Scenic Spot Introduction

Jiulong Valley is located in Juxi, Changtai Town, Chengxiang District, Putian City, Fujian Province, bordering Jiuli Lake, a provincial scenic spot. There are five streams downstream of Jiuli Lake Jiupiao Waterfall, commonly known as "Xiajiuli". It is only 32 kilometers away from Putian City and passes through Yangbian Village, a village surrounding the scenic Dongzhen Reservoir. The flowers and fruits along the way are fragrant and beautiful, and it is known as the "back garden" of Putian.

The forest coverage rate of Jiulong Valley is more than 95%, and it has rich forest landscape resources. The territory has undulating mountains, lush trees, shaded by sunlight, and intertwined ancient vines. There are 532 species of plants in 160 families in the scenic area, including yew. Southern yew, Fujian cypress, golden retriever and pond fir, a local protected plant in Fujian Province. There are vegetation landscapes such as Jiangnan Chi fir.

There are many kinds of animals in the scenic area, including 116 species of birds, belonging to 15 orders and 34 families, 34 species of mammals, 23 species of amphibians, and 43 species of reptiles. In the forest, hundreds of birds are singing, which is sweet to the ear. There are also 9 species of national first-level protected animals - sika deer - domesticated in the scenic area.
