What to wear when traveling to Sri Lanka in June and July

Sri Lanka is close to the equator and feels like summer all year round. It has a typical tropical monsoon climate with an average annual temperature of around 28°C. From May to August every year, the rainfall is the highest in the whole year. Although there is a lot of precipitation at this time, it is also very suitable for our travels. Because as a tropical monsoon climate area, the precipitation in the rainy season is only equivalent to my country's normal precipitation. In addition, the temperature at this time is the most suitable time of the year, and the temperature difference is relatively small. The cool wind and the blooming flowers are our favorites. If you choose to visit Sri Lanka in July or August, prepare an umbrella, a few sets of midsummer clothes, and a few long-sleeved shirts. The temperature difference between morning and evening is large to prevent catching a cold. Shoes are mainly sandals. Because it rains often, the shoes will inevitably get wet from time to time. Of course, you also need to prepare sunscreen. Sri Lanka is quite hot in July and August to avoid sunburn. During the dry season, the precipitation is basically zero, and the weather is extremely dry, so it is not suitable for us to travel to Sri Lanka during the dry season. One thing we need to note is that not all Sri Lanka has a tropical monsoon climate, but also a temperate maritime climate. The average temperature in these areas is around 20°C, which is very suitable for people to engage in outdoor activities.
