The difference between a 3-piece set and a 4-piece set

The difference between a three-piece suit and a four-piece suit is the difference in quantity.

There are only three sets in a three-piece set, so it is called a three-piece set. It usually includes three pieces of bedding: a pillowcase, a quilt cover, and a bed sheet. An ordinary pillowcase is one. For two, make it just one pillowcase, or make it a sheet or duvet cover with just one of them. The four-piece set is also composed of pillowcases, quilt covers, and sheets. The only difference is that the pillowcases are a pair of two, which is a standard four-piece bedding set.

A three-piece set is a three-piece set, including a bed sheet, a quilt cover and a pillowcase. The three-piece set is missing a pillowcase, so it is generally used on a single bed, that is, for one person, while the four-piece set is generally used on a double bed, that is, for two people. But in some places, such as Europe and the United States, there are three-piece sets, that is, two pillowcases and one quilt cover, that is, no sheets, so the functions are still quite different from the ordinary four-piece set, but this time there are more A sheet.

Bedding Buying Guide

1. About fabrics

To put it simply, bedding fabrics can be divided into three types: natural materials and synthetic fibers. Natural materials include: pure cotton, linen, Tencel, silk, etc.; artificial synthetic fibers include polyester, peach skin, various velvets (coral velvet, flannel, milk velvet, etc.), both in terms of durability and comfort experience. It is said that natural materials are inferior to artificial synthetic fibers.

2. About pattern printing

Bedding does look a bit boring if it is just solid color, so most three-piece/four-piece bedding sets will have some patterns printed on them. There are two main printing methods: one is paint printing and the other is reactive printing. No matter what kind of printing, there will be some formaldehyde residue on the kit. This is normal, as long as the amount is controlled to a certain extent.

3. About count and density

The most common fabric counts on the market are 30s, 40s, 60s, and 80s (the higher the count, the higher the cost). Most five-star hotels use 60s or 80s satin fabrics with yarn density. The texture of the fabric is fine and soft, and it feels smooth and comfortable. Density refers to the total number of warp and latitude threads per unit area when weaving cloth. The sum of the latitude and longitude threads is about 200. (Example: fabric density: 130*170, then the fabric density is 300 threads).
