The origin of the village name: Beigao Village is located 2 kilometers south of the town government. In the second year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1369), the Gao family moved to this village from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and named it Gaojiacun. During the place name census in 1981, it was named Beigao because there was a village with the Gao surname in the south called Nangao.
