Are Dingdingmen and yingtianmen the same place?

Dingding Gate was the southern gate of Guo Cheng outside Luoyang during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. It was named Jianguomen in the early Sui Dynasty and Dingdingmen in the Tang Dynasty. The street of Dingdingmen is called Tianjie. Dingding Gate is a gate with two doors, which is symmetrically distributed parallel to the gatehouse in the main city. There is a flying gallery between the gatehouse and the gatehouse, and the width and depth of its doorway are the highest in Sui and Tang Dynasties. This "one-word gate" is also an isolated case in the archaeology of Sui and Tang Dynasties.

Yingtianmen is the south gate of Wei Zicheng, formerly known as Zetianmen, and was renamed as yingtianmen in the first year of Shenlong (705), also known as Wufenglou. It is an important place for the imperial court to hold ceremonies such as enthronement, political reform, amnesty, banquets and reception of envoys from various countries. Tang Gaozong captured Baekje King, Empress Wu Zetian proclaimed himself, and Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty received the eighth Japanese envoy to Tang Dynasty, and other ceremonies were held on the rostrum of yingtianmen, with functions similar to those of the present Wumen Gate in Beijing.

Introduction:

Yingtianmen and Tintin are both in Luoyang, both historical and cultural tourist attractions. Yingtianmen is in the southeast corner of the intersection of Dingding Road and Zhongzhou Road, and Dingdingmen is in the northwest corner of the intersection of Longmen Avenue and Gucheng Road. The distance between the two scenic spots is not far, about 6.5 kilometers, and it takes about 20 minutes by car.
