1. Zhangmu Town

Colorful Border Towns in Tibet

Zhangmu Town is an important branch of the Tea Horse Road. It borders Nepal on the southeast and west sides and is about 30 meters above sea level. It is 2300 meters away from Lhasa, 736 kilometers away, and 120 kilometers away from Kathmandu. This area is subtropical, with a humid climate and pleasant scenery.

The town is located on the slope of the valley at the southern foot of the Himalayas on the China-Nepal border, at an altitude of 2,300 meters. It is a small town built on the mountain. It was called "Tajue Gabu" in ancient times, which means "neighbor" in Tibetan. port". The buildings in the town are mainly small buildings with two or three floors.

Because Zhangmu Town is built on a slope, there are many street corners, and most of the roofs have small gardens and iron roofs. Various wind horse flags and fortune trees are hung on the roof. The whole town is surrounded by green mountains and green waters, covered with colorful colors, which is very eye-catching.

As a very busy trading port, the town has heavy traffic and is often flooded.

There are hundreds of shops selling various goods on both sides of the road, and you can often see colorful Tata trucks on the streets. In addition to Tibetans and Hans, there are also many Indians and Nepalis.

Zhangmu Town, 2,300 meters above sea level, is a typical mountain town along the winding mountain road.

It is 30 kilometers to Zhangmu Town, Nyalam County and takes 1 hour by car.

The road is steep and the ancient trees are towering. Interestingly, the waterfall hangs down from the fog. At the end of the street, a few kilometers away is the Chinese Customs, which is the Friendship Bridge at the junction of China and Nepal.

3. Medog

The lotus blooms in the secret world.

Medog is also called "Yubo Baima Gang" in Buddhist scriptures, which means "hidden lotus". Legend has it that this place has various delicacies and sweet fruits.

There is also the golden key that opens the door to heaven.

This is the place with the lowest altitude and the best environment in Tibet. It is also the place with the mildest rainfall and the best ecological preservation in Tibet.

Medog County is located in the lower reaches of the Brahmaputra River, with an average altitude of 1,200 meters. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south, surrounded by mountains, shaped like a lotus. The folk song "The top of the mountain is in the clouds, breathing fire" describes the terrain here

In short, the mountains, rivers and water in Medog are all part of the goddess's body. Around the county, there are some scenic spots to visit, such as Rinqinbeng Temple, Daba Zhuhai, Ermayina Magong Alpine Temperate Primeval Forest, Divine Lake and Waterfalls.

Techniques

01. Not far from the big bend of the Brahmaputra River, there is another bend of the Palong Zangbo River, which is also very similar. Be careful not to make mistakes.

02. Be sure to bring some anthelmintic medicine, first aid medicine, snake medicine, anti-inflammatory medicine, and disinfectant, just in case. Knee pads and leggings (or stockings) are definitely needed. If you are accidentally bitten by a leech, sprinkle some salt on the leech and burn it with a cigarette butt to make it retreat quickly.

4. Day Tuo Temple

Tibetan version of the Maldives

Drive After entering Yanghu Scenic Area, about 10 minutes later, at the end of the road, you will encounter a small island in the lake where a day care temple is built. The island is drop-shaped and surrounded by Yanghu Lake. There is only one driving road connected to the land, making people feel as if they have arrived at the end of the world.

The water of Day Care Yanghu Lake is like a fairyland, and it can instantly beat many foreign scenic day care centers without using filters. It's really exciting to see this Yang Lake changing from white to blue.

Once you get to the island, you have to walk to the top of the mountain. Like the Lhasa temple, the Ritu Temple is a red and yellow building. Although it is not large in area, it is also a complete temple with a history of more than 700 years. Perhaps this temple is unknown due to its remote location.

Standing at the Suncare Temple, a sightseeing spot in Yanghu, you can overlook the blue Yanghu at 270 degrees, so it can also be called the "Excellent Viewing Platform of Yanghu"!

5. Yiri Canyon

"Little Switzerland of the East"

It is known as the natural super "big oxygen valley". There are beautiful trees on both sides of the canyon, blocking the sunlight and releasing a large amount of negative oxygen ions. The cliffs beside the canyon tower into the clouds. You have to look up to see the blue sky, white clouds, mountains of different shapes and strange-shaped rocks, which all reflect the uncanny workmanship of nature.

In summer, come here and look at the green flowers, the sea of ??swaying wheat ears in the highland barley fields, the warm summer wind, the dry sunshine, and the leisurely scenery far or near. You will have the urge to stop and feel the quiet time and space as the yaks forage for food.

There is another natural beauty hidden in the boudoir in Jiduo Village, Shangka Township, not far from Yiri Gorge - Jixi Flower Sea is under a cliff, and there is a large flat area in the middle of the tall and dense virgin forest. The open fields are filled with yellow wildflowers every summer, which is extremely spectacular.
