What does Dubai mean?

Dubai.

Dubai (English: Dubai) is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates, located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf. Dubai is also the capital of Dubai, one of the seven Emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai belongs to Asia, geographically to West Asia, and politically and strategically to the Middle East (the Middle East includes some countries in North Africa and West Africa besides the GCC). Dubai is located in the middle of Arabian Peninsula and the south bank of Arabian Gulf, which is the center of the Gulf region. It faces the South Asian subcontinent across the sea, borders Qatar, borders Saudi Arabia and borders Oman.

Located in the middle of the Middle East, Dubai is a flat desert area facing the Persian Gulf. The area is 4 1 14 square kilometers, accounting for 5.8% of the total area of the United Arab Emirates, ranking second only to Abu Dhabi in the national area. The population is 3 102, 511(April 2018), accounting for about 4 1.9% of the national population, making it the most populous city.

Dubai is the economic and financial center in the Middle East, and also the main passenger and cargo transportation hub in the Middle East. Oil revenue promoted the early development of Dubai, but due to limited reserves and low production level, after 20 10, the oil industry only accounted for less than 5% of Dubai's gross national product. After oil, Dubai's economy mainly depends on tourism, aviation, real estate and financial services.
