Brief introduction of Shimane county situation
Shimane Prefecture is located in the southwest of Honshu Island, the largest island in the Japanese archipelago, facing the Korean Peninsula and Primorsky Krai of Russia across the sea, bordering Tottori Prefecture in the east, Yamaguchi Prefecture in the west, Hiroshima Prefecture in the south and the Sea of Japan in the north. It is a relatively remote mountainous county in Japan. There are hidden islands in the sea 40 to 80 kilometers to the north, and there is the most controversial Zhudao (called Dokdo in Korea). It covers an area of about 6,706.70 square kilometers, ranking 19 in Japan. Farmland accounts for only one-fifth of the total area and is sparsely populated. With beautiful natural scenery, it is a tourist county, one of the cradles of ancient Japanese culture, and Yinqi Island is the exile of the ancient Japanese Empress Bird Feather and Go Daigo. There is more rainfall in winter in the east and less in the west. The annual average temperature is 14.6℃, the average maximum temperature is about 27℃, and the average minimum temperature is about 4℃. All counties are located in Songjiang City, and another important city is Izumo City.
