When traveling to Gansu by high-speed rail, what other attractions are worth visiting?
Gansu has a vast territory and beautiful natural scenery. The loess plateau, vast grasslands, vast Gobi desert and white glaciers form a magnificent natural scenery picture. As everyone knows, Gansu’s cultural tourism resources rank fifth in the country and have all types of tourism resources except oceans and islands. The “Western Rim Train Tour” launched by the Tourism Bureau in August last year is also known as the “Land Cruise”, which connects major tourist cities in the northwest. However, when talking about Gansu tourism, everyone will first think of Yumen Pass, Crescent Moon Spring, and Mogao Grottoes, Dunhuang murals, camel bells in the desert, Danxia wonders, etc., but what other scenic spots in Gansu are worth visiting?

Wuwei Station-Tiantishan Grottoes
Among the many grottoes in my country, the grottoes in Gansu have the largest number of murals and statues, are the best preserved, and span the longest period of time. In Gansu, starting from Dunhuang, passing through Zhangye, Wuwei, Yongjing, and then to Tianshui and Qingyang, a famous grotto art corridor is formed.
The Tiantishan Grottoes were built in Beiliang during the Sixteen Kingdoms period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. They have a history of 1,600 years and are also known as the Liangzhou Grottoes. They are located in Dengshan Village, Zhangyi Town, 50 kilometers south of Wuwei City. The Tiantishan Grottoes are one of the earliest grottoes excavated in my country and a representative of early grotto art in my country. They are the source of the Yungang Grottoes and the Longmen Grottoes. They occupy an important position in the history of Chinese Buddhism and are known as the "originator of the grottoes".
