Laglaggoumen Primitive Forest Scenic Area is located in Laglagoumen Manchu Township in the northern mountainous area of ??Huairou County. With a radius of more than 200,000 acres, there are many beautiful peaks, majestic mountains and secluded valleys, and hundreds of various scenic spots.

The Laogoumen Primeval Forest Ecological Scenic Area has a total area of ??90 square kilometers. It is the largest natural forest area with the richest biological species in Beijing. Starting from Beijing, you can reach it by traveling 150 kilometers north along the Jingfeng Highway. Here there are thousands of rocks and ravines, towering cliffs; the climate is cool and the air is pure; there are vast forests and green waves. Deep in the inaccessible jungle, you can see the mysteries of natural science that still cannot be deciphered. With its unique forest environment and high-altitude cool climate advantages, the ecological zone has become one of the rare summer resorts in Beijing.

The surface altitude in the scenic area is 700-1,700 meters, and there are more than 20 peaks above 1,000 meters above sea level. The climate here is cool in summer. Even in July, the hottest month of the year, the average temperature is only 22°C, and the temperature difference between day and night reaches 15-18°C. In winter, the mountains are covered with heavy snow and the weather is freezing. Due to vertical changes in the climate at high altitudes, in late April every year, spring rains fall at the foot of the mountain, the ice disappears and the streams are full, but the snow is still mottled halfway up the mountain.

In mid-May, spring flowers are blooming and drizzle is falling down the mountain, but the top of the mountain is often still covered with white snow and hanging trees. Until late May, glaciers stretching dozens of meters long and more than one meter thick could still be seen in the sewers at higher altitudes. There are more than 300 species of wild animals in the scenic area, including 19 species of mammals, 33 species of birds, 11 species of reptiles, 6 species of amphibians, and more than 200 species of insects.

There is also the famous longevity spring here. The spring water is sweet, continuous and long-lasting. Dozens of families have drank this spring water for generations, and every family has an elderly person over ninety years old. It is not uncommon to find centenarians living in the same household. Since the trees, water and air here are good, the locals have taken advantage of these natural advantages and developed nutritious Baihua drinks so that more people can enjoy the gifts of nature.
