Tijuana is a border town in Mexico, located at the top of Baja California in the northwest of the country, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the United States to the north. Generally speaking, when you arrive in California, and especially San Diego, you have to take some time to visit Tijuana because it's so close to the United States. Suffice it to say, it's only a 10-minute walk.

Tijuana was originally a desolate and backward farm and ranch, but it gradually attracted attention at the beginning of this century. After World War II, with the rise of tourism, it gradually developed into a leisure and entertainment base. Since the 1970s, it has become an important new tourist city in Mexico.
