Tourism resources in Luorong Town
Gaoyan is a cultural relic protection unit in the autonomous region. Located 3.5 kilometers southwest of Luorong Town, it is a limestone cave, about 500 meters long, and divided into upper, middle and lower layers. The stone curtain on the top of the lower rock is hung high, and there is a pier under the curtain. In the old days, there was a Guanyin, so it was named Guanyin Rock. There is a hollow stone inside the rock, which makes a thumping sound like the sound of a drum when struck. Not far away is a stalactite, which makes a sound like a bell when struck. The banyan root in the middle layer breaks out of the stone, resembling a giant dragon entwined among it, hence the name Panlong Rock. There is a white stone beast in the center of the upper hall. It has ears as big as fans, legs as big as pillars, and a soft nose that stretches out. It looks like a white elephant, so it is named Baixiang Rock. A smooth and flat boulder at the mouth of the rock is shaped like a bunk, which was called the "fairy bed" by the ancients. Inside the cave are preserved poems carved on the wall by Zheng Xiaogu, a talented scholar from Xiangzhou. In 1997, the county finance invested in repairing and adding pavilions, which were opened to tourists. Guandi Temple (also known as Guanyue Temple) is a county cultural relic protection unit. Located 50 meters east of Ximen Bridge in the old city, it was built in the Qing Dynasty. On the two walls facing each other in the main room, there are Chinese landscape paintings and birthday star pictures from the late Qing Dynasty, 3.9 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, with couplets on both sides. There are statues of emperors and guards in the temple; there is a circular turtle pool on the patio, with a giant turtle with a black snake on its back in the center. Beside the patio, there are statues of Tathagata Buddha, Guanyin, and the original Goddess for visitors to watch.
