On April 25, the United Nations World Tourism Organization Education Quality Certification Committee (UNWTO.TedQual) sent a letter to Huaqiao University, confirming that the school’s School of Tourism has majors in tourism management, hotel management, exhibition economics and management, human geography and The certification score for the four undergraduate majors in urban and rural planning was 803 points (completion rate 95.03%, full score 845 points). All of them successfully passed the certification and obtained the highest certification level of 4 years, which is the best result for the first certification of domestic tourism colleges and universities.

It is understood that the World Tourism Organization’s Tourism Education Quality Certification System (UNWTO TedQual Certification System, referred to as UNWTO.TedQual Certification) was created in 1998 to improve the quality of global tourism education, tourism training and tourism research projects. , promotes global tourism ethics and moral standards, is of great significance to evaluate and improve the teaching and comprehensive management level of tourism schools, and has a high degree of visibility in the quality monitoring, program standardization, content quality and international vision of tourism education . Obtaining the education quality certification from the World Tourism Organization has become an important evaluation standard for world-class tourism institutions. The World Tourism Organization Education Quality Certification is currently the highest level international certification that schools participate in.
