Breaking out of "Death Valley" - a complete documentary of the first time humans crossed Heizhugou

On July 31, the People's Government of Ebian County, Sichuan Province and the Sichuan Tourism Investment Group jointly held a press conference on the results of the Heizhugou exploration. At the meeting, Professor Liu Yong, a famous extreme explorer from Sichuan Tourism University, told how he led a scientific expedition team on an arduous trek for 4 days and 3 nights, and finally successfully walked through the hinterland of Heizhugou, known as "China's Bermuda" - Luo In the Soida area, humans completed the feat of crossing Heizhugou for the first time.

This time-travel adventure was jointly supported and initiated by the Ebian County People's Government, Sichuan Tourism Investment Group, Tsinghua Strait Research Institute and Sichuan Tourism University. It took several months to prepare and has attracted great attention nationwide and even The global exploration community has great historical significance and practical value.

Heizhugou Scenic Area is located in Heizhugou Town, Ebian Yi Autonomous County, Leshan City, Sichuan, with a total area of ??838 square kilometers and a core scenic area of ??575 square kilometers. It is a national nature reserve , national forest park and national 4A tourist attraction.

Heizhugou is located at the mysterious 30 degrees north latitude, which happens to be at the same latitude as the Bermuda Triangle and the Egyptian Pyramids. Many terrifying and unsolved mysteries are intertwined and shrouded in the sky like mist all year round. As early as the 1980s, Heizhugou was known as "China's Bermuda". Coupled with the endless circulation of many mysterious legends, Heizhugou has always been closely associated with images of terror and danger.

Among the many mysteries, the mystery of mysterious disappearances is the most enduring: regardless of humans or animals, once they enter Heizhugou, it is very easy for "mysterious disappearances" to occur, and the vast white fog covers them. In the valley, after the fog dissipates, it is often "swallowed up" together with the people and animals in the valley. According to incomplete statistics, since 1951 to the present, the Southern Sichuan Forestry Bureau, the Sichuan Provincial Forestry Department exploration team, the army surveying and mapping team and the Yi compatriots have been in danger many times in Heizhugou, resulting in three deaths, three injuries and two missing people.

Thanks to the continuous exploration and accumulation of predecessors, Heizhugou has now developed five adventure routes. Among them, the most eye-catching one is the 60-kilometer-long geomagnetic anomaly core zone in "Shimenguan-Ronghongde-Rosoyida". Although there have been many records of successful arrivals at Shimen Pass, and there have been many expedition records on the "Fox Mountain-611 Forest Farm" route, no one has yet successfully crossed the "Ronghongde-Jubigou-Luosuida" route. Even the many professional expedition teams formed by the local government and related agencies can only sigh in the face of the mysterious Rosoyda, allowing it to be hidden in the mysterious veil of white mist in the mountains, tingling the nerves of adventure enthusiasts all over the world. .

Faced with the mysterious Heizhugou and Rosoyda, the local government is determined to unravel the mystery that has shrouded it for many years. With the joint efforts of the Ebian County People's Government, Sichuan Tourism Investment Group, Tsinghua Strait Research Institute and Sichuan Tourism University, a team led by Liu Yong, a professor at Sichuan Tourism University and a famous extreme explorer, and four domestic In this way, a top-notch expedition team was born, with experienced and well-known experts in the exploration world as members, and they were determined to challenge the unknown land of Rosoyda.

Professor Liu Yong, known as "Big Liu" and "Brother Yong" in the industry, has a 30-year career in extreme exploration. He has traveled to the Himalayas, Karakoram, Hengduan Mountains, Alps, and the North American Rockies. , Central and South America, and the Arctic and Antarctic continents and other places, he walked on ice and snow, crossed mountains and seas, and was given the nickname "Professor Flying".

Liu Yong said that the preliminary preparations for the expedition took several months, and many experts in various fields such as geological surveying and mapping, life sciences, outdoor imaging, mountain disasters, and extreme adventures formed an advisory group. The members of the expedition team went to Heizhugou four times to investigate, and consulted a large amount of historical, humanistic, hydrological and meteorological data. They invited local experienced experts, hunters and herb collectors who had done expeditions to organize many discussions and symposiums, and collected a large amount of first-hand information. material. After many reviews and evaluations, it was finally decided to go deep into the most mysterious geomagnetic anomaly zone in Heizhugou in late June and challenge the "crown of secret places" in Heizhugou - Luosoyida.

June 21, the temperature was 21 degrees, 12 noon. Led by Professor Liu Yong, a total of nine members of the expedition team officially embarked on the adventure.

