Yamen Sea Battle Cultural Tourist Area in Song and Yuan Dynasties is the first ancient sea battle cultural theme scenic spot in China, which was built on the site of Yamen Sea Battle in Song and Yuan Dynasties more than 700 years ago. It is the only large imperial palace in Guangdong Province, and is known as the Forbidden City in Guangdong.

Historical origin

This is the place where the all-powerful Song Dynasty fought the final battle with the Mongolian Yuan Dynasty in Guangdong more than 700 years ago. Hundreds of years later, the imperial palace of the Song Dynasty still stands on the top of the cliff.
