How to apply for a Japanese tourist visa in Beijing

Foreigners generally need to apply for a Japanese visa when visiting Japan. China (except Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) has not yet become a visa exemption target area in my country. Therefore, Chinese people visiting Japan must apply for a visa in advance no matter how many days they are going to stay.

In principle, if the visa applicant meets all the following conditions and meets the requirements, the visa will be issued.

The applicant holds a valid passport and has the right and qualification to return to or re-enter the country of residence.

The application materials submitted are true and in compliance with regulations.

The applicant’s activities or identity, status, and stay in Japan are in compliance with the status of residence and stay as stipulated in the Immigration and Refugee Recognition Act (Government Decree No. 319 of 1951, hereinafter referred to as the “Immigration Control Act”) .

The applicant does not meet any of the provisions of Article 5, Paragraph 1 (Inadmissibility of entry) of the Immigration Control Act.

The procedures and documents submitted vary depending on your passport type, purpose of visiting Japan, length of stay, etc. Please confirm the various visa application procedures and required materials.
