Chisong Huangdaxian Scenic Area
Yuanji Cave is located on the highest platform of Chisong Mountain, opposite Yingshen Gate, overlooking Daxian Lake. It is the main hall of Akamatsu Hwangdae Immortal Palace. The design of the main hall is unique, simple yet jubilant. In the center is a portrait of Master Wong Tai Sin. Whether you stand on the left or right, Master Wong Tai Sin's eyes are always looking after you, refreshing your spirit and protecting you from all evil. On the left side of the main hall is dedicated to the Supreme Laojun, a moral deity, a compassionate and peaceful person; on the right side of the main hall is dedicated to Guanyin, a Taoist named Cihang, whose charm is extraordinary and makes people awe-inspiring. Every day outside the hall, smoke curls up and pilgrims gather. The dust bells and evening drums, the fairy music flutters, and the sutra rhymes resound. There is an endless stream of people who come to worship devoutly, and tourists come in droves.
On the lower left side of Yuanji Cave, in the middle of the hall, there are statues of the Queen Mother of the West, Doumu Yuanjun, and Jiutian Xuannv Yuanjun. They are goddesses with a high status in Taoism. Surrounding the ring hall are the statues of the Four Heavenly Kings and the Tai Sui statue of the Sixty Years Old. The Tai Sui year of the Sixty Years is based on the arrangement of the stems and branches of the Chinese lunar calendar. There is a cycle every sixty years, and there is a Tai Sui year every year. Each Tai Sui has a ranking, and most of them are famous generals and scholars before the Warring States Period, which can be proved by history. The overall design of Yuanchen Hall is circular and unique. The top of the hall is painted with twelve zodiac animals, as well as ethnic patterns such as dragons and phoenixes. It integrates many aesthetics of sculpture, architecture and painting into one, and is a comprehensive expression of strong artistic value and religious cultural atmosphere.
The Tomb of Prime Minister Wang Huai
The former site of the tomb of Prime Minister Wang Huai is located next to the back lake of Chisong Mountain. The tomb was restored by the Hong Kong Chisong and Wong Tai Sin Society in 2002. Wang Huai, courtesy name Ji Hai, was a native of Jinhua in the Southern Song Dynasty. In the 15th year of Shaoxing (AD 1645), he was promoted to Jinshi and was recommended to be a great scholar. Later, he was promoted to the prime minister of Zuo. He was given the title of Duke of Lu as a young master. After his death, he was given the posthumous title of Wen Ding. He was the person with the highest official position in the history of Jinhua. The tomb area is surrounded by green pines and cypresses, covered by mountains and surrounded by clear water. In front of the tomb are stone carvings of sheep and tigers from the Song Dynasty. The carvings are simple and powerful, and the shapes are lifelike.
