Longshangxing (1)丨Foreword·Pearl of the Yellow River

A few years ago, on my way from Qinghai to Ningxia, I passed through Gansu and tasted Lanzhou Ramen, which is still fresh in my memory. However, I didn't walk there, I was always thinking about it, looking for opportunities, and finally realized my wish.

On the eve of May Day, I traveled alone in off-peak hours, traveling from Shanghai to Lanzhou, and to Ganzhou, Suzhou, Shazhou and other places. I strolled the streets of Jincheng, crossed the Hexi Corridor, experienced the ancient Silk Road, and admired the Beyond the Great Wall. scenery.

Gansu’s terrain is very long, and Gansu’s history is even longer. In this long and narrow land, the mighty Yellow River carries the wind and sand from the northwest, connecting history with one end and running towards the distance with the other.

I'm intoxicated.

Walking in Jincheng is full of meanings, and you have a deep understanding of the Yellow River culture; Lanshan is a good place, and you can climb up to see the beautiful scenery.

? Because of "Reader" magazine, I remember Lanzhou, a provincial city built on the north and south banks of the Yellow River. Surrounded by rivers.

? Lanzhou was called Jincheng in ancient times, named after the meaning of "Jincheng Tangchi", and is known as the "Pearl of the Yellow River". Lanzhou has a history of more than 2,200 years. The long-standing Yellow River culture, Silk Road culture, Central Plains culture, and Western Regions culture complement each other here.

On April 28, when I arrived in Lanzhou and settled in, I couldn’t wait to walk around the city.

Lanzhou is worthy of being called the "Capital of the Yellow River". It is the only provincial capital city where the Yellow River flows through the city. The Yellow River flows through the city for more than 150 kilometers, of which nearly 50 kilometers are in the urban area.

The Lanzhou waterwheel built along the river is majestic, rough and unique; the Zhongshan Iron Bridge is the first iron bridge across the Yellow River and is known as "the first bridge over the Yellow River in the world"; the Yellow River Mother Sculpture It is a representative of the Yellow River culture and the mother image of the Chinese nation, and is one of the most beautiful urban sculptures in the country; the Baili Yellow River Style Line is the longest urban riverside park and the largest urban linear park in the country, and is known as the "Lanzhou Bund". Two mountains confront each other, a river flows in the middle, and the diverse natural landscape creates the charm of a city that is uniquely endowed with mountains and water.

Baita Mountain Park is located on Baita Mountain to the north of the Yellow River Iron Bridge in Lanzhou City. It is named after the White Pagoda of the Yuan Dynasty on the top of the mountain. The White Pagoda has seven levels and eight sides. It is a solid brick tower and is about 17 meters high. , with a green roof on top and a round base below, it is white, tall and beautiful, with small brick-carved faucets on each level and corner, and a wind chime attached to the bottom, which floats in the wind and makes a clear and crisp sound. The White Pagoda Mountain has the potential to hug the Golden City. It is said that the White Pagoda was built in memory of the Tibetan Sakya Lama who went to Mongolia to meet Genghis Khan and died of illness in Lanzhou.

Entering Baita Park, hidden among the green trees, there was an antique building that caught my eye. I thought it was some kind of scenic spot at first, but when I got closer, I realized that it was actually a Chinese *** The Memorial Hall of the Gansu Working Committee immediately made me stand in awe, and I entered the museum to consciously receive education.

There are many bridges across the Yellow River in Lanzhou City. The most famous one is of course the Yellow River Iron Bridge, also known as the Zhongshan Bridge. ?

This bridge was built in 1909 and is located in the middle section of Binhe Road, Lanzhou City, at the foot of Baita Mountain. It is the first bridge built by introducing foreign technology in the entire northwest region of China in modern history. This special construction background and construction era make the Lanzhou Yellow River Iron Bridge a key to the study of modern history and occupies a unique position in the history of bridges in China. Walking into the Lanzhou Yellow River Bridge Museum in the Jinchengguan Cultural and Customs District gave me a deeper understanding of the centuries-old history of the Yellow River Iron Bridge.

The Yellow River Mother Sculpture is located in the middle section of Binhe Road on the south bank of the Yellow River in Lanzhou City and on the north side of Xiaoxihu Park. It is the most unique of the many sculptures across the country that express the Yellow River, the mother river of the Chinese nation. A beautiful one. The sculpture is composed of a "mother" and a "baby", which respectively symbolize the indomitable mother of the Yellow River who nurtures the Chinese nation and the happy and thriving descendants of China. The composition is simple and the meaning is profound, reflecting Gansu's long-standing Yellow River culture. .

Wuquan Mountain and Lanshan Mountain are good places that must be visited. On May 2nd, during my return trip, I went there specially.

In Wuquanshan Park at the northern foot of Gaolan Mountain in the south of Lanzhou City, crowds of people surge during the festival. This is a famous tourist attraction with a history of more than 2,000 years. The garden has undulating hills and ravines, lush trees, and a quiet environment. The temple buildings are built according to the mountains, and the corridors and pavilions are connected in an orderly manner. There are many temples in the park. The larger one, Junyuan Temple, also known as Chongqing Temple, is a Chinese Buddhist temple built in the Yuan Dynasty and has a history of more than 600 years.

If you don’t come to Lanshan, you haven’t come to Lanzhou. Lanshan Park is located on Gaolan Mountain, just south of Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. It runs along Longwei Mountain Ridge from Longxulaolang Valley in the east to Loquat Ridge in Longwei Mountain in the west. It is the first man-made forest park built by the people of Lanzhou through hard work.

The cable car that runs from the east gate of Wuquan Mountain to Lanshan Mountain is among the best in China in terms of length and altitude. It takes twenty-five minutes one way to reach the top of Lanshan Mountain. In order to save time and energy, I went up and down the cable car. Lanshan Mountain is more than 2,100 meters above sea level. You can overlook the entire city of Lanzhou. It feels very spectacular. The scenery on the mountain is also good. It is indeed a worthwhile trip.
