Where is Xinglong Mountain Scenic Area?

Xinglong Mountain National Nature Reserve is located in Yuzhong County in the southeast of Lanzhou City, bordering Lintao in the south, Dingxi in the east and Lanzhou in the northwest, belonging to the eastern extension of Qilian Mountain. The total area of the reserve is about 3330 1 hectare. Xinglong Mountain National Nature Reserve belongs to the type of forest ecosystem, and its main protection objects are wild animal musk deer, natural primitive old spruce forest and their ecosystems.

Xinglong Mountain Scenic Area Project is located in Maikedi Village, Dashuiquan Township, Xinglong County. It is wholly owned by Zhongjingxin Tourism Investment Development Co., Ltd., with a planned total investment of about 15 1 billion yuan, and the initial investment of about 1 billion yuan. The planned control area of the scenic spot is about 38 square kilometers, and the core area is about 15 square kilometers. The scenic spot aims at creating a national 5A-level scenic spot, takes Xinglong ecological landscape as the main line, relies on village construction, takes root in the local area, strives for development, pays attention to the trend, and follows the rhythm, so as to turn Xinglong Mountain Scenic Spot into a comprehensive tourist destination integrating ecological protection, sightseeing, sports and leisure, summer vacation, rural vacation and tourism to enrich the people.

The scenic spot is planned as a tourist landscape tour layout system of "one heart, two people, one belt and four districts", namely: the tourist distribution center of the scenic spot, the junction of the second entrance of Baiyun Temple and Baimachuan, the Ganges River hydrophilic recreation area, the Feng Shui experience area, the ecological forest recreation area, the quality rural resort area and the organic fruit picking area.

The first phase of the project mainly includes the construction of scenic gate, tourist distribution center, tourist transfer center, ecological parking lot, scenic trail, passenger ropeway, restaurant, A-class tourist toilet system, scenic water and electricity, communication and other infrastructure supporting systems, signage system, intelligent scenic spot system and short-distance transfer system for scenic spots. The second phase of the project mainly builds high-end leisure and holiday service facilities such as holiday leisure and health clubs and high-end hotels.

According to the requirements of the overall planning of tourism development in Xinglong County, the project of Xinglong Mountain Scenic Area will also integrate the drifting of the Red River, unify the construction and management, and realize the new tourism pattern of "breathing clouds and water and pulsating Xinglong Mountain". The soil in Xinglong Mountain National Nature Reserve is mainly gray cinnamon soil developed in rocky mountainous areas, in addition to alpine meadow soil, subalpine meadow soil, chestnut soil and newly accumulated soil. The zonal soil of shady forest land is leached gray cinnamon soil. The soil-forming parent materials are mainly phyllite, basalt, glutenite, volcanic rocks and other residues, slope deposits and loess materials.

Generally, the fertility is high, and the organic matter content is 1.63%, but the soil layer is shallow. The zonal soil of secondary forest land and shrub land on the sunny slope is carbonate leaching gray cinnamon soil. Soil-forming parent material is the same as shady slope, but because of its large slope, good drainage, abundant sunshine and rapid evaporation, carbonate reaction is strong, mostly alkaline, low organic matter content and poor fertility. In the area above 3000 meters above sea level, due to the high air humidity and low temperature, the vegetation is mainly shrubs and herbs, and the soil changes from subalpine meadow soil to alpine meadow soil.
