Yapojiao seaside tourist resort

Apojiao was originally named "Apojiao". When 1988 was developed, the local Hakka dialect "Ya" was homophonic with "A", so it was renamed as "Ya Pojiao". There is a bronze statue in the seaside tourist area at Yapojiao, which is the god in the eyes of local people-"the bronze statue of Grandma". On festivals or the first and fifteenth days of the first lunar month, local people burn incense to worship.

According to textual research, during the Northern Song Dynasty, some people settled at the foot of Yapo and made a living by fishing and farming. In Nanning, Ningdi Jingguang took refuge here when he fled, and Wen Tianxiang, an anti-Yuan hero, was trained here for five months. Qi Jiguang, an anti-Japanese hero in the middle of Ming Dynasty, also set up an anti-Japanese stronghold here. 1938, Japanese invaders landed here, and then occupied Huizhou, Heyuan and Guangzhou. The importance of its strategic geographical location can be seen from this.
