What should I pay attention to when I travel to Sri Lanka and apply for a Sri Lankan tourist visa?

Instructions for visa application in Sri Lanka

1. China citizens who hold diplomatic, official and official passports need to apply for visas in embassies and consulates in China in advance, while citizens who hold ordinary passports for personal purposes do not need to apply for visas in embassies and consulates in China for short-term travel and short-term business visits, but only need to log on to the embassy website to apply for Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). Special attention should be paid to the correct entry of passport number, name and e-mail address when applying. After the e-visa is approved, you can go to Sri Lanka with the printed e-visa approval letter and passport, and buy a round-trip air ticket within one month.

2. Those who get ETA will get a visa and can stay at the port of entry for up to 30 days. If it is necessary to extend it to 90 days, they should apply to the Sri Lankan Immigration Bureau.

3. China citizens can apply for visas on arrival at Colombo International Airport and Hambantota International Airport with passports valid for more than 6 months, round-trip or joint air tickets, hotel orders or proof of travel expenses. The entry visa can be extended for a stay of no more than 30 days, and the visa fee is $35. A 7-day transit visa requires a visa fee of $25. There is no need to pay a visa fee for a transit visa valid for 2 days.

4. Visa processing time: 9: 30 am to 1 1 (Monday to Friday).

5. Visa issuance time: 4: 00 pm to 4: 30 pm (Monday to Friday).
