Forest tourism. In Qing Dynasty, the state-owned forest farms of Forest Management Bureau were distributed in the area of "Mulan seeking talents". The dense forest and profound cultural heritage in Mulan paddock have laid a foundation for the development of tourism. Since the beginning of the new century, the Forest Management Bureau has placed the development of forest tourism in the position of long-term development, and proposed that only by developing tourism can the Forest Management Bureau develop greatly. At the same time, the nature reserve in the upper reaches of Luanhe River and Aobaoshan Forest Park will be the focus of tourism development.

The nature reserve in the upper reaches of Luanhe River is the birthplace of Xiaoluan River, Yimatu River and Yixun River, the main tributaries of Luanhe River. There are rolling mountains and boundless forests, rare wild animals and plants, rich water sources and rich species. In the past, it was a sacred place for Mulan to seek immortality in the Qing Dynasty. Several emperors of the Qing Dynasty set up fences here, held autumn festivals and fenced martial arts, which was an important part of the Royal Hunting Garden in Mulan paddock. The development of tourism in the reserve will promote the development of grassland tourism in Chengde-Saihanba-the upper reaches of Luanhe River-Fengning-Jingbei, thus building a tourist area of Xiaoluanhe River with the theme of "Mulan Qiuxian" with strong characteristics of Manchu and Mongolian minorities.

Aobaoshan Forest Park was built in July 2002. It is located in the source area of Wulie River, the mother river of Chengde City. The source of the main peak, Chiffon House, also known as Aobao Mountain, is1.850m above sea level. It is the main place for the surrounding Manchu and Mongolian people to pay homage every spring, and it is also the nearest Aobao Mountain to Beijing. Aobaoshan Forest Park is favored by tourists for its unique forest environment and rich cultural accumulation of Manchu, Mongolian, Hui and other ethnic minorities. The park will adopt the mode of "construction, operation and rolling development", relying on Chengde tourism, and strive to build the tourism loop of Aobaoshan Forest Park and Saihanba Forest Park, which will become an important part of Chengde tourism.
