Huanglong Scenic Area (Huanglong Scenic Area), located in Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, is the only well-protected plateau wetland in China, on a ridge that gradually rises from south to north. Huanglong Scenic Area covers an area of 700 square kilometers, which is 0/00km away from Jiuzhaigou1700-5588m above sea level. The core area is dotted with more than 3,000 color pools, featuring a unique and colorful travertine landscape on the surface, which is composed of Huanglonggou, Yun Dan Gorge, Munigou, Xuebaoding and the Monument Garden of the Red Army's Long March Monument.

The main landscape is concentrated in Huanglonggou, which is about 3.6 kilometers long. The ditch is full of calcium carbonate deposits and rich in animal and plant resources. 1992, Huanglong Scenic Area was listed in the World Natural Heritage List. It is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction and a national key scenic spot. In May, 2023, it was listed as 10 national tourist route with the theme of the Yangtze River by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

1, plant resources

From the valley bottom (2000 meters above sea level) to the top (3800 meters above sea level) of Huanglong Scenic Area, there are subtropical evergreen deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest, coniferous mixed forest, subalpine coniferous forest, alpine shrub meadow, etc., with dense vegetation and coverage rate as high as 88.9%, which is the place where plants gather.

There are national protected plants such as Cercidiphyllum japonicum, pistachio, sequoia, hemlock and yew in the area, as well as plants endemic to China or the region such as Saussurea involucrata, spruce, magnolia officinalis, cypress and conifer in Xinjiang. There are many kinds of spruce and fir in the nature reserve, and Fargesia is widely distributed.

Huanglong Scenic Area is home to more than 0/0 species of national key protected animals such as giant panda, golden monkey, wildebeest and clouded leopard.
