Where to go in Xi’an for two days? Xi’an two-day travel guide

Xi'an is a very historical and cultural city. It is full of historical charm everywhere. This is the first ancient city in the hearts of many friends, but it is also a relatively large city, not the small one you imagine. Streets and alleys, what can you do if you only have two days in Xi'an? The editor will tell you about it below. Two-day travel guide to Xi'an:

When I was in middle school, my impression of Xi'an was only limited to a few words in the textbook. The west of China and the north of the Qinling Mountains are battlegrounds for military strategists. These geographical and historical origins Created this "ancient capital of thirteen dynasties".

Later I read "The Ordinary World" and "White Deer Plain", and northern Shaanxi and Guanzhong gradually gained warmth and texture in my heart. I think maybe a trip to the Northwest is also a good choice.

I don’t have any special feelings for Xi’an. I really started to yearn for it after I joined the training camp. It’s funny to say that, yes, Teacher Wujie is from Xi’an.

I am not a personality cult, mainly because she would occasionally throw out a few Xi'an dialects in her lectures. I thought it was fun, so I followed her. Thinking about it, language has brought me closer to Xi'an.

I originally planned to take a weekend to visit Xi'an and eat delicious food, but it happened that the Xicheng-Chengdu High-speed Railway was opened. Hey, it’s the right time! Two friends and I hit it off immediately, so we bought tickets, booked a hotel, checked out guides, and prepared for a trip that just came and went.

The time of this trip was very short, exactly 2 days and 48 hours before and after. It was only enough to give a quick glimpse of Xi'an and leave a shallow impression in my mind. But I am still writing here to prove that my trip is worthwhile.

Simple yet smoky, this is my overall feeling about Xi’an’s markets. We arrived at Xi'an North Station at 5:30 pm on the 15th. It was almost dusk. We took the 11th subway station to Yongning Gate. It was already dark when we left the station. The lights of Yongningmen Square come into view, dotting the night sky of the city.

The city wall extends to the end of the sight, like connecting the past and present of the city. The cold wind came whistling with the smell of the northwest, pouring straight from the nostrils to the throat. The night in Xi'an came so unexpectedly that we were caught off guard.

Walking onto the streets of Xi'an, I looked around anxiously, wanting to appreciate her unique rhythm earlier. The city of Xi'an is as flat as Chengdu, with spacious and clean roads, slow-moving vehicles, small yellow cars parked on the roadside, and the style of the buildings is not new.

So what is the difference between Xi'an and Chengdu? Of course there is a difference. Just looking at the city wall towering in front of you is the difference. Holding your breath and concentrating, it seems that you have returned to the era of "the beacon fire lasts for three months", and the iron horse and the ice river come to sleep. ; The "Yangguan Sandiao" played by the guzheng in the square gives people a sense of vastness and eternity, unlike Chengdu, which is more leisurely and undisciplined; the air is mixed with the smell of ice and snow. Although it has not hit the first snow, it is still The temperament of the north is vast and thick, unlike the gentle and lingering style of the south: Listen to the fluent Xi'an dialect that lingers in your ears, and bold and open-minded men and straightforward and sonorous girls are bustling and walking through it.

Thousands of years ago, their ancestors worked hard on this hot land. They are the simplest lifeline of this city. My thoughts are flying, and I have a small taste of the charm of the ancient city. Because we were hungry, we didn’t dare to stay longer, so we walked in a hurry and arrived at the youth hostel we had booked in advance.

After putting down our luggage, we chose a nearby mutton-shabu restaurant for dinner. Surprises always appear when you least expect them. The taste of this restaurant is really good, and the spicy oil is even more amazing. After we filled our stomachs and walked into the night again, Xi'an's nightlife was about to begin.

It is said that a night without music is dry, so at this time, the bar street began to attract customers. The lights flicker, the colorful air rushes around, and the guitar and stand add to the atmosphere, either passionately or gently.

I was thinking about the store decorations when three or five bartenders swarmed us and dragged us inside. My companion was originally interested in choosing a restaurant to have a few drinks, but now he was really embarrassed and didn't know what to do.

She squeezed and ran out, but after this group of people left, another group of people came. Finally, we pushed and pushed each other and finally got out of the alley. After taking a breath, she said: "Are you still going?" I said: "I don't dare to go." Another companion suggested: "Let's go to Huimin Street." So we took the bus. Heading towards Huimin Street.

I have been searching for Huimin Street on the Internet for a long time. It is a gathering place for halal snacks. It looks mouth-watering.

However, perhaps because it was the wrong time, I was a little disappointed in Muslim Street. I don’t know which entrance I came in from, but the sight in front of me was unexpected. There are places in the ancient city that are so noisy, messy, and noisy.

The streets are paved with cement. It is probably the off-season for tourism, so the ground is relatively clean. Small vendors gather on both sides, setting up stalls with lights on, and the food is both baked and boiled, making it dazzling. It's appropriate to call this a night market. Perhaps the folk ones are the best. You won't get sick if you eat them without being dirty.

As for making it a must-visit tourist destination, it is a matter of opinion. We were already full by then, and the cold was so severe that we were careless and uninterested.

I can’t eat any of the famous roujiamo, biangbiang noodles, and mutton skewers. I just want to leave after walking through a street, and I have no intention of looking for places with cultural traces.

The motorcycles around us screamed and refused to give way at all. Those big guys from the northwest shouted to give way with murderous intent. We didn’t dare to stay any longer and hurried out from another road.

When we returned to the rental car, we asked the driver what Huimin Street was like. The driver sighed and said,

“This place is specially designed to entertain you out-of-towners.

< p>We locals eat wherever we go. "Who says it's not the case? This person has stayed in his own city for a long time and has become casual about what he eats. No matter how beautiful the scenery or the wonderful history, he has become numb.

Of course I understand what he said. I have only been in Chengdu for two years, and the Thatched Cottage and Wuhou Temple have become a common sight. I no longer go to Jinli and Kuanzhai Alleys to eat snacks.

But fortunately, these small alleys create fireworks, so the city is not too deserted and the popular culture is not too lonely. Back at Xiangzi Temple, the feeling of stomach bloating had dissipated, and my companions wanted to go back to the house to rest.

Although it is cold, I don’t want to go back to the house. I want to see more of the city at night. I went to the city wall alone and walked under the city wall. I listened to the honking of traffic, the friction between tires and the ground, and the hustle and bustle of the city tonight. I closed my eyes and meditated. In my mind were those ancient stories, the rise and fall of dynasties, The desolation of the world.

The streets of a city are a microcosm of the city. Xi'an has gone through thousands of years, and even though it has been swept away by the modern atmosphere, it still cannot hide its original flavor. So when you are walking on this street, the occasional city gate, archway, tower, or door will give you the feeling of traveling through time, which will make you think.

Ancient and modern, calm and public, a foreign tourist can only sum up so much. I walked through the night and refused to leave for a long time.
