Advantages: ① The terrain in the basin (dam) is flat, which is beneficial to agricultural development; (2) Abundant water and heat resources are beneficial to agricultural development; (3) Abundant hydraulic resources are beneficial to the development of hydropower; ④ The vertical differentiation of natural belt is obvious, and the biological resources (or biodiversity) are rich, which is beneficial to the development of diversified agriculture; ⑤ Natural and humanistic tourism resources are unique, which is beneficial to the development of tourism; ⑥ Rich mineral resources are beneficial to the development of mining, smelting and deep processing industries; ⑦ Being located in the border and adjacent to Southeast Asia is conducive to the development of border trade. Disadvantages: ① rugged terrain (or ups and downs); ② The plain area is small; (3) inconvenient transportation; ④ Low level of economic development; ⑤ Frequent geological disasters; ⑥ Rocky desertification is serious. Countermeasures: ① Vigorously develop transportation; (2) Strengthen economic ties and cooperation with surrounding areas (or at home and abroad); ③ Make full use of local resources (rich in hydropower and mineral resources) to develop hydropower, mining and deep processing industries; (4) Vigorously develop agricultural diversification; ⑤ Vigorously develop tourism.
