Beach, Shell Beach

According to the hotel owner, if you go to Rainbow Beach during the peak tourist season, you may be charged extra by local islanders, but it is not expensive. About 10 yuan. It was off-season when we went, so we only paid the parking fee (yes, there is a parking fee for battery-powered cars too. On the streets of Beihai, battery-powered cars cannot be left randomly and should be parked in those roadside parking spaces. As mentioned above.) < /p>

Sunset: Shiluokou Beach

For some reasons.

The needy households get up in the morning.

So I didn’t go to Sunrise Beach in the morning, but went in the afternoon. At dusk, we drove to Shiluokou, which is a very suitable place to watch the sunset. I regret not bringing my SLR camera. Because the pictures taken by mobile phones are so much worse than what you see with your eyes. Please forgive me~

I don’t know the gradient of the sky.

3. Are there any other interesting attractions? Where not to go?

Beihai:

Don’t go to the mangroves. Really, at least in the off-season, don't go.

I spent more than 60 express tickets and watched the crabs and jumping fish in the mangroves from a distance. What about catching up with the sea~, and what about the national performance, there is nothing! That kind of thing can only be seen in the promotional video at the ticket office at the door.

Of course, if you go during peak season, these shows may be held. Whether the mangroves at that time were worth visiting is another matter.

If you want to go here.

Tickets: Tickets at the box office are 120 yuan per person. You can buy them at half price on Meituan, but Meituan must buy tickets one hour in advance! In other words, when you decide to go to the mangrove forest, please buy a ticket with Meituan one hour before departure, and then you can pick up the ticket directly when you arrive (online tickets need to wait an hour to pick up the ticket).

In addition, Beihai Old Street is also a place suitable for taking pictures but not suitable for eating.

Weizhou Island:

In addition to the beaches on the island, the Catholic Church is a place worth visiting. The decoration of the church is gorgeous, and the decoration of the backyard is really beautiful. Very suitable for friends who love taking pictures.

Fourth, food

I believe everyone is most interested in food, so I put it last (funny)

But when I seriously enjoy food , I don’t have time to take pictures, so here are only the most practical suggestions for you:

1. Leave the seafood to this island.

On the first day in Beihai, I couldn’t help but go to Qiaogang Fengqing Street to eat seafood. However.

The restaurants in that place are very expensive (compared to those on the island)! And, no! All right! Eat it! Especially for friends from Hunan and the north, even if the Pipi shrimps are cooked half-cooked, they still have a strong fishy smell after secondary processing. According to the waiter, this is how the locals eat Pipi shrimp. I don’t know if it was because I didn’t adapt to the local tastes, but my first seafood dinner was a failure.

Of course, I can't cover the whole place. Maybe other stores will make delicious ones, but I only share my subjective feelings. This place is not for me!

When you arrive at Weizhou Island, Nanwan Market is a must-visit. It was a seafood wholesale market. There was a public sign outside the market, which listed the conscientious vendors and the unscrupulous vendors. I personally bought seafood at the Nanwan Market (it closes at 6 or 7 p.m., and the price is the lowest), and then took it to the Nanwan Snack Street for processing, because it is cheap and delicious here. And it’s suitable for most people’s tastes. My wish for a seafood dinner came true~

2. The coconut milk at the Catholic Church is good.

On the island, there are actually not as many buildings as we thought. Most of the snacks are concentrated near the scenic spots, including the coconut milk at the Catholic Church. Holding cool coconut milk outside the church really gave us a great experience (why outside the church? Because eating is not allowed in the church)

The snacks in some attractions are not delicious

< p>Although it is said that coconut milk is delicious, when I was in Beihai.

I'm just telling you this as a friend.

This is a matter of opinion.

In my few travel experiences, I found that the food in some scenic spots is expensive and tastes bad. This time Beihai is no exception, especially Qiaogang Style Street and Beihai Old Street. Since they have little need for loyalty, their guests eat once and then leave. Even if the taste is not good, there will still be a steady stream of customers coming to them.

Where are the really delicious local dishes?

Of course it is those places that stay in the city center all year round or where residents gather. These stores can stand the test of the masses. Both price and taste have been accepted by the locals, so their reliability is naturally much higher. So after returning to Beihai from Weizhou Island, we stayed near the downtown area and truly experienced the local flavor.

In fact, I have already eaten eight plates of abalone.

It’s delicious! praise!

Finally, I would like to introduce two shops that I think are very good:

Chuan: Seafood is processed. The taste is very good. How to deal with it can be discussed with the store staff.

I originally wanted to go to Stone Road, an online celebrity store, but it was packed even in the off-season. Then I chose Ishikawa)

White Deer Villa: The boss is very nice. He called me many times to remind me to book ferry tickets in advance and arrange free pick-up and drop-off services on and off the island. When renting a battery car, Help with bargaining. This villa is not in the scenic area, but close to Nanwan.
