My impression of visiting Lingtong Rock in Zhangzhou, Fujian

According to colleagues in Xiamen, Lingtong Rock in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, with the Hanging Temple, is a very good tourist attraction, so we decided to visit here.

We drove on the expressway. Among the mountains, the highway built tunnels and bridges across the mountains. Along the way, there were green mountains and green waters, blue sky and white clouds. There were fruit trees on both sides of the road. The fruit trees were not big. The fruits are all wrapped in yellow and white paper. At first glance, they are densely packed. The mountains and fields are covered with such fruit trees, as if they are passing through an orchard country. When the car slows down, they can be seen clearly. There are large fruits hanging on the small fruit trees. They have no name or appearance. Such as pomelo.

Seeing the mountains in Fujian with my own eyes reminded my family of their relatives who lived here in the past. At that time, there were no roads built, and the life of the mountain people was very difficult. Most of the daily necessities had to be transported in from outside. Most of them carried their burdens on foot. Before liberation, bandits often came and went in these deep mountains and wild ridges. It was common for porters to be robbed. If you want to make a living here, you must have some connections, such as officers and village owners, otherwise it will be difficult to survive. Comparing the past and present, we can more personally feel the greatness of the motherland and build roads to get rich.

When the car arrived at the foot of Lingtong Rock, I saw towering mountain peaks in the distance. Through the gaps in the trees on the roadside, I saw a calm lake at the foot of the mountain. The sun shone on the clear lake. We The car continued to follow the car navigation system and circled up the mountain road. The mountain road was sometimes steep and sometimes curved. For safety's sake, we sounded the horn as a warning at every turn. The road was built to 1/3 of the mountain, and we were on a piece of flat land. We found a shady spot to park.

It was still very hot at the foot of the mountain at this time. The locals in Fujian were very good at doing business and had already set their sights on us. When they saw us coming out, they immediately greeted their business and prepared three large and small portions of incense to worship the Bodhisattva. Paper money, my mother believes in Buddhism and will worship Buddha when she sees it. The businessman is full of good words, which suits my mother's wishes. My mother chooses the best incense, and the businessman takes the opportunity to raise the price. However, my mother is already familiar with this trick and will not be easily fooled.

We carried incense and climbed up the mountain stairs. My mother had climbed many mountain roads. She felt that the mountain road here was wider and easier to walk than other mountain roads. I have known my mother's character since I was a child. When hiking in the mountains, my mother would avoid using unlucky or discouraging words and would either say nothing or say positive and good things.

There is a Junfeng Mountain in my hometown, with an altitude of more than 1,700 meters. This mountain is at the intersection of three provinces. There are two temples on the mountain, built in the center of the mountain and at the top of the mountain. In the past, there were few people going up the mountain and the mountain was steep. There are thorns everywhere. I heard people say that the Bodhisattva appears on the mountain and responds to all requests. Those who wish to go up the mountain must have the heart to ask. When going up the mountain in summer, in addition to bringing dry food, you must also bring winter cotton-padded jackets. The locals have a rule when it comes to going up the mountain. They must not talk nonsense and must be sincere. Legend has it that there used to be a man who wanted to climb Junfeng Mountain. He told others that he wanted to go have fun, but then he wandered around halfway up the mountain, climbing up and down for a long time, but never reached the top. Therefore, pilgrims would rather believe that it exists than believe that it does not exist.

The road to climb Lingtong Mountain is wide, and everyone passes this road up and down the mountain. No matter whether you go fast or slow, there are people to accompany you along the way. There is a courtyard halfway up the mountain, and there is a stream near the courtyard. , sitting here you can listen to the gurgling stream and the chirping of birds in the forest, and sometimes the breeze blows on your face, which is very cool. Some returning tourists were attentive and silently counted the number of steps, telling us that we still need to climb more than 1,000 steps to reach the mountain. After we take a short rest, we will continue climbing.

I climbed up step by step, holding on to the guardrail of the mountain road. The mountain road is designed so that there is a small piece of flat land after every dozens of steps. I found a camellia tree on the roadside. I heard that my relatives here can squeeze the camellia seeds. Oil, and there is a lot of it, this oil is usually used for cooking and eating. This oil has anti-inflammatory, nourishing and beauty effects. There are also hairy chestnut trees on the mountain. The hairy chestnuts hang all over the branches and are wrapped in thick green shells with thorns. They are not yet mature at this time. Once mature, the fruits will fall to the ground one after another, or they can be beaten with bamboo poles to peel off the thorns. The hard shell contains the chestnuts we often eat.

When Kuai Jian saw the Hanging Temple, he still had to climb the last flight of stairs. Above this flight of stairs was a very large rock. His sharp-eyed mother saw from a distance a small waterfall above the rock. The waterfall sprinkles downwards with inertia. Because it falls from a high altitude, it looks very beautiful to the naked eye, like a string of tiny pearls.

After reaching the top, there is another rock peak opposite. There are some small trees sparsely sandwiched between the rocks, green dots and white mist, and the scenery is charming. Looking down, the white house at the foot of the mountain becomes dwarfed.

The Hanging Temple has two floors, extending horizontally along the rock peak. There is a stove a little far away from the temple for burning money paper, and a pool further away for setting off firecrackers. We worship you all. After the Bodhisattva, go to the two places to burn paper money and set off firecrackers. The money paper can be made into a lotus shape. This is a modern practice. Watch the locals put a neat stack of money paper in their hands and hold it with one hand. , clenched a fist with the other hand and turned the money paper in circles. After a while, the neat stack of money paper would turn into a beautiful lotus flower, and then be thrown into the stove and burned. As soon as the firecrackers were lit, the echo resounded throughout the valley, which was very shocking.

Everyone has their own beliefs. No matter what kind of belief, you need to find its truth. You cannot be blind, paranoid or too superstitious. If you violate the truth, it will be counterproductive. My mother believes in Buddhism. When I saw her meeting the Buddha, she would recite her wish silently. We didn’t understand it before and thought she was just superstitious.

Now that I have grown up, I heard my mother say that every time I worship, my whole body feels relaxed and at ease. What people want in life is to be relaxed and at ease. In this case, why bother to interfere with it.

By the time we finished the important things, the sky that had just been clear suddenly turned milky white. Looking down, light smoke continued to float upwards, and the scenery at the foot of the mountain gradually blurred, with clouds and mist. It was getting thicker, like entering a fairyland. The sky was thundering and it was about to rain. Under the hanging rock, we felt uneasy and wanted to find a safe place to hide from the rain. The locals were very calm and told us that the good weather was just what they wanted and that rain meant fortune.

From this high place, when the sky is clear, you can have a sweeping view and feel relaxed and happy. No matter it's windy or raining, there are rocks to protect you. It's quiet here and it's a perfect place to concentrate on reading. The mountain road is rugged, the rocks are jagged, and the smoke is lingering. It feels like you are in a fairyland. Thanks to our ancestors for their blessings, it is now easy to witness the wonders of nature.