Climb Ronghongde at an altitude of 3,280 meters and officially enter the no-man’s land to the south. Under the scorching sun, heavy rain, and thick fog, the expedition team struggled to move through the primitive mountains with no roads, mountain forests, river valleys, and cliffs. When entering the cliff ravine on the second day, a large waterfall with a height of 80-90 meters blocked the progress of the expedition team. The road ahead is blocked, and the adventure seems to be repeating the same mistakes as previous failures. After deliberation on the spot, the members of the expedition team took the risk and decided to use ropes to descend from the 120-meter-high slippery cliff and "airborne" into the cliff gully!

The bottom of the valley is deep, slippery and narrow, with steep cliffs that seem to be closed, and large and small waterfalls and rivers blocking the way. The exploration team walked in it and wandered on the road without any roads. Walk alone. During the arduous journey to explore the bottom of the valley, it took the expedition team 9 hours to travel 3.7 kilometers on the most difficult section.

In the end, the team had to stay in the river valley for camping. However, in the middle of the night, a sudden heavy rain caused the river water level to rise sharply. "Everyone was worried about a flash flood and barely slept a wink the whole night!"

Torment One night, luckily there was no danger. The next day, the team members braved the pouring rain and climbed on the slippery rock wall. In the dense forest shrouded in mist, mosquitoes, locusts, and venomous snakes bite and attack frequently, and dangers arise frequently. The team members need to concentrate their energy at all times to deal with various emergencies...

June 24, nearly 5 pm, Majiaba on the lower reaches of the Rosoyda River.

After four days and three nights, the expedition team finally walked out of the mountains from Majiaba, the lower reaches of the Losoida River. Professor Liu Yong, who had not seen any human beings for nearly a week, had no idea of ??the great significance of this expedition to explorers across the country and even the world when he saw the villages outside the valley. This was the first time that humans entered from Ronghongde, passing through the cliff ditch, Crossing Losoida, we explored the core line of the Heizhugou geomagnetic anomaly zone, and finally completed the great feat of crossing the Heizhugou. At this moment, what Professor Liu Yong did was to eat the last bag of braised pork with relief - this was something he deliberately left behind in the valley without telling the team members to prevent food shortages due to emergencies such as getting lost. grain reserves".

"People and animals often disappear and die when they enter Heizhugou. In fact, all kinds of mysterious and terrifying mysteries are not that mysterious." Liu Yong believes that the phenomenon of mysterious disappearances in Heizhugou It is likely that the entrants acted rashly without sufficient preparation and rich experience, and mishandled dangerous situations and accidents occurred, such as slipping and falling into an abyss or canyon, etc. The dense vegetation and changeable temperature differences in the deep mountains and valleys can easily lead to fog and other phenomena. The combination of the two creates the so-called "mysterious disappearance" of Heizhugou.

However, this event also confirmed many "weird" features of Heizhugou. For example, the ground belt deflection phenomenon in Heizhugou does exist. During the exploration process, members of the expedition team used electronic compasses and mechanical compasses to measure and compare with each other to test the geomagnetic tape of Rosoyda, and found that the geomagnetic deflection at the core was as high as 30 degrees. This not only proves that there is indeed a ground deflection phenomenon in the Heizhugou area, but it may also be one of the reasons for the frequent disappearances in the area.

Moreover, due to the special terrain, the hinterland of Heizhugou is less disturbed by humans and is not invaded by the fourth-season glaciers. Many ancient species can be preserved in Heizhugou, making Heizhugou, like a "palaeontological archive", has preserved many precious biological materials. Studying it will help humans better understand prehistoric ecology.

At present, the valuable information obtained from this expedition has been compiled and analyzed. A detailed scientific expedition report was also released at this press conference. The relevant data will be summarized and compiled into a professional study later. The report is submitted to local governments and relevant agencies as a reference for tourism route development planning. Wu Tao, director of the Heizhugou Management Committee, awarded Professor Liu Yong a letter of appointment as the "Heizhugou Tourism Ambassador". The expedition team will advance into the core area of ??Heizhugou again this year to complete the survey and scientific research of another route, adding a new dimension to the scenery of Heizhugou. Provide a detailed theoretical and practical basis for the development and development of adventure tourism in the region.

In this event, the local government is working closely with Sichuan Tourism Investment Group to build the first domestic adventure-themed mountain area in Heizhugou Tourist attractions. Wang Yan, brand content and channel director of the National Geographic Channel, which is committed to promoting exploration and discovery around the world; Wang Haichen, representative of Sichuan Green Langrui Sports Technology Co., Ltd., the licensee of the National Geographic Channel; and Sichuan Xinhei, who is responsible for the development of Heizhugou Scenic Area. Chen Tao, chairman of Zhugou Group, signed a documentary filming cooperation agreement at this event; the three parties worked together to build Heizhugou into a world-renowned adventure park. Perhaps, in the foreseeable future, after the COVID-19 epidemic subsides, Heizhugou will change its past mysterious and terrifying stereotype and become a "holy place" for adventure that is universally respected by all adventure enthusiasts at home and abroad.
