I went to Bali in March 2009, but. . . . Very different from what I imagined. But it can be regarded as something gained. Now I will share some of my experiences when I went to Bali with friends who are about to go or want to go to Bali.

First of all, let me talk about the money issue that my friends are concerned about. When I went there, I found that it was very different from what many posts on the Internet said. In Bali, people bring more RMB, and the exchange rate is much more cost-effective than US dollars. And now None of the tour guides accept U.S. dollars. The financial crisis seems to have had a huge impact. Let’s talk about the exchange rate. 100 RMB = 160,000 Indonesian rupiah, 1 US dollar = 11,500 Indonesian rupiah. The US dollar and RMB are basically 1 = 6.9. Let’s convert it yourself. It is recommended that you exchange 200-300 US dollars. You can buy duty-free cigarettes or cosmetics at the Singapore airport. When you go to Bali, you can directly exchange RMB with the tour guide for Indonesian rupiah. If you don’t use up, you can exchange it back. There is also the issue of sunscreen. It seems that there are no products with an SPF higher than 50 in Shanghai. You can buy it at the Singapore Airport. Be sure to buy one with an SPF higher than 50. Otherwise, you will get sunburn while playing in the water at the beach. Let’s talk about something else.

Clothes: Basically T-shirts and slippers, and basically no other items. In addition to being cold on the plane, it is recommended that friends on red-eye flights bring a jacket on the plane to avoid catching a cold.

Food: The food in Bali generally tastes acceptable. The team meal we had in Bali this time was pretty good, and everything tasted good. I will provide a few restaurants for your friends’ reference: Jinfulou and Gaopeng. . . . I forgot all the other names. . . . . Haha, sorry. The BBQ at Jimbalan Beach was pretty good, and the atmosphere right on the beach was quite romantic.

Accommodation: We are staying in an international 4-star Ramada Hotel, which is considered an average hotel. We recommend that friends who go there and have a lot of money upgrade the hotel to an international five-star hotel so that they can live comfortably. The scenery is good and the breakfast is rich. If there are single brothers who want to try to find a foreign love, it is recommended to choose Hotel Nikko. In this hotel, you will be dazzled by the groups of Japanese and Korean girls.

OK: It is strongly recommended to fly on Singapore Airlines. It is much better than China Eastern Airlines in terms of comfort, service and in-flight meals. There will be a tour guide to pick you up when you arrive at the local area. If you are traveling on your own, you can take a taxi locally. The starting fee is 5,000 rupees and the cost is 5,000 rupees per kilometer. There is no free 3 kilometers like in Shanghai, so you can jump directly, so it is relatively expensive. I advise friends who can drive not to rent a car. The roads in Bali are really narrow, and it is easy to bump into the car coming from the opposite direction when you turn. , and Indonesia says that the steering wheel is on the right, and we are not used to it.

Tour: This is a semi-self-guided tour, with 2 days of free activities and 2 days of scenic spots. It is recommended that everyone go for a run in the itinerary. There is nothing particularly good about it. They are all average. There is a wood carving village. I suggest you cancel if you can. It is really not interesting. The drive is only one hour. When you get there, you can visit the shops and the tour guide will offer rebates. The place is really not that good. There are self-funded activities to participate in during the free days, but they are not cheap, haha. We participated in a: Love Boat full-day sea tour. At 85 US dollars, it is the most expensive self-funded project. How did you feel after participating? . . . . Generally, the only fun is at sea, otherwise it would be no different from a tropical storm in Shanghai. . . . . I suggest you that for free time, you can choose to play in the hotel swimming pool. Order a half-dry vodka margarita from the small PUB next to the swimming pool. Shake it well without stirring. Haha, let’s be like 007 again.

That’s all I can think of for now.

By the way, I forgot one thing. Many posts said that there is a SHOPPINGMALL in KUTA Beach in Bali that is cheaper than DFS. That is all nonsense. It is not cheap at all and is more expensive than in China. In addition to POLO T-shirts, many stores offer 50% off if you buy 3 pieces, which makes it much cheaper in total. It is recommended that everyone use Indonesian rupiah, but there are some stores that accept US dollars, but it is very troublesome to exchange them back and forth, and some places do not give change. Don't go to the POLO store that the tour guide takes you to. It's cheaper than the one in the store, but the fabrics are definitely not as good as those in the authentic store.
