I. Instructions for applying for a Norwegian visa
Norway joined the Schengen Agreement 5438+0 in March 2006. Our citizens can apply for Schengen visas in China and Norwegian embassies and consulates for short-term travel such as business and visiting relatives. However, for work, study, family reunion, etc. , or a long-term visa with a stay of more than 90 days, you must apply for and complete the relevant Norwegian visa before entering the country.
Second, the study visa description Since Nordic countries generally sign back, it is best to apply for a Norwegian study visa six months in advance. The Norwegian government attaches great importance to whether international students have enough financial resources to support the living expenses of studying in Norway. So don't forge the application materials and financial proof. If international students are successfully signed, they must apply for a residence visa in Norway after arriving in Norway. Generally, international students will stay in Norway for more than three months, so they should apply for a seven-day entry visa from the Norwegian Embassy in China and apply for an entry and residence visa at the police station with valid documents and admission notice within seven days of their arrival in Norway.
Three. Schengen visa related matters
If you want to go to more than two Schengen countries, you must apply for a visa at the embassy or consulate in China, the main destination country. The main destination country can be understood as the country with the longest stay, not necessarily the country that entered the country first. If the stay time is the same, apply for a visa to embassies and consulates in China, the first country of entry.
The purpose of Schengen visa is limited to travel, visiting relatives and business, and the longest stay is 90 days. Those who enter or stay for more than 90 days for other purposes must apply for different kinds of visas to embassies and consulates in China, the destination country, and go through the prescribed procedures in that country.
In principle, the visa will not be extended.
At present, China citizens cannot obtain tourist visas.
Applicants from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui apply to the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai, applicants from Guangdong Province apply to the Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou, and applicants from other places apply to the Norwegian Embassy in China.
Hong Kong and Macao residents and SAR passport holders can enter Norway visa-free and stay for up to 90 days. If you hold a British Overseas National Passport (BNO), a certificate of identity (C.I.) or a certificate of identity (D.I.), you must apply for a visa. After the closure of the Norwegian Consulate General in Hong Kong, it applied to the Finnish Consulate General in Hong Kong.
The Norwegian national visa was accepted by the Embassy and Consulate of China in Norway, but it took 6- 12 months to be examined and issued by the Norwegian Immigration Bureau. The Norwegian national visa only allows entry into Norway.
To apply for a visa at the China Embassy or Consulate in Norway, business passports (including diplomatic, official and general business passports) must be handled at the relevant ministries and commissions and the foreign affairs departments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government; Personal passport should be applied by myself in principle.
Applicants from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui apply to the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai, and applicants from other places apply to the Norwegian Embassy in China. Applicants from Hong Kong and Macao apply to the Norwegian Embassy in China or the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai.
Four, Norway visa, entry and customs instructions
(1) Norwegian visa regulations
Norway is a Schengen treaty country. China citizens can apply for Schengen in embassies and consulates in China for short-term business visits to Norway, visiting relatives and other purposes. Applicants in Shanghai should apply for a visa at the Shanghai Consulate General, and applicants in Guangzhou should apply at the Guangzhou Consulate General.
The maximum stay of Schengen visa is 90 days, and it will not be extended in principle. Passengers with a valid Schengen visa for one entry cannot return once they leave the Schengen area. Norwegian visa processing time is at least 10 working day. When necessary, the embassy or consulate will ask the applicant to come to the museum for an interview. Tourist visas to Norway can only be processed through travel agencies.
To apply for a business visa, I need to submit the materials in person, and at the same time, I need to provide the original and photocopy of the household registration book, the original and photocopy of the business license of China Company and other materials. Applicants with official passports (including diplomatic passports, official passports and ordinary official passports) must apply for a Norwegian visa at the foreign affairs department of the relevant ministries and commissions.
(2) Immigration and Customs Regulations
China citizens who enter Schengen countries with a Schengen visa can travel in Schengen countries within the validity period of the visa, and there is no need to check their passports and Norwegian visas when entering or leaving the country. If you enter or leave Norway from a non-Schengen country, you need to check your passport and Norwegian visa. Sometimes it is necessary to show the invitation letter, the contact address, telephone number, joint ticket and other materials of the inviter.
Generally, you don't check your health certificate and vaccination certificate when you enter the country, but as an international travel practice, you can take it with you for future reference. All passengers entering and leaving Norway must go through customs inspection. It is forbidden to bring drugs, fresh food, fruits and vegetables, plant seeds, potted plants, endangered animal and plant species and their products into the country.
When passing through the customs, if the goods you carry are not within the scope of taxation, you can choose the green channel; If the goods you bring are within the scope of taxation or need special permission, you should choose the red channel for customs declaration. Customs officials sometimes ask passengers to check their luggage and even search them. They will be fined if they are suspected of smuggling a small amount. If the fine is not accepted or the smuggling volume exceeds the fine limit, the relevant personnel will be handed over to the police.
