Self-driving route for two-day tour in Shangluo Gorge. The main attractions are Xian 'e Lake, Dihua Ancient Town and Jinsixia Scenic Area.

Shangluo is located in the southeast of Shaanxi Province, at the southern foot of Qinling Mountains. Shangluo is named after Shangshan and Luoshui. First named in the Han Dynasty, it refers to Shangluo (county), Shang (county) and other place names. Shangluo Road (also known as Shangguyu Road) is one of the main roads of Qin Chi Road in history, which is the "throat of Qin Chu" and the traffic artery from Chang 'an to Southeast China.

Danfeng County was founded in June 1949, and was named after its back against Danjiang River and Guanfeng Mountain. Shang Yang's fief, the hometown of Jia Pingwa, a famous contemporary writer, is the fourth secluded place.

Shang, also known as "Lucheng". In the 13th year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty (1477), Shangxian county was upgraded to a state, and Shangnan county was established, belonging to Shangzhou, Xi, Shaanxi Province.

Similar to Grand Canyon Forest Park, National 5A Tourist Area and National Geological Forest Park. Roughly the Grand Canyon is 20.5km long and10km deep. There are more than 100 scenic spots such as Bailong Gorge, Heilong Gorge, Qinglong Gorge and Shiyan Village, but the deepest part is inaccessible. There are temperate and warm deciduous broad-leaved trees in the north and south of the scenic spot, and subtropical evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved trees, which are known as "canyon wonders and ecological kingdoms".

Self-driving route and itinerary

Starting from Xi 'an, self-driving route and itinerary:

Day 1: Xi 'an-Shangluo-Feng Dan-Shangnan, with more than 240 kilometers of provincial roads, national roads and expressway.

Depart around 7: 00 in the morning, and choose the appropriate route to enter G40 Expressway or S 107 Provincial Highway (Huanshan Expressway) according to the place where you live. Near Jiujianfang Town, Lantian County, enter the provincial highway S 10 1 and start your own journey. Provincial Highway S 10 1 is a mountain highway with beautiful scenery. You can choose a safe place to park and take photos according to your own preferences.

Near Heilongkou Town, drive into G3 12 National Road and continue to drive in Shangluo direction. Turn left in Shangluo City, cross Danjiang River and drive into Longgou Road (3 15 Township Road). It takes about 2 or 3 kilometers to reach Xian 'e Lake (Erlongshan Reservoir) scenic spot. You can visit according to your own preferences, or you can choose a nearby farmhouse for lunch.

After dinner, you can choose G40 Expressway or G3 12 National Road and drive to the ancient town of Fengdan Dihua. It is less than 30 kilometers from Shangluo to Dihua Ancient Town. Get off at Dihua Toll Station on G40 Expressway, and G3 12 National Road passes through Dihua Town.

The ancient painting town is the prototype of Jia Pingwa's novel "Shaanxi Opera" and is famous for its writer Jia Pingwa.

Feng Dan county

End the tour of Dihua Ancient Town at about 4: 00pm, and go south along G3 12 National Road via Feng Dan. Arrive at Shangnan around 6:00 pm, taste Shangnan cuisine and spend the night in Shangnan.

The next day: Shangnan-Jinsixia -Xi 'an, expressway and Township Road are more than 260 kilometers.

Depart around 7: 00 in the morning, enter the expressway from Shangnan West Toll Station, go to Jinsixia, and get off at Jinsixia Toll Station, about 40 kilometers. Take "Xiangtai Road" township road for about 10 km to reach Jinsixia Scenic Area. Visit according to your own preferences.

At about 2 pm, the tour of the Golden Canyon ended. Choose a farmhouse outside the scenic spot to eat.

After dinner, from the "Golden Canyon" toll station, drive into G40 expressway and go to Xi 'an. Arrive in Xi 'an around 6:00 p.m. and end the wonderful trip.
